YOU were the dope concerned with traffic and parking. YOU mentioned that topic FIRST. I merely told you how to avoid both.

Now, back to your lie...

Really 'eats' at him when his betters make him look like the nothing little nobody that he is. So he has to make up lunch menus.

Odd for a place like that huh?

You know how very careful you need to be with the delicate flesh of branzino!

Everyone who eats at Subway knows that microwaved on a paper plate is best!

Let's not forget that the only way to "properly" prepare calamari is to dredge it in flour/bread crumbs and deep fry it. The Restaurant Week Rube is nothing but a lying fraud.

But remember, we're all butthurt over his food-stamp five-dollar footlong.

Well, those weak-minded Whiffies still stumble and stagger away their foolish hours upon the stage, misguided as ever by their general incompetence and many specific incapacities to embarrassingly foolish misunderstandings and the saying of many just plain silly things. This is all and everything that they are actually able to do or accomplish, hence they remain as just collections of simply awful dopes in a dump. Meanwhile, those among us whose far greater rewards in life include deluxe accommodations out here in the fabulous Sweet Spot are able to carry on at much higher levels. For starters, we have been enjoying quite the lovely autumn morn today, beginning from 51 degrees, but now almost all the way up into the upper 60's. There is a touch of wind out of the south, but it was a soft and quite welcome thing, at least as of my recent trip out and back to collect the morning paper. The humidity has fallen below 50%, so this is indeed an all-nice-all-the-time sort of situation that we are dealing with here, and it looks like it might well continue on for days.

One improvement that we would of course welcome would be the final falling of the axe onto the neck of President Ding Dong. Go, Arizona and Nevada! Typically, of course, the Fat Boy boob had exhibited only the worst sorts of childish America-hating behaviors as his final hours seem to tick down, and there is no reason to expect any sort of improvement moving forward from here. Once a final call for Biden actually comes, he will all but certainly simply spiral off into one long self-serving tantrum of spite and hatred. That's what's at his core after all. Daddy never loved him, and neither does anyone else.

In other news, Seibu got off to quite the strong start last night, as one-time SD Padré Cory Spangenberg ripped an RBI single and a 3-run homer over the first two innings to help build an 8-0 lead over Nippon Ham. The Lions roared from there to a 10-3 victory, and with the Marines' 2-0 loss to the Hawks, they have a one-game lead with three to play. All of those games will be on the road though and against different teams, so there is plenty of work yet to be done.

No amount of work of course is going to make any sort of difference in the state of sorry old Falls Church City. Filled with so many crumbs from the tables of the completely clueless class, it's just not a place where things are ever likely to come together in a positive way. Might see and smell a few more bulldozers going forward, but that's probably going to be it.

Of course it is. Which is why even industry professionals (which you are so very far from being) routinely admire and patronize the world's largest restaurant operation. We competent folks do seem to differ on what our favorite order is, but the excellence of the place is not much contradicted save by the dumbest of the dumb. That's where you come in.

Same stupid-shit reception that facts in general receive in your dumb-fuck neck of the woods. If you like, order all you want from Jersey Mike's. On the day you do though, Subway will be serving almost 8 million sandwiches to people much smarter than you, many of whom will be actual big-bucks hospitality industry professionals.

Michael’s has been rated the #1 Italian restaurant in Long Beach and the #2 Italian restaurant in all of Los Angeles.

The Branzino, a Mediterranean sea bass, is just one of many fabulous dishes, and happens to be our absolute favorite.

Putting such fish as branzino on a grill is a little like driving drunk. You might be able to avoid the worst, but it’s a bad idea that should simply be shunned. Like driving on the right, a nice sauté pan or baking dish would be the proper way to go.

Neighborhood yard crews just spooked four deer into making for the woods by dashing across the property. Autumn is in the air.

You're a fucking idiot and you don't know WTF you're talking about.

Obviously.

As the 'properly grilled' preparation chosen by many top chefs clearly demonstrates.

LOL! You've either never been there or continue to lie about what you saw. Then again, you were completely clueless about exit 6, the 12+ foot walls at the west edge of Spirit of Justice Park and the slip lane north of the tracks from S. Capitol St. to Washington Ave., the three large asphalt parking lots lining Washington Ave., etc., etc., etc. The whole trip down Washington Avenue has been one big fail after another for you.

All credible available evidence, including that which a court would find to be best evidence via judicial notice, indicates you are nothing more than a lying fraud. Nothing you say can dispute that.

Speaking of your lies....

Yes, it does. And, it is just more evidence that the lying shit-shack shut-in knows absolutely nothing when it comes to food preparation or ordering.

You are the only one so butthurt that you need to lie all the time to cover for your blunders.

Damn, you lie so much you don't even know what a lie is. A lie is an untrue statement with intent to deceive. I had no intent to deceive when I made the post. If you happened to click on it, the top line read: "Abby Narishkin and Steve Cameron Oct 26, 2020, 4:30 PM"

I presumed that to be the original publication date.

At the very bottom, it read: "EDITOR'S NOTE: This video was originally published in August 2019."

I had not seen that when I first posted it.

Had I intended to deceive anyone, I wouldn't have corrected my own error. Unlike you, I can admit my errors. You are a sad little man who tries to cover up his errors with lies.

Don't believe me? Try telling the truth about this...

Missing that emotional connection

This one's best illustrated by an example, so we'll use McDonald's. Do you have any emotional connection to McDonald's, probably one that goes back to childhood? Do you think of playing in the PlayPlace with your friends, of going there for birthday parties, of hoping for a certain toy in a Happy Meal, of begging your parents to stop for McNuggets on the way home? Of course you do, and that's because McDonald's made a huge effort to connect with kids on an emotional level, so they would have adult customers. Forbes says it's one of the most important lessons anyone can learn from McD's.

Now, do you have the same kind of connection with Subway? Of course not.

According to AdAge, an emotional connection with customers is what Subway has always been missing. It wasn't until 2018 that Chief Advertising Officer Chris Carroll decided that maybe it was time to try to reach customers on that emotional level, and they were going to be doing it with their "Make It What You Want" campaign. It took them a long time to catch on to what chains like McDonald's and Burger King had always known, and it may be too little, too late.

Business Insider was reporting that not only did Subway have more locations than McDonald's, but they were hoping to take their 44,000 stores (and that's globally), and raise that number to 100,000. That's insane, and it turns out there's a reason McDonald's hasn't beaten them to it: Having that many locations can cripple a company, especially the way Subway was going about it. Darren Tristano of Technomic told The Washington Post, "More people have money to spend, and they're choosing to spend a little bit more on better concepts where they get a better product. ... Subway's strategy has only been to open more stores, and ultimately those stores just cannibalize each other."

What a great company! LOL!

Subway Got Too Big. Franchisees Paid a Price.

Sabotaged meatballs. The wrong soap. Franchisees say supervisors manipulated inspections — then took their stores. A company ‘hit man’ says it’s true.

...The document would be difficult for anyone to process. But Alexander Dembski, who trained many new Subway owners over a 34-year career, estimated to Fortune in 1998 that 30 to 50 percent of the chain’s franchisees were immigrants, and that more than a third of applicants scored poorly on proficiency tests in math and English.

Business Insider says that not recognizing the fact that tastes are evolving has been one of Subway's biggest problems. It's more than just tastes that are changing, too. It's the nation's perception of exactly what words like "fresh" and "healthy" mean. When Subway first debuted some of these sandwiches, they were healthier than the competition. But now, customers look at many of the sauces and lunch meats, and they're less impressive now that we know more about how bad these heavily processed meats are.

Eat not-so-fresh should be the slogan

Subway built their brand on the idea of eating fresh, so if you've been to almost any location in recent years, you may have been surprised to find your sub toppings looking a little less than crispy, crunchy, and brightly-colored. According to Business Insider, it's not your imagination — and there's a business-breaking reason for that.

They spoke to a number of Subway franchisees and managers, and found most locations only get shipments of vegetables and produce once a week. Some busy locations get fresh produce in twice a week. While Subway stated they worked with around 100 suppliers and family farms to make sure all their locations had the freshest produce available, those on the front lines had other things to say. One Pennsylvania employee said, "A lot of the lettuce we receive is often near-expiry and is already turning brown even though the bags are vacuum sealed. The same goes for tomatoes. Often they are delivered and within a week are mushy and rotting."

Is it any wonder people might not go back after getting a sub described like that?

An Irish court has ruled that Subway sandwiches are not technically made with bread

The Irish courts have ruled that Subway sandwiches cannot be called ‘bread’ over an issue which involves a lot of money for one Subway franchisee.

A Subway franchisee called Bookfinders Ltd had tried to argue that it shouldn’t have to pay VAT because it sells “staple” products, which have a 0% VAT rate in Ireland.

But according to thejournal.ie, the Irish Supreme Court ruled that Subway ‘bread’ contains too much sugar to technically be called bread.

According to Irish law, for bread to be a “staple product” and not therefore pay VAT, the sugar content “shall not exceed 2% of the weight of flour included in the dough”. Subway’s bread has a 10% ratio.

Bookfinders Ltd had submitted a claim to the taxman in December 2006 where the company argued for a refund for VAT payments made over 2004 and 2005. They had paid a rate of 9.2% VAT and argued that the VAT rate should have been 0%.

Take your meds. It was an ordinary conversation, one among many, revealing that each of us has a favorite Subway sandwich of our own. Why that would put such a burr up your butt is not entirely clear, unless it’s all just an extension of your basic background ignorance, envy, and butthurt.

No burr, just common sense to know enough that people with means and taste would never purposely choose Subway over a host of other sandwich options let alone discuss it over dinner. Simply put, your claims are asinine. Nobody envies a food-stamp five-dollar footlong. Nobody.

Grilled branzino> with Antica Terra 2014 Chardonnay Aurata

The branzino in Carbone’s feast is a study in restraint and the simplicity of good Italian cuisine. “I want my main course with very little fuss,” Carbone says. “Take a whole beautiful branzino, grill it on the skin, covered in fresh oregano and olive oil, lemon squeezed all over it. That’s just good cooking—not trying to do too much with beautiful ingredients.”

Upon opening, Carbone received a dazzling five out of five stars from Time Out New York, four and a half stars from Bloomberg three stars from The New York Times, and has received one Michelin star every year since 2014. Since then, they have opened outposts of Carbone in Hong Kong and in Las Vegas.

You think anyone buys your bullshit about how branzino is "foolishly" prepared vs some of the top chefs and restaurants in the country? lol!

Dave Pasternack's Recipe for Whole Black Sea Bass [close enough lol] With Lemon-Coriander Corn

The chef of Manhattan's Esca and Barchetta shares his recipe for grilled whole black sea bass and a charred corn salad tossed with butter, lemon and coriander—summer dining at its simplest and most satisfying...

In this recipe, Mr. Pasternack's third Slow Food Fast contribution, he calls for grilling black sea bass stuffed with lemon, parsley and garlic. Cooking the fish whole protects its [oh so delicate] flesh from drying out over the coals.

Before you start cooking, make sure the grill is clean and your fish gets a good coating of oil. Hold off on flipping until the skin releases easily from the grate; otherwise it will tear and juices will escape. Mr. Pasternack further suggests tempering the fish—that is, allowing it to come to room temperature—before cooking.

Not if they are trying to cook delicate fish on an actual grill. And of course (and as none of you know), there is much more to running a restaurant than cooking fish. You'd want to arrange for instance with a top-notch purveyor (such as JJ McDonnell in this area) for delivery of fresh seafood each Sunday and holiday morning, just as many finer restaurants in this area have done.

In addition to Dave's trainwreck adventure at Barchetta, surveysin New York Magazine showed that about half of diners at Esca said they would not return. Maybe you could still find Esca on this map? Or maybe just admit that you never ate there either?

Well, the Whiffies had about as good a night as Donald Trump, as their hopes of boosting the butchery of perfectly good fish led them straight down a long known rat-hole of shame and disgrace. There's no google-map sirections for getting out of that mess. Meanwhile, those of us out here in wealthy retiree territory are ready to welcome in the decisive electoral calls on a typically bright and beautiful Sweet Spot morning. From a start at 48 degrees, we'll be soaring up to, but probably not past, the 70 degree mark, with nothing but solid all-day sunshine, light breezes, and very reasonable humidity. Not bad for November.

It was of course all very, very bad for all-time loser President Ding Dong last night, as first Georgia and then Pennsylvania were brutally stolen from him by conniving Democrats who chose under their own state laws to vote by mail in the midst of a pandemic. Take them to court! The Prez of course did just that, boasting of a huge win when courts allowed poll watchers to stand six feet away from ballot counters rather than ten. Yeah, that'll matter.

95756666_137753141178150_286482721317217

In other news, Seibu lost to Rakuten by a 4-2 score last night, thus falling back into a tie for second place with Chiba Lotte. The Pacific League regular season ends Monday, so lots of drama (and odd off-days) will be packed into play until then.

Off-days are of course quite the norm in ever-faltering Falls Church City. With bunches of out-classed low-lifes wandering the streets and clogging up internet boards with their ceaseless nonsense, the place is just a hotbed of ignorance, envy, and butthurt -- a case study for what can happen when unintelligent, uneducated, and emotionally unstable sorts are left to their own dismal devices. It's a sorry sight, but an all too familiar one.

Nobody gives a fuck about any of your tangential nonsense.

This is just slapping you around to show that, yet again as always, you don't know WTF you're talking about as far as cooking or eating.

Oh, and to make your little empty head explode because I know it pisses you off that I was commuting to NYC and eating at places like Esca while you were in a brown poly suit hanging from a Metro bus pole with half of a leftover Subway Italian in your briefcase.

But we don't need to do that kind of stupid shit.

We take his legs out by staying directly on subject.

Which, since he can't respond, makes him resort to his typical stupid shit and look like the old fool that he is.

You are a fraud and serial liar who has never eaten a single bite at Fiola Mare. It was further you who raised the notion of Georgetown traffic, parking, and potential DUI problems by foolishly choosing to drive there rather than use available public transit. You were unable to post any actually material info on your alleged meal, instead focusing on driving and parking matters. And of course, you are yet to properly understand what google-directions are. Lunch today BTW was baby pork medallions with prosciutto di Parma and fresh sage, served on a bed of spinach in a lemony garlic sauce. Salad and bread were included. Certainly not Fiola Mare, but satisfying and delicious nonetheless.

LOL! Public transit to Georgetown is both foolish and an unnecessary waste of time. DUI problems are easily avoided by knowing when to say when. Let's not forget, you drive plenty after imbibing.

7-ounce portions of Filet Mignon, a Ribeye Cap,

that served with endless boats of Sauce

I Sodi is a neighborhood institution and it's largely low on tourists—a blessing for the Village. The pasta is to-die-for good, but the artichoke lasagna, with its bazillion layers, is what dominates Instagram. Don’t skip the pappardelle al limone, the whole grilled branzino, or the extremely civilized antipasti platter though. Rita Sodi's Tuscan cooking has breadth and depth at once.
