Democrats took control of the General Assembly in Virginia in November 2019 but they hold only a scant majority in the Virginia Senate . Good post. I still have an issue with the "registration". I already registered when I bought my guns. Records are in the hands of VA State Police.

Better to register them and be able to shoot them legally , then keeping them in a 10 inch PVC pipe getting anxious every time a few LEO units pass your place slowly looking at you with a metal detector hanging out of the window with the gas tanker and the B wagon following behind with the SWAT team sniper teams on your nearby neighbors roofs LOL!

Is all the black semi auto rifles will be way up in price and few left once word gets out. Connecticut passed a similar ban requiring a certificate of possession to keep grandfathered guns with no new guns allowed into the state and no sales of the grandfathered guns in Conn. Owners can take them out of state to sell however. Virginias new law may be similar.
Conn. went back to the 90's with the certificate of possession required as that's when they originally required them to be registered and those guns were the only ones they allowed to be grandfathered after the cowardly horrific attack at Sandy Hook that caused the new law to be passed . Prior to the new law, guns who's owners had the Certs of possession could sell them in Conn. to others who could pass background checks and get a Cert . No more after the new law went thur

I have a source. He will have a table at the show. I told him last time to save me several stripped lowers. He's good for it. I will walk away with 5. Two will be budget (around $35 each) and 3 will be forged Spikes lowers,a better name. I get the Spikes lowers from him for $75 each and use them for higher quality builds.

We will have to see all of what the Dems are proposing in 2020 , which should be in Jan 2020 next month . That said I would like to see regulations that keep guns out of crazy's hands not bans as I too am horrified when mass or any killings of innocents occur in any manner ..we all are !

DAJAX figures Virginia Democrats realized any ban without regulation first would be declared unconstitutional which would wipe all states bans off the law map across the USA.
The campaign rhetoric was they were going to ban guns for votes
Never the less the Democrats have other bigger plans ...a huge step up ..they foolishly think that they will take it all in the 2020 national election with the impending US Senate shutdown of a kangaroo court clown show their running in the House right now ,and in 2021 will ban assault weapons and more guns nation wide making it EZ to try to confiscate your legally purchased registered guns in Virginia , after you register them next year.
And.. If Dems don't win in 2020 they will still be in power in Virginia till Han 13th 2022 giving them time to ban totally all "assault weapons" if some maniac Democrat makes a mass attack to become a sacrificial gun control "hero" with a AR or AK platform semi auto rifle declaring "reasonable regulations don't work"
They will know exactly where the new "Virginia or National Gun Grabbing Goon Squads" (composed of whiny weak members of the "Young Democrats" ) need to assault and whose pets to suppress at 230 am and whom to hose down with full auto fire until the Supremes shut them down which will take time because Roberts is "squishy" unless RBG kicks the can before midnight pm Jan 3rd 2021 allowing President Trump to appoint a hard core 2nd amendment supporter whose confirmation will be ran thru congress by the nuke option if need be if Dems do take the senate and WH.
Democrats also have not much knowledge of firearms to say they will ban gun parts , lower receivers which are the firearm under federal law yes, but other parts are just parts which could be used by inventors to build prototype medical machines to save lives or cure cancer. Who knows what some genius can use a hammer or trigger from an AR for in some lifesaving device ?? Why I might have some plans for that myself to aid mankind to cure disease, and you other inventors too..

PP, a bit verbose, but I agree. You'd have to be a complete pussy and just plain stupid to register guns before the SCOTUS rules on whatever shit the VA dems are going to ram through. Registration is irrevocable. Once you do it, there's no going back.
