This is why I think democracy isn’t sustainable and monarchism is

In the last hundred years many European nations have experienced fascism, communism, and military dictatorships. However, countries with constitutional monarchies have managed for the most part to avoid extreme politics in part because monarchies provide a check on the wills of populist politicians. European monarchies--such as the Danish, Belgian, Swedish, Dutch, Norwegian, and British--have ruled over countries that are among the most stable, prosperous, and free in the world. Constitutional monarchs make it difficult for dramatic political changes to occur, oftentimes by representing traditions and customs that politicians cannot replace and few citizens would like to see overthrown.

You are naive and uneducated. While you are correct that pure democracies will burn themselves out as the tyranny of the majority will eventually consume everything, a constitutional republic is the way to go. It replaces the role of the monarch with a foundational set of laws that are slow to change because it takes so much effort and super majorities to do so. Thus, the will of both the majority and minority are represented. Remember that all your precious monarchies would be speaking German right now if the one true constitutional republic the world has ever known didn't wake from its isolationist slumber and decide to kick ass in two theaters, taking on the other two biggest military powers in the world at that time and saving the world in less than 4 years.

Long live the republic! Fuck commies, monarchs and theocracies.

Italy was a fascist monarchy. Romania was a fascist monarchy. Both Romania and Bulgaria were monarchies when communism was imposed on them. Imperial Germany during WW1 is often considered to have been a military dictatorship.

Portugal & Spain were monarchies that were overthrown by socialists. The socialist gov'ts were overthrown by fascists. Spain did get its monarchy restored. Portugal never did.

Greece had a constitutional monarchy that was effectively overthrown by fascists, When the socialists kicked out the fascists, the monarchy was voted out.

Albania & Yugoslavia had monarchies tthat were replaced by communists.

Democracy equates to mob rule. Mob rule translates into policy that isn’t dictated by logic, but by emotions and flawed ideals. Ideally the philosopher king is the most effective ruler. Those however are few and far between. Fascism coupled with productive authoritarian capitalism is the only effective and feasible system of governance.

The monarchy of Portugal was overthrown by a coalition of centrist and leftist Republicans.

The overthrow of the Spanish monarchy is a bit more complicated, in part because Spain lacked governmental stability from the early 19th century. Socialists did play a part in the overthrow of the monarchy in the 1930s, as did others.

In both Albania and Yugoslavia the monarchs were chased out when Italy and Germany invaded. By the end of WW2 the areas were already controlled by communists who simply prevented the monarchs from returning. Something similar had happened earlier in Montenegro where the king was chased out by the Austro-Hungarians during WW1 and was prevented from returning after WW1 by the Yugoslavian monarchy.

Greece is also a royal mess. You have a Greek king overthrown by the Entente in favor of his son in WW1 who returns to power after his son's death. He in turn is overthrown and Greece is a Republic followed by a Royalist restoration followed by a Nazi conquest followed by a Royalist restoration supported by Great Britain. Technically it was the Greek fascists who ended the monarchy before their fall. The Socialists simply confirmed this.

Bulgaria is a fun one. The king of Bulgaria who was ousted by the communists returned after the fall of communism and for several years served as prime minister of the Bulgarian republic.
