You get a route with X number of packages to deliver and the algorithm decides how long it should take you. The formula is based on no traffic and you doing about 20 over the speed limit with every traffic light being green and running to the doors. If all that happens, you might make $12 an hour. If not, it's slave wages, lots of miles on your car, insurance issues if they find out and lots of other problems.

Good luck.

That guy's d3scribing the old system. That's gone.

Since the Teamsters came in we're all getting union pay & bennies. The old system was a rats nest, for sure.
But after Amazon was presented with collective bargaining, suddenly we got union breaks, tenure rules, cost of living increases, and all kinds of special OT/holiday pay. The routing, load volume and pace algorithms were all under union scrutiny. They also instituted veicular wear and tear allowances! The result is a much better job... a job you can enjoy and actually grow to like! Plus, you get Amazon Prime free along with a 15%
employee discount at Whole Foods.

I am on disability due to an unrelated car accident, but I kinda miss it.

Lazer ship (if they’re still around), years ago, required a commercial insurance policy for your car that YOU pay for! Easily over $150/month now I assume.

This fellas right on!

I was laid off from the GM plant up on Broening Highway in Canton where we were making Dodge Caravans. It closed back in 05 & I collected unemployment benefits for several years & did a gang of temp work before starting with Amazon Prime in 14. What a slave ship. FUCK ME. The Teamsters came in and saved our asses. Besos us one greedy rat bastard & his wife runs a close second. We're a lot better off than we were before.

Yeah, shit.

You're right. You're right.

Of course, we weren't working Caravans. My dumb ass wife kept insisting on buying those fucking Caravans even after I got laid off. Bitch.

I was a body integrity specialist on the 3-door Astro. Not nearly popular as that fucking Caravan.

Take me drunk I'm home...I been fueling up for work tomorrow.
