After the health care bill passes the government will have the authority to deny yo health care if:

-you eat food deemed "unhealthy" by the government

-smoke

-use drugs (you're blood tests will be monitored by government employees)

-don't exercise

-weight too much

-participate in risky hobbies like skydiving, surfing, motorcycle riding, ride horses, rock climbing, shoot firearms

-have unprotected sex

-don't wear a seat-belt

-visit "risky" foreign countries, i.e. Mexico, Jamaica, anywhere in Central America, China, any Middle Eastern Country...

-have a accident that the government deems "unsurvivable"

-have a disease the the government deems "incurable"

I would rather tax payer dollars to go towards something other than supporting someone who cannot take care of themselves. I work in a field where I watch so many scumbags take advantage of the government, find loopholes to get free passes and free money, and break the law. People use their food stamp debit cards to get tattoos and trade gallons of milk from WIC for sex/drugs. This healthcare plan will cost the county so much money and we are already in debt. Don't get me wrong - I have a heart, give to charities, and understand some people can occasionally fall on hard times. But the 85% of people who take advantage of the governments benefits ruin it for the rest of them.

I agree, it is shitty to watch people take advantage of things they are getting with our tax money. I have had people come up to me in the grocery stores asking me if I'll take their food stamps for money so they can buy cigarettes, and I just say no.

There are always going to be people who take advantage of the free money, but maybe what we need is stricter regulations on these handouts, so the people who actually need it will get it, while those who don't, won't. It is sad that people who have the ability to work and earn take advantage of something that is meant for those who are not capable.

The reform will cost a lot of money if this bill is passed, but if Obama is so insistent on passing the reform, despite the fact that he is jeopardizing his political rating, don't you think it is something worth doing?

Nothing in life is free, but I think I would support this reform UNDER THE CONDITION that there is some sort of guarantee that our money is indeed going to those who need this. I am by no means well off, but I am not opposed to spending money on something that is actually beneficial to people like me and my family, as well as to those who are not as lucky as I am to have a roof over my head and parents who are paying for my insurance and living expenses.

i'd rather we spent our taxes on blowing up sand piles and killing people.

Actually, Ms. Pelosi is no threat to me whatsoever. She is a swine of a person and wallows in the filth of corruption.

As to Swinezilla here, I lived in California for years and saw what she did there for the state. Have you looked at how well off California is now? That wasn't policies of Bush and company.

The sad part is Nancy may actually be representing her section of that state accurately, but what says her influence as one official of one state can sway other representatives to follow her lead and ignore the electorate.

I truly do not like Nancy at all. Nor do I care for how Mr. Obama has conducted his term thus far. Still, if each and every elected official actually voted based upon their own local electorate, this 'Health' Bill may not have passed. It was backroom deals and lobbyists.
