You are such a fucking idiot. The musket was designed for combat and self defense. Would you like to use a musket for self defense? Hell when Indians roamed North America they used bow and arrows. How about you hang a bow and arrow above your bed and use that for self defense. Why would you want to use antiquated instruments when there are much better options today thanks to technology aka 9mm and 12 gauge buckshot. 22. LR is not "fine" for self defense. What if the robber or mass shooter is wearing body armor as has been documented? People on here are such fucking idiots and have zero knowledge about guns or ammunition. Just like our ccongress

your body armor quip is hilarious my dude. 9mm wont penetrate modern vests and a shotgun with buck will need to be closer than youre gonna get to an active shooter. you may as well stick with the .22 so you can poke out both eyes double tap instead of grazing him in panic mode with the too-lightweight polymer 9mm or .40 kicking like one of goatfuckerer2's unfortunate victims. fortunately for me I know that the supply of whackjob mass shooters is massively hyped by the media so I dont walk around clutching my pearls. As for robbery, Im not a bank manager in north hollywood or a drug dealer so Im not really expecting any such determined force. in reality people with body armor and rifle are pretty tough to stop by any means which is perfect for the cowards. Its sad because any dick can kick and spray. the old method of whacking a single, deserving, influential person or politician off at 750 yards to promote a cause seems downright civil these days. in any event if there's a mass shooting Im running CCW or not. Ill let the cops with their fancy dancy body armor deal with that bull

Actually, this is the last thing you want. Before that scumbag realizes why his new roommate thinks he looks better with no teeth, he gets to tell the story of how he accidentally knocked on your door while collecting for UNICEF and you invited him in then shot him for no reason. If shit for brains is dead, there will only be one story of what happened - yours.

just as nonfatal shootings by criminals are more common than homicides, justifed shootings are more commonly nonfatal. the news media doesnt like to cover self defense much but far too many home invaders and rapists survive imo. these woundings can be attributed to poor shooting on the part of the defender rather than the caliber of the weapon

Between 1982-93, more police officers lost their lives to .22 (9.8% between rifles and handguns) than 9mm (9.5%). .22lr is not a toy at all

The stats are long ago, the 9 mm and 40 SW became mainstream after 1993 with citizens and police. Also police started using handgun retention hosters after 93 instead of simple thumbsnap holsters

My NAA Ranger break top .22lr is more than plenty for suburbia, when I travel to inner cities, war zones and Mexico, my FN 5.7 COMBAT handgun comes with me, as opposed to my SELF DEFENSE handgun. .22 short was the first ever personal defense metallic cartridge, designed for the civil war. Larger calibers were designed for several hundred yard battlefield shots in the Henry rifle and army revolvers. Within 25 yds or so even my mini revolver is sufficient and if I were to shoot any further, self defense as a legal defense would be rather difficult. Big calibers are for COMBAT and while the pigs have illegally militarized themselves, I am just a regular Joe who doesn't want to be carjacked or jugged at the ATM. You can be a tacticool fag if you want I suppose

PS your plastic junk auto loader will never be as reliable as the time tested NAA! Your polymer crap will jam and crack decades before mine. All those cops killed with .38s had wise assaliants who knew better than to spew evidence all over the scene, unlike today's savages

What's the second most popular rifle model in America and what's the most popular model of all

Answer The Ruger 10-22 because of all the customizing you can do with it in 2nd place ,the AR platform rifles are Americas most #1 most popular for the same reason both have light recoil in .556mm NATO that ladies and small folk can shoot well for home business and personal defense protected under the 2nd amendment of the US Constitution

The .22LR is Americas most popular pistol and rifle overall counting all models

Hey Midgets I love you ! Your good luck all right! Hell If I see ya at Kilroys some time Ill buy you that beer , If ya steal mine Ill just laugh my ass off and watch you try to kick start my Harley 74 and make a tire burning bobber getaway front wheel to the sky straight pipes blasting my ears (for safety natch) ! , hell if ya can start it you can have it!.

DAJAX … OK I take that "have it" part back! Never underestimate a Midget or a woman or smaller guy , you may get your ass in deep shit if you do
