Well, it’s a chilly 36 degrees out here in the Sweet Spot this morning and we have 10 mph NW winds to deal with as well. Blue skies and bright sunshine though, so the views out our windows across the marvelously maintained lawns and gardens are indeed quite impressive. We like it here better than where we used to live in McLean and before that in Falls Church City. The SEDC townhouse was very nice for 14 years too of course, but we eventually lost half the partners there. Just as we so sadly lost yesterday the wonderful Christine McVie. She lives on of course in all those car commercials.

The courts have unwisely put a hold on student loan forgiveness, but in a far wiser move, they have sent the Mara Lago Special Master packing. In other news, Nats stopgap 3B Mailel Franco has signed with NPB’s Ramuten Golden Eagles. He’s still just 30, but likely washed up and done now anyway. Kind of like poor Linus at age 43.

Washed up is of course a perfect fit for all of fitful Falls Church City. To make matters worse, FCVFR has announced that they will once again frighten children and annoy adults by driving a fire truck through city neighborhoods with lights and sirens at full bore. Hohoho.

The Forest Inn was… interesting. Years ago, they’d even open early to serve ‘breakfast’ to their hungover customers. Nearby Cowboy Cafe was/is a better option for food and libations. Love Ayer’s!! Great local business that stocks a little everything.

Your description of the ‘parking lot’ at The Forest Inn is only a large pile of proof that you in fact never either walked or drove there. Thus the need to deflect to an irrelevant nearby hardware store. You are a fraud of course, but not a very good one.

By the way, the wife was off to a family charity event last night and was good enough to bring me The Monster from Subway on the way home. Sort of like a steak and cheese with a lot of bacon crumbles added. It was just okay, where you, of course, are just not.
