Am I a bad person for not reacting?

Today my friend and I were standing outside out my house near his car. It was parked on the side street. He was on the floor on the street side, checking out a scratch on the car. Suddenly I noticed a car speeding towards us. My friend still on the ground didn’t notice the car. As the car came closer it kept leaning closer in towards my friend. Instead of pulling him out of harms way, I just kept watching until The end. I yelled look out. The car just in time moved back over. I feel like a bad friend for not pullig him in. I keep thinking about why I didn’t pull him in to begin with.

I had a similar experience once, it’s tough to describe if you’re not there.

I was in 11th grade and there was a Chinese-American kid in my class. He would have the same lunch every day, and it always smelled disgusting. It was one of those Kraft macaroni and cheese microwaveable pots. Anyway, one day while he was eating his lunch I sat and talked to him. Turned out he was a nice guy, so the next day I put pee pee in his Coke.

Don't feel bad: It's a common psychological phenomenon. You're brain was "stunned" (again, very common) processing what was happening. You (i.e., Humans) couldn't help it.
