Can someone define "offensive"?

Can someone define offensive? I'm not talking about the dictionary definition.

I'm not talking about a picture of eesh. I'm not talking about anyone on FFXU.

What does "offensive" mean? Who determines what is offensive?

offensive has now been coopted by the left as ANYTHING they disagree with or hurts their feelings

never worry about being offensive, you have freedom of speech and using it publicly will wake up others to do the same

facts do not care about feelings

careful though, new York has already passed unconstitutional laws restricting free speech

you can legally say any words to any person at any time as long as they are not a direct threat of violence

Who can define offensive are Democrats as anything involving liberty offends them and anything that suppresses liberty that you suggest as offensive will get them on edge as they ponder it for a few seconds then decide it is

What is offensive to you might not be offensive to another person.

I asked the question because what if, after destroying the 2nd Amendment, the government decides to go after freedom of speech? Look at China. Look at Hong Kong. No guns for civilians, no ability to speak against the government without fear of being imprisoned or worse, and no means by which to stand up to the monster that was given the power to make the people powerless.

You may say right now that you're good with it. Everything will be ok. But it won't. And if you truly care about the kids the way you say you do, you will protect their future and their right to have their freedoms to include freedom of speech. That freedom, in addition to all other constitutional rights, is guaranteed by the threat of an uprising by the people. Without that power, the government is unstoppable.

It is offensive that anyone would support Obama.

Well, if you want the most recent Virginia Attorney General's opinion on the topic, there is one from 2009. The upshot is that it would include (because these are things about which the VSP inquired) "the acts of harassing, stalking, threatening, or placing a person in reasonable fear of bodily injury." Note that it doesn't seem it is _limited_ to those.

That was 10 years ago. You know things have changed, right? And are you following China and/or Hong Kong and their inability to speak out? Of course, the sterile definition of offensive exists to protect people from real harm. I'm not sure if that works or not, but it's there. What about insulting Obama? Insulting Trump? Can that be deemed offensive? And is there recourse from the government? Or is it free speech? So far, it is free speech protected under the 1st Amendment. What if the 1st Amendment protections are abolished after the government takes away the 2nd Amendment rights? Then maybe they can start chipping away at your right to be free from illegal searches. Or maybe or right to assemble?

I would not expect a logical or rational response to this. The left who voted for the enslavement of their children have no solid ground to stand on. Their knee-jerk reaction to an issue that is related to mental health (not guns) is setting up society to be overpowered by government.

Come on people. Gimme some answers.

How are your new voted-in politicians going to stop an armed criminal (that didn't surrender their weapons) when they bust in your door, shoot you, and maybe even make you watch as your cute teen daughter is deflowered?

HOW? You gonna ask the criminals politely to wait a few minutes while you dial 911? You don't have a gun.

What's gonna happen? Your neighbor cant come to your rescue either. They arent armed. The WHOLE STATE of VA will be a criminal's wet dream.
