Why: because they've written a bill that allows them "access" to emergency money whenever a "weather event" is declared by the same people profiting from the event.



(there is nothing ahead or behind in forcast that would suggest an emergency watch, not even remotely)

This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the Maryland portion of the
Chesapeake Bay, Tidal Potomac River, and adjacent counties in
central Maryland and northern Virginia as well as the District of
Columbia.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

There is an isolated threat for gusty winds over the waters from a
shower or thunderstorm late this afternoon and early this evening,
especially south of Indian Head on the Tidal Potomac and south of
Drum Point on the Maryland Chesapeake Bay, Fairfax, Manassass, other.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Friday through Wednesday

No hazardous weather is expected at this time.

.SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...

Spotter activation is not expected at this time.

What concerns me is the integrity of the people who work at the NWS that allow/participate in this. If they are complicite that is wrong. If they are being coerced or forced into making these calls then I feel sorry for them and they need to have the balls to make it known to the public that this is happening.
