Well, actual hometown baseball may be over for a while now, but all is not lost, as there are still teams left to root against. And also wonderful leftovers from Pazzo waiting in the fridge. Yay for that! Our wheelchair-pusher pals will be off now to work the suites at Capital One, where they will hopefully be treated very well. Ballpark pals meanwhile will no doubt get something put together soon to expand upon our own recent suite with Lady-A concert experience. It’s a nice thing up there, but definitely overpriced. Another season bites the dust. There were some bright spots. For me, I was simply glad for the baseball. It does look like the pitching staff will get better. The bats need some work, especially on consistency.

To-day's bottom of the ninth demonstrates this. The bottom of the order loads the bases and no one is out. The first two in the top of the order strike out. Garcia, Jr. on three straight pitches. He was swinging for the fences when a base knock to keep the line moving would have done.

You see the errors that you would expect in the minor leagues. Hopefully experience will cure those.

One of the defensive highlights of the game was Turner's getting caught stealing. That does not happen often.

Girlfriend and I will be back next year.

The ups and downs of sports teams is the least of my concerns. After all is said and done, my primary interest is laundry. I wish to ensure the cleanest jock straps.
