In other news, arbitration hearings are proceeding sporadically, but only a few insignificant results have been announced. Having signed Victor Robles, the Nats are just attentive observers now. BRizzl et Al. Will hope to snap up a bargain or two as other clubs trim down, so we’ll see what they can come up with.

Always likely to come up empty-handed of course is the horrible hamlet of Falls Church City. Last on all sorts of lists. The Little City is pretty much just a Long Lost Cause at this point. Partisans have put a lot of eggs in bottomless baskets, so the future doesn’t really look any brighter than the present or the past. Kind of a bleak scene.

Dope should have known when to quit, and that it was long ago. Meanwhile, the Sweet Spot has already seen its high temp for the day, and it was down to 53 degrees by the time that I got up. There’s a scattering of puffy white clouds across an otherwise bright blue sky, with bits of NW wind chugging along from time to time at about 10 mph. We should see the upper 50s again this afternoon, but then drop back into the 40s overnight. Meanwhile, five bags full of groceries did indeed appear on our front porch as scheduled yesterday afternoon, but sadly no shrimp. Shrimp sushi was substituted instead, and it's quite good. Home delivery can be a bit like a box of chocolates, but it’s super convenient and kind of fun.
