He's had both ups and downs, but has certainly been no worse than serviceable so far.

Falling far short of serviceable of course has been the sorry ass settlement of Falls Church City. 9/Well, while the Whiffies can only whine and wail, we far more fortunate folks out here in the fabulous Sweet Spot seem headed into yet another fine spring day. We had half an inch of rain overnight, and we do still have some morning sprinkles to work our way through. We could also see some scattered thunder storms this afternoon, but from a mostly cloudy start and 64 degrees, we should see a good deal of sun and continued light breezes over most of the rest of the day with a high of 72. Not hard to take. The humidity is still a little bit higher than would be best, but the trip out and back to grab up the morning paper was still a pleasant one. No wildlife spotted yet today, although there soes seem to be more chipmunks out there than usual.

Meanwhile Real President Joe gets to laugh right along with the rest of us as the Facebook Advisory Board has voted to allow continuation of the ban on a certain well-known lying autocrat wannabe for another six months. Gee, I'm sure we'll all miss him greatly. He has of course claimed to have founded a new social media 'platform', but that turns out to be pretty much just a blog. Actual JP Morgenthau can make that sort of claim. LOL!

In other news, The Braves decided to give the start to young RHP Huascar Ynoa (22) last night. He threw very well against us in one previous start back in April, and not only did he do that again, but he also slugged a grand slam homer off Tanner Rainey that put a lid on a 6-1 ATL victory. We just don't have an answer for that guy! We do have Juan Soto and Will Harris back off the DL though. Had to DFA Hernan Perez to do it, but he should find a soft landing place. It's likely that neither Soto nor Harris will be thrown right back into the fire, but it's still good to have the both of them back. It will meanwhile be Erick Fedde against Max Fried at Nats Park this evening, with the Braves looking to keep their hopes for a series sweep alive.

No hopes remain alive of course for good things of any sort in the badly broken burg of Falls Church City. There's a new steeple being put on the Columbia Baptist Church, but much more interesting perhaps is that among those so far voting in an FCNP on-line poll, a near majority does not like either of the City's new school names. Just another swing-and-a-miss for the Little City it looks like.
