Teens in MS-13 Arrested After 14-Year-Old Girl's Body Found in Maryland Creek: Police
Three teenagers were arrested, two of whom are suspected MS-13 gang members, after police discovered a 14-year-old girl's body in Prince George's County, Maryland.
Police found the body of Ariana Funes-Diaz, of Adelphi, on Wednesday morning in a creek in the 6300 block of 64th Avenue in Riverdale after receiving a tip.
Josue Fuentes-Ponce, 16, Joel Escobar, 17, and Cynthia Hernandez-Nucamendi, 14, are suspected of killing Funes-Diaz in a wooded area behind an apartment complex on 64th Avenue on April 18, Prince George's County police said in a news conference Thursday.
The trio was fearful that Funes-Diaz would go to the police about a robbery all four of them allegedly committed in D.C. on April 17, Maj. Brian Riley with Prince George's County Police Department said.
Funes-Diaz and Hernandez-Nucamendi were reported missing in April and police said they ran away from Anne Arundel County.
