Should the Rodeway Inn hotel at 9700 Fairfax Boulevard become a Wawa Gas (12 pumps) & Grocery Store (6049 SF)?


Big decision to be made today by the Planning Commission of the City of Fairfax.

Just like taxi medallions in NYC worth nothing, these independent gas stations are going bye bye bc of Wawa.

Why do I GOTO WAWA?
It’s a company that wants customers!
Clean, fresh food, no smelly turbanite behind register. Good prices.



The Wawa(no gas just store), I goto inside dc has shut down many small, dirty bodegas in the area.

I’m 100% for the “wegmans of gas stations” to be built.

Or else nothing but dirt on the site should be allowed if Fairfax will not allow a indoor shooting range and custom gun shop with mini gun shows suppressing the right to keep and bear arms . Free Hot Dogs provided every Sat, Bar in the rear , after Dems get it thur Weed lounge too

After 3 hours and a packed room and lots of NIMBY statements at the 12/10 Fairfax city council session.... the Vote on Wawa was deferred to 1/14/20.

I never understood the Wawa jihadists. Then...I stopped there once and became radicalized myself.

It's a subtle-not-so-subtle thing, really. Stopping late at night for gas and you go inside to go to the bathroom, maybe grab a nosh...and the difference between a gas station not renovated since the 70's and a basic Wawa is just unreal. Well lit store, shelves fully stocked with nice, fresh items. Nice assortment of hot foods. It's not gourmet of course but, yes...the "Wegman's of Gas Stations" is so true.

Don’t get the made2order sandwiches.
Ever since 2015, the sandwich making has gone to shit.

Get the ones near the registers that are pre-made.
Any of them are good.
Sometimes 2 for $4 !

Tip: see what 600lbs people are buying and do the same.
Morbidly obese don’t wait for “sandwiches” to be “custom made.”
