High's dairy store needed in Fairfax.

So I had to go to Westminster Md last week on a business trip. I found out that they have Highs Dairy stores all over the place in that area. They sell ice cream and other stuff that is great! We desperately need some High's here in Fairfax. We used to have a bunch of them but they all closed.

They aren't around for the same reason that Hechinger, Zayre, K-Mart, Bradlees, Bell, and so many others are gone: they sucked. Capitalism works as nature intended. The fit survive, the others die off.

That is a good guess but it is completely wrong. Highs is doing quite well, they simply choose not to service this market.

I loved their butter brickle ice cream back in the day.

Will remember to look for them when I'm in that area.

Thanks for the heads up.

Do they still sell Chilly Willys? That and the 1¢ bubble gum were the best things about Highs when I was growing up.

Highs had the coldest beer, and they had those BBQ sandwiches made by those little old ladies in the light blue smocks.

Not well enough to compete in the DC area. Wawa and Sheetz are everywhere in the region. High’s can fuck off.

BTW, who the fuck goes on a “business trip” to Westminster who lives in the DC area? You have to be an HVAC guy.

Yes, and the stores always smelled funny. They always had a big jar of reddish boiled eggs in fluid. I wonder who the fuck ate those things?

Big John's Pickled Eggs - 1/2 Gallon Jar
Big John’s pickled eggs are a perfect snack food for all day parts and offer customers a great-tasting source of protein. Whether sold in jars or Red Smith’s unique double-egg convenience packs, Big John’s pickled eggs are completely shelf-stable and never need refrigeration. Their great straight from the jar or packed in lunches or picnics with our convenient single serve package.

Sitting on your fat lazy ass expecting someone else to open the store you want? Typical. You must be a snowflake socialist democrat loser.
