MD...crazy nogs and tons of foreigners who weren't taught to drive but given a drivers license by the state as a way to gain state tax revenue from car sales, property tax, automotive service, and gas tax

I can safely say that the DMV has some of the worst in the country? The worst? I don’t know, but I’ve lived in enough other States to know that DMV drivers - and Maryland in particular - are horrible. I have never experienced such flagrant disregard for the use of turn signals anywhere, nor such a high concentration of reckless driving (especially on the MD side of 495). DC makes LA drivers look like driving instructors - seriously.

I don’t know which is more astonishing - the number of fake paper tags or the cops’ willfully ignoring them. I also regularly come across cars without ANY tags at all; imagine enforcement being so low that people are willing to drive without tags. I’m not saying it’s the cops’ fault, as they may be taking orders from the “criminal justice reform” politicians that run every single local government in the DMV (and enforcing traffic violations is, of course, “racist”), but having lived in a region with 10x the population of this area, I see 10x more tag violation in DC than places with significantly greater populations.
