If it’s an Electric Bus taking us all to Richmond this weekend, that’s fine!!! If not, then no.

Will the batteries of the 'green' busses be recharged nightly from Dominion Energy's coal fired plant at Mt, Storm WVa?

Is FCPS stupid or something. Of course Dominion Energy is going to help offset the cost of the initial delivery of buses and installation of charging equipment. Then slowly over time they will expect the County to pay the full price of the entire fleet and all the associated charging equipment. Then, once the County has gone all electric, Dominion Energy is the sole provider of electricity to charge those buses and will make the County pay through the nose for that energy, more than making up for their "generosity" during the initial stages of the transition.

Bottom line is the buses are more expensive, the charging equipment is expensive, the County will have the expense of getting all their mechanics and electricians certified to maintain and repair the buses and charging stations, and at some point in the future we will have thousands of batteries that will need to be disposed of.

It is a stupid idea for the County to take on this expense. They have been played by the fast talkers at Dominion Energy. Dominion is a for profit company, not a charitable organization.

Meanwhile kids can’t read. Not all schools have what they need to teach the basics. What about kindergarten? Buses aren’t even required by law. Just stop with the leftist BS. We don’t care about buses or tampons, stupid Board.
