Lower Speed Limit to 35 Save Lives
Date: October 04, 2019 01:32PM

Let’s eliminate highway auto fatalities by lowering the speed limit to 35 mph.The big oil companies want you to drive 70 to 90 mph. In the USA last year there were over 36,000 deaths on the roads, yet no one protests this horrifying stat. If we can change mindsets and build in additional time to reach our destinations, thousands of lives would be saved. Have fun commuting on I66. Your chances of dying are high. Drive fast. It’s your funeral.

Yet less people die on the autobahn. Enforce things like passing no passing on the right, left lane hogs and following too closely if you want to make a difference. Also make getting a license much harder, the current tests are way too easy.

If I can't have an AR you can't have a Corvette. No one NEEDS to go 180mph! The Amish are very wise indeed

You might observe things, but your retention and intelligence level is that of a retard. Are you related to the chick that suggested eating the babies?

I observe that you are unable to think critically, or outside of the box. A simple minded troll, if you will.

All but a few stretches of Autobahn have speed limits now, because people were dying senselessly. Airbags and seat belts offer limited protection above 55mph or so. A study in the 80's found that reducing the speed limit to 50 would save ~ 3000 people a year in the US and billions of gallons of fuel at the cost of only an additional 8 hours extra commie annually. This is the elephant in the room. But the genie is already out of the bottle just like with guns what now?

55 or 60 mph speed limits on Interstates are fine.

The problem is not the speed limit or the oil companies.

The problem is narsistic a$$holes who think they own the road.

It's also hilarious watching these gas guzzler SUVs flyng down the left lane at 80 plus mph. The driver's must have small penis syndrome.

I wouldn't exactly call that all but a "few" stretches

Don't know where you got your other stat of people dying senslessly, maybe you're thinking of US highways?

With all those deaths, why aren't the Democrats shouting :Hell yes, we're going to buy your Toyotas... take away your Chevrolets"?
