It was 43 degrees when I got up, but we're going to get very close to 60 later on. Light winds from the NW and no chance of rain, so we should be in very good shape weather-wise today.

Real President Joe is also in very good shape after quite the successful SOU address last night in which he kept his word by shunning silly games from the podium while masterfully provoking exactly such from the GOP rubes in his audience. It was a tour de force by a guy the right-wing wants to call out on his age. Ha! Sarah Sanders is half as old as Biden, but twice as frail.

In other news, arbitration hearings are proceeding sporadically, but only a few insignificant results have been announced. Having signed Victor Robles, the Nats are just attentive observers now. BRizzl et Al. Will hope to snap up a bargain or two as other clubs trim down, so we’ll see what they can come up with.

Always likely to come up empty-handed of course is the horrible hamlet of Falls Church City. Last on all sorts of lists. The Little City is pretty much just a Long Lost Cause at this point. Partisans have put a lot of eggs in bottomless baskets, so the future doesn’t really look any brighter than the present or the past. Kind of a bleak scene.
