At that time, JWB had the same theatrical agent, Jack something, as Latoya Jackson. Jack later "married" Latoya in a sexless marriage, according to her. The agent specialized in representing whack jobs. I think he represented Joey Buttafuco for a short period.

Interesting side note "From Rock to Jock" dj and sports announcer Johnny Holiday's real name is Bobbitt. I never have been able to find any other connection (so to speak) between them, though.

Lorena could be a Realtor...just about everybody else was during the boom times of the last few years. Real estate license (which any moron can get) issuance exploded. Most of those new Realtors are out of the biz now that things are back to normal (ie. that selling houses is hard work again).

Trickie is right about Wolf Run, though....a small brokerage specializing in high dollar houses....you would need a track record to get on with them. Long & Foster, Jobin, etc will rent anybody a tiny desk and a phone.

Well, Westox, I know a lot of people and I have a good memory. I worked in the school system for 32 years and I am active in my neighborhood and in my church. I also read a lot and tend to remember things. For example, one of my former students was the photogenic young lady who seems to be the subject of a long running topic here. I told you how I knew Lorena was not working at Wolf Run realty.

For twenty years, through the 90s, we had the Bobby Poe Pop Music Survey conference in the area. The last few years it was held at the Sheraton Premier in Tysons. For a long weekend the hotel was filled with radio djs, record company people, and music stars both new and established artists. It was out of control!

It was almost a big secret - never listed in any of the local papers or anything. It seemed like about half of the Arlington County police were at the hotel providing security. It was almost like the hotel was on a lock down. Don and Mike would mention on their Friday show they were gong to a "DJ Convention" but would never say it was local or give any details. The only mention was on the radio when you heard those Kemp Mill records radio ads you would here at the end of the commercial "Kemp Mill records welcomes all the music industry heavyweights in town for the Bobby Poe convention".

I remember seeing Crowded House playing a full concert poolside at the hotel. John Cougar Mellencamp gave an 25 minute acoustic performance one year and then got really wasted at the after parties. One year every record company or DJ chick went went wild when David Cassidy showed up (everyone got laid that night). At three o'clock in the morning 3 or 4 of the moody blues gave an intimate performance in the hotel lobby with just a piano for about 15 people taking a break from their drinking.

Dona and Mike went every year and if I remember correctly, they were master of ceremonies for the award banquet after Mellencamp played. So many memories. I wish I could remember them all.
