The women of Whitacre Road petitioned for restricted parking in front of their houses so Woodson students could not park there. They won, and there are plenty of signs prohibiting all except Whitacre residents from parking there during the day.

In the morning they wake up and move their cars from their driveways to the Woodson side of the street and leave them there all day, taking away more street parking from Woodson students and leaving their reserved side of the street empty. I saw one do it again today.

This is not fair. Can we do anything about it?

This type of passive aggressive behavior is a symptom of a bigger issue - Someone is not getting enough dick.

Yeah we knew the school was there, its just the kids are trying to get out of having to pay for parking on school grounds.

And we the homeowners are tired of having our lawn and streets trashed by the students on a daily basis.

I personally don't t mind the student parking on the School side of the road, but at the end of the day when they leave, and pens paper, notebooks, ect are left behind it looks like shit, and no one from the school is gonna clean up. and the kids dont give a fuck

I would never buy a house near any high school. Football games, soccer games, special events etc. lots of noise, trash,lots of overflow parking on nearby streets.

I am curious why these folks expect special parking privilege when they can park on my street for as long as they want.

The FFX City parking restriction runs along the length of Whitacre from 236 down to the start of Smokewood Park. (Great name for park across the street from a HS!)

The restrictions also extend the length of Trapp Road.

What's the big deal?

Woodson students can park further down on Whitacre and all along Laurel.

Sure, it's a longer walk by a block or two.

While FFX City allows for residential permit parking districts, keeping the kids from parking on Whitacre is probably (being cynical) pushed by FCPS too.

My kid goes to Woodson and parking is $500.

Have all of the students who drive to school ride the bus for a month.
