Speak German or another language when answering as telemarketer will unlikely have anyone in their call center supporting that language. Definitely not Spanish.
If a known spammer, have ready a loud whistle or extreme high decibel device ready causing damage to Mr. or Mrs. telemarketer's ear drums. Have a pair of ear plugs ready for yourself.
800notes.com is a great website to check for known telemarketers and scammers. Just enter the 10-digit number to check.

You should let numbers go unanswered, then look them up in 800 number website. That way they will eventually think your phone number is non-assigned.
Several organizations to which many belong or receive services boost their income by selling your data to data brokers, who then resell these lists to anyone with a few hundred $ to pay for it. Verizon is one of the worst, and I suspect AT&T might be doing it also. When I once had Verizon service the scam calls arrived nonstop, I dumped Verizon eventually when I was able to trace a few of the calls to orgs they used as contractors to try and hook people into subscribing at a lower price 1st year.
The other one is the retiree organization AARP, every scam in the book, mail and phone was filling my mailboxes when I was a member of that organization. Then your mail gets stuffed with useless trash every day, and the medical plans they push are way more expensive than if you go and research plans yourself and choose the cheaper ones--Medicare rules say all care has to meet the same requirements. You pay a premium which is a kickback that AARP gets from its "favored plans" for everything they try to sell you.
The other way to get rid of most of the mail box trash and phone scams is get your info off the public internet data collection sites.

There are a lot of scams these days like personal data and ID misuse or driver's license fraud, and so many others. I didn't tell them anything but it started to piss me off. It's worse than a debt collection company and much more stubborn. I wonder how many people have fallen into their net, and disclosed their personal data. I have a special bullhorn and a really loud locomotive train horn next to the phone. Whenever I see one of these unknown calls coming in I grab a horn, pick up the phone, and let'em have both barrels! Fun thing is, I never get a call-back...

OMG! Last week I was getting like 100 scam calls every day! I was so annoyed! And I think this number called me as well, so don't pick up! I blocked numbers one by one. And then, guess what? I freaking lost my phone in my 15m2 room! OMG! I was so pissed! I literally couldn't find it anywhere! I then decided to call my phone by using an online service, and luckily I found it in my pocket. Honestly, guys, I hope none of you will ever go through this! You'll have to meditate for like two hours straight to chill down.

Hi all. I have been tormented by calls from unknown numbers for a long time, as in most cases, they turned out to be scammers. These calls distracted me from work, and my friend advised me to usechalkboard. I can get a second number and see all the phone numbers that call me and many different functions. It made my life very easy, and I was satisfied with this service. Good luck to everyone.

I also ran into this problem because I often received spam messages that I was interested in reading. I changed my SIM card several times, but eventually, the pain returned.
