Chinese build 57-storey skyscraper in 19 days – timelapse video

but was it safe? how many crane collapses does china have these days (hint: not none)

NYC would more likely have two cranes in the middle of the building

you see china has extended a floor through the window to hold the base of the crane - and it seems to have not over-stressed the window frame (not permanently damaged the concrete of the structure). time will tell.

(microfractures in concrete (separation from rebar, small cracks that in time always go worse, other issues) - these can be caused by stressing concrete before it's cured. it takes a year totally submerged under water to cure concrete "very well" btw. being built in 19 days means the windows sills and their floor columns were receiving huge stresses just days after still being poured)

it would be difficult to avoid stressing the window - the stress would have to be relocated (ie, to the fire scape / elevator central area) - it would not be "easy" since anything extending the weight would ... want to crack or rock around a central pivot (due to relocated / higher center)

also completely un-obvious is the video practially appears to be computer generated: meaning you don't see workers, you can't see inside (how many columns? how big?). there's allot that is not seen.

YOU CANNOT SEE IF IT IS IRON OR REINFORCED CONCRETE (iron would be expensive and "unlike china" to do, but would go up quicker) (it would mean this part of china has allot more building money than new orleans does, for example)

The 2-million-square-foot (180,000-square-meter) building was constructed using prefabricated modules

The core of the J57 building, also known as Mini Sky City, has been built using a total of 10,345 tonnes of HISTAR beams supplied by ArcelorMittal Europe – Long Products plant in Differdange.

HISTAR steels are quenched and self-tempered (QST) steels with outstanding weldability and ductility. Supplied in several different grades, HISTAR has been used in many skyscrapers worldwide such as the Freedom Tower in New York and the World Financial Center in Shanghai.

China builds skyscrapers like Ikea builds furniture. It's made to last maybe 2-3 years, then it'll be thrown away.

THEY USED REAL STEELE, STEELE THAT NEW ORLEANS COULDN'T AFFORD, BECAUSE CHINA IS TAKING ADVANTAGE OF USA IN WAYS DEMOCRATS DEARLY WISH TO LIE ABOUT AND KEEP QUIET

LIKE BLADDER JACKING CELL PHONES, AND EXCLUSIVE DEALS WITH WALMART TO KEEP USA PRODUCTS OFF THE SHELF

in other words, stupid millenials, they RAN CIRCLES AROUND YOU

it was not high tech or patented: it was a matter of paying for steel and man hours and planning (and hiring cranes and so on): ALL MONEY not high tech at all

In my opinion, quality is more important than speed, but this is a very beautiful video. I'm wondering how reliable this building is. The problem is that lately manufacturers have started to save a lot on parts and they buy very cheap parts and materials. They keep making awesome profits and don't even think that their reputation is getting worse. Modern buildings can be damaged even by a weak earthquake and this is completely abnormal. It all depends on the use of parts and fasteners. For example, my friend and I started building two large office space. He wanted to make more profit and I wanted to build a high quality and reliable building and so I only used the most expensive and high quality materials and fasteners from https://intact360.com/ and the result was awesome. Soon, as a result of a strong earthquake, most of the buildings on the outskirts of the city were destroyed, and my building continued to stand still. So it's very important to think about reputation and reliability.
