Gasoline Storage Regulations

What are the rules in Fairfax or VA for keeping gasoline in your backyard?

I got a next door neighbor who is got two large red containers with gas, which he uses for his lawnmower, etc stored right next to our common fence.

They just sit there, and lately I could smell it too...

Whats the law on this?

i think you're SOL unless its a 1000+ gallon tank, then they'd need permits/etc.

You should help yourself to some. Gas is expensive, save a couple of bucks.

Actually a proper Yankee backyard would not be complete without a few gas cans hanging around.

@VEIK: Has the thought occurred to you to speak to your neighbor and ask them to move the gas cans or at least make sure the lids are screwed on tightly?
