* the man lives and is not tortured in any way, he will not live a life in hauntings and suffering. he will "live".
* he will die and a painful torturous or "drawn out over years" death IS NOT ALLOWED, period
the reason victim families aren't allowed to do the privilege is they often act WITHOUT EVIDENCE and often OVER-REACT: and so the judge protects the accused from a "civilian hanging mob"
the issue about a drug lord performing a hit job on a prisoner: well the drug lord knows well if he's caught the judge is going to have him shot on sight

but it's pointless to say that was anything but a video attempting to prove a hit job had been done

I'M THINKING OF OPENING A FIVE GUYS RESTAURANT in a prison - visiting families will surely pay $100 per person for a homey meal at a prison, and who cares if they can afford it ??
