What was in the Fairfax Plaza shopping center before cube smart and unique?

So this plaza in Merrifield is a dump and apparently is slated for redevelopment. Does anyone know what kind of stores were there before it all turned to shit with Unique? Figure there must have been the usual grocery store and discount store, but the cube smart building looks purpose built so another structure must have been there.

The building where Cube Smart is was a Levitz Furniture store. Awesome place to get furniture back in the day. The left part of the building was a showroom and the rest of building was a huge warehouse with shelving at least five levels high. You would walk through the showroom, pick what you wanted, pay for it, then go out into the warehouse and watch the guys use motorized lifts to go around and pull your furniture. They would then drive the lift up to the bay door and put the stuff in the back of your car/truck. It was the last reasonably priced furniture store in Fairfax. It was years after they closed that places like Ikea and Bob's opened.

A Best Products was originally at where Golds Gym is now. The Sound Gallery stereo store was at the same spot where the Five Guys was located. A Hardees restaurant was located in front of the Levitz.

Part of the complex experienced damaged by the same tornado that damaged WT Woodson HS back in the '70s.

There’s still a pad site for some sort of small drive through structure near the entrance next to Luther Jackson. Was that a fotomat?

Hardees originally I think, then later a Boston Market.

It would be awesome if there was a website where you can look at the history of former shopping center tenants.
