Well, the Whiffies may be a complete failure, but things out here in the scintillating Sweet Spot continue to sparkle on as always. We did have a bit more than half an inch of rain last night, and it's still mostly cloudy and humid out there, but things should improve steadily throughout the day, as the thermometer climbs from a current 61 degrees to a high in the low 70's later on. Clear skies may have to wait until this evening, but we shouldn't have any more worries about rain along the way. No wildlife sightings while picking up the morning paper a while ago, but they should be along as usual by late afternoon. They've been very active at those hours over the past several days.

Quite inactive by contrast has been the brain of the pathetic President Ding Dong, as it tried to cope once again with the scandal of his prolonged affair with former Playboy model Karen McDougal. Ostensibly, FOX News won a victory when McDougal's defamation suit against Tucker Carlson was dismissed in District Court on Thursday, but they probably weren't all that pleased with the judge's reasoning. She stated flat out that no serious person actually believes anything that Carlson says on the air. Plainly, Donald Trump does, as he walked the Tucker line in a tweet just last night about how Dems rigging 'our' 2020 election. Such a couple of contemptible gasbag losers.

In other news, the rains washed out last night's Nats-Mets game, so they will play one more doubleheader this afternoon. Max Scherzer should simply slide in as the Game-1 starter for the home side, but the Mets are still deciding on that. Anibal Sanchez will step up to handle Game-2, but the Mets are not certain about that one yet either. So entirely appropriate that the debacle of the phony-ball season should end in chaos and uncertainty. Had a chance to catch the NPB game last night (Hawks and Marines). It was almost like real baseball, with fans in the stands and everything.

Fans are of course not something one would expect with regard to sorry old Falls Church City in any case. The place is just one big ball of confusion, as misguided and poorly educated nitwits are free to roam loose in the streets. Some of them die in the streets as as well, but there's been no further news about who the most recent expirees might have been.

LOL! Look how small that tree is. It's not even as tall as the lamp post, yet he expects everyone to believe that in less than a year's time this tree grew so much that it blocked views of the glass and granite walls! Lies. All lies. That's all he can do.

Your alleged frequency comes nowhere near the number of times I've been in that area. Not only have I been there more frequent than you, I've been there more recent than you. A few more trips are likely to be added before the end of the month. It is for this very reason I can immediately spot your lies.

The posted picture was taken less than a year before your bogus claims about the glass and granite walls being obscured by all this foliage. Not only do your claims fail to comport with reality on the ground, they fail to comport with the laws of nature.

You lied. You failed. Again.

Now, which one of these townhouses is painted in a questionable array of colors?

Well, the Whiffies struggle as ever with their inferior places in the world. No less unintelligent, uneducated, and emotionally unstable than they've always been, these odd birds can only chirp on in their instinctive but hollow way as the real world quite passes them by in its complexity. Thus are they left alone with the faked and phony views of reality that they somehow find personally meaningful. Any port in a storm or a home, I guess the saying is.

Meanwhile, it's another splendid morning out here in the Sweet Spot where both IQ's and bank balances tend to run so much higher. It was a cool and dry 64 degrees out there when I got up. The rain gauge took no note, but there were indeed a few sprinkles in the overnight, enough to have wet down the patios and pushed the humidity up to levels above 90%. With the sun managing to peep through here and there, it's mostly cloudy out there at the moment and things are expected to stay that way as we move toward eventual highs in the mid-70's with soft breezes but barely even the off chance of any actual rain. Should be just another great day for all of us out this way. Finished of Tuesday's leftovers yesterday (nice chunky seafood sampler with fettucine), so that's out for today. We'll have to see what else we can do.

We all know already what we can do about this awful President Ding Dong -- vote the dope out of office, thus allowing the military to kick his butt to the curb, and the courts to being long overdue charges against the clown and his brutish besties. The entire American Experiment could well fail if removal does not now take place.

In other news, the Nats fell below a couple of other clubs in the 2021 draft order by taking two from the Mets yesterday, 4-3 in the first game, and 5-3 in the nightcap. Max Scherzer was still the pitcher of record when the winning run scored in Game-1, so hed ends the silly season at five W's and four L's, his eleventh straight winning record. The deciding tun came on an inside-the=park home run by Andrew Stevenson when LF Dominic Smith could not get up following a collision with the outfield wall. Improving Will Harris then came on in the 7th, and was able to lock things down. In Game-2, the Nats used some singles and some sloppy Mets fielding to assemble a 5-run third inning, and Anibal Sanchez (backed by Suero and Hudson) was able to hold the New Yonkers at bay. So, one more game and the Silly Season is over. Up and down Austin Voth is up for us, with not to be taken lightly Seth Lugo on the hill for the Gotham squad. After that, it will be the come-one-come-all, no-days-off, Barnumesque playoff scramble that neither of these two teams managed to qualify for. What a mess has been made here.

Also long a mess of course is the meager metropolis of Falls Church City. Having more or less lost out to Fairfax County on John Lewis, the way is clear now to rename George Mason HS for a similar civil rights icon in Ruth Bader Ginsburg. But there has been no indication yet of movement in that or any direction at all. Many are the boats that The Tiny City has missed over the years, and this is so far shaping up to be just one more of those.

The photo-dope has no idea at all, having never actually been there. But he still likes to make an ass of himself with his blithering nonsense. And while the massive stands of grasses, weeds, and trees have been significantly scaled back up north, the grassy areas with small trees continue along both sides of Wash Ave all the way down to the RR tracks and to the south beyond that.

Trees and grasses don't grow on granite pavers. You said views of the large glass and granite walls of the memorial were obscured. They clearly are not and never have been. You lied.

You're either lying about having been there or lying about what you saw. You've been known to do both, so either or both are distinct possibilities.

Much of Washington Avenue is lined on both sides with large asphalt parking lots. You've seen the photos showing as much. There are small strips of grass and small trees of course. But, there are not these large grassy areas once claimed. You'll notice the word "large" has been dropped from the grassy area descriptions. That happened once it was pointed out that Spirit of Justice park sits atop a 12+ foot wall at its west end. Anyone who's sat at the light off of exit 6 knows this to be the case. Anyone who's driven down Washington Avenue in either direction knows this to be the case. You had to be informed of the existence of exit 6 and the 12+ foot walls because you've never been there.

The only question that remains is why you would lie about such trivial matters?

Well, the witless Whiffies are less and less able to make any sort of intelligible comment at all here. Forget about anything honest or accurate, because there's nothing from what little is left of these dismal fail-tards that even approaches levels such as that. It's all just the same old rotting tripe and sorry stupid shit that they have become so well noted for of late. Talk about a Lost Cause.

Meanwhile, the good life just goes on and on for us out here in the upscale Sweet Spot with out magnificently appointed homes sitting on beautifully landscaped, impeccably maintained properties set across plats of much larger than average-sized lots. Yes, we have all the best out here, while a modest nook and day room are all so many others can honestly claim to have any sort of dominion over.

For our part, we had 66 degrees on the thermometer when I first got up this morning, and today could well be the last on which we see a high anywhere in the 80's for quite some time. The daily stroll down and back to bring in the morning paper was again a pleasant one, the trip having been accomplished under mostly cloudy skies, but with the mostly set to become partly and then barely as the day goes on. As noted, we should see highs the low 80's by mid-afternoon, while the humidity remains high and the winds remain low. No rain in the forecast though, so it should be a good day to get out and bask in conditions we are not likely to see again in the near term. No wildlife sightings do far today, but that should certainly change by early evening.

Better that we could have regime-change by then, but President Ding Dong is promising to be as tough as the clap to get rid of. It's not like he'll be packing it in just because he loses an election or anything. Interesting to consider the feeble bases of his wealth claims as undermined in tax documents published by the NY Times. All that only adds to a pending pile of prosecutions that will be cleared to proceed the day this dismal doofus is finally forced from office.

In other news, 2021 rotation candidate Austin Voth bent against the Mets in the season's final game Sunday, but he never quite broke, lasting the five innings needed to qualify for his second win of the silly-season in what became a 15-5 rout on his behalf. Trea Turner hit a grand slam and ended with 7 RBI's in the game, while Juan Soto went 1-for-1 with a walk to wrap up the 2020 NL batting title with a .351 average. Pretty nifty. But that's the end of even imitation MLB games for now. We will have the sorry side show of a clown post-season coming up, but more interesting will be whatever slate of reruns MASN decides to provide over the winter. All that kicks off with the Black Eye Game tonight at 7:00.

Black eyes are of course something that badly battered Falls Church City has suffered from for years. Horrific losses during the Water Wars, absence of meaningful ahopping and dining amenities, constant but typically pointless bouts of new construction -- All for Naught is the credo that drives and typifies tha overcrowded Teeny Tiny City.

LOL! Yeah, those aren't two streets intersecting north of the tracks in the photo above. Either you're dumb enough to not see what is obvious or dumb enough to think anyone believes your bullshit. Either way, that makes you dumb, dumb, dumb.

Then again, you're dumb enough to think people believe your bullshit about tree growth defying the laws of nature in the photo below.

There are lots of intersections north of the tracks. Just not the one in question. That’s one part you fucked up. Thinking that nothing ever changes after your pictures have been taken is plainly another.

LOL! Of course it is the one in question. Want proof? What are the names of the two streets intersecting to the left of the traffic island in the photo below? Your refusal to answer will confirm that it is the intersection in question. Face it, because you'd never been to the area, you were unaware of the slip lane there. Further, when the large asphalt parking lot at the corner of S. Capitol and Washington Avenue was mentioned, it should have been clear which side of the tracks was being discussed. You came up empty on that one as well.

cbk?cb_client=maps_sv.tactile&authuser=0

That intersection hasn't changed this century. Thinking you can bullshit people by proclaiming all of these drastic changes after photos have been taken is just a part of your stupidity. Likewise, there has never been a point since they were installed that the glass and granite walls of the American Veterans Disabled for Life were obstructed by any foliage to those walking or driving along or across Washington Avenue in that vicinity. To claim otherwise defies common sense and the laws of nature.

LOL! Yeah, go with that. It certainly explains how I was able identify the strip-mall pizzeria because I've never been there. Let's also not forget that the second Italian Store outpost is within walking distance. Well, walking distance for me, not you. If you think that any of these top five Italian joints are somehow exclusive, it is only an indicator of how far you'd need to climb just to get a whiff of my superiority.

You were able to google it from the details of the meal that I had posted, especially the ravioli carmela. You have of course dined there just as often as you did at Brine --- NEVER. And let's note for the record that these updated TA rankings were posted in part as simple FYI's, and in part to make clear the larger point that the real world is one of constant progress and change, while your frozen-in-time pictorial galleries are not.

In the words of Steven Wright, EVERYWHERE is within walking distance if you have enough time. And in your case, permission from the home to be out and abpout on your own. The actual facts of course are that you do not walk around in Great Forest, along Wash Ave, or over to anywhere in Westover. In the event that you ever did, you would come to both the Lebanese Taverna and The Forest Inn before reaching your Outpost #2. I would recommend that you better yourself through stops at each of those.

Exclusive? LOL! Restaurants seek to draw customers in, not turn them away. You seem not to understand the model. You are meanwhile just a low-grade, no-class, dope in a dump, driven to and ultimately beyond distraction by the entirely superior fabric of my life. You cannot afford to live where I live, do what I do, or dine where I dine. It is all immeasurably beyond your meager means.

Well, it seems that we can always count on the Whiffies to do an El Foldo, and that we can always count on magnificent mornings out here in the soaring Sweet Spot. Looks like we could be in for a spot of rain at some point today, but there was none overnight and under mostly cloudy skies, the humidity stands for now at a not very threatening 82%. The usual soft breezes are blowing and with a couple lof yard crews working in the area, the trip out to retrieve the morning paper was enhanced today by the smells of freshly mown lawns. That won't happen too many more times this year. We should just barely reach the low 70's this afternoon, and it may be that we won' see that very often anymore either. The spunds of falling acorns abound now, and it won;t be long before mlore than just acorns are coming down. More of that 'change' thing that keeps happening outside of children's storybooks and fairy tales.

It's a tale of horror of course that surrounds the pernicious Liar-in-Chief, President Ding Dong. On the verge of his first debate with a sensible person, he is dogged by better than credible reports of his having paid $750 in federal income taxes in 2017 when the average American paid more than $12,000. The explanation of course is that Trump is a dyed-in-the-wool Class-1 grifter, but he won't be able to go with that tonight. What a loser this worthless douchebag is.

In other news, Bozo Bobby's papier maché playoffs get underway tonight as well, with four AL wild card games on the agenda. Fans may not have bought into all this, but advertisers are shelling out up to a billion dollars to make it all happen, which was the whole MLB point to begin with. Money, money, money....MONEY! Who cares about the quality of the game?

The fact that some don't care about quality in underscored as well by those who go on living in the murk and mire of Falls Church City when superior spots are all around. Seeking to line its pockets by degrading the Little City, the Insight Group will host a walking propaganda tour of its planned Broad & Washington project starting at 3:00 this afternoon. Last chance to see those parking lots behind Clare & Don's, Thompson, and the State Theater. Insight will be gobbling all those up and replacing them with nothing. How exciting.

Let's not forget that your claims regarding both the intersection and the views of the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial are total bunk.

The intersection hasn't changed this century. Thinking you can bullshit people by proclaiming all of these drastic changes after photos have been taken is just a part of your stupidity and deceit.

Not for you.

Obviously more than you have. While we didn't have one this year, Great Forest is a great place to catch the Memorial Day parade. Not a single townhouse painted in a questionable color. That probably explains why you refuse to substantiate your lie.

Was just there this morning. The views of the glass and granite walls were readily available as they have been since they were installed. As previously noted, some of the interior trees are taking on their autumn colors.

Been to both. But if I'm not in the mood for a greasy spoon dish or kabobs, I might hit up Italian Store. After all, we were discussing your Trip Advisor list of Italian joints.

I've actually been to various Lebanese Taverna spots over the years, including the market.

I can afford not to live where you live or dine where you dine. I also know not to partake in any way in restaurant week. There's the $2.7 million property for sale in the neighborhood. You could buy the house for $1.95 million or adjoining lot for $750K (or both togther). All options are beyond your meager means. Choke on that while you continue to down your crow.

Let's also note your lame-ass response is another indicator that I touched a nerve with my most recent post. It's just more of you projecting your inferiority and ineptitude on others.

Well, the Whiffies may never actually walk over to Westover (or anywhere else for that matter), but they do tend to wander off the reservation and well into the weeds when in comes to such matters as certain DC intersections. Below is the Holy Grail-grade skinny concerning this one. No doubt left here. Every possible question answered.

file.php?2,file=427449,filename=aaeon.jp

Did someone screw up north vs south? Why, yes. Yes, they did. It was all as badly botched here as with Brockmont, Brine, and branzino, not to mention traffic-calming and majestic views of 123 that don't exist at what is now Trip Advisor's #4-rated Italian restaurant in NoVa, that being one of three in their Top-5 that we have recently dined at. As with many wealthy retirees, we do that sort of thing all the time.

Meanwhile, and to the surprise of no one at all, we have another crisp, bright, and shiny morning underway our here in the magnificent Sweet Spot that so many will never come to know, It was a delightful 54 degrees when I got up this morning, making for a refreshing walk out and back to bring in the morning paper. We did indeed have better than half an inch of rain overnight and that has left the humidity to fall from a present 90%, as it should be all sunshine all day today. Looks like we'll never leave the 60's though, so a bit more to the cool side now that what we've been spoiled by up until now. The wildlife gang was on parade last evening as usual while we watched a terrific catch by Victor Robles secure a tenuous but important win over the Braves. Looks like we'll have successful slugfest with the Fish to enjoy later on today.

So there may have been no winners in last night's so-called 'debate', but it does appear that the biggest losers were President Ding Dong and the WWE referee, Chris Wallace. When Trump is involved at all, everything is degraded. He can behave only as a self-obsessed, rules-breaking, spoiled brat boor. That's all he is, after all -- a Daddy-funded prodigal stooge who has never managed to find his way home. What a pure and absolute loser.

In other news, the first four Wild Card games in PT Bobby's grand post-season scheme of a sideshow were played last night. The winners were HOU, CHW, TBR, and NYY. Today, we have an overdose of games every hour from noon to 5:00, and then two bonus games at 7:00 and 10:00. That's quite a lot not to watch, but I think I can handle it. Spring Training was a lot more interesting than this mess.

And speaking of uninteresting messes, what better description could be found for the disastrous dump of Falls Church City? Home to way too many bottom-of-the-barrel losers, the place is a cautionary tale for how bad decision-making can pile up over the years and cause a place to be left both out and behind as against others nearby. Their model for too long has been to tear something down and put something even worse in its place. Could well be that Insight will convince the Tiny City to do that once again.

Badly beaten? LOL! Fucking Parrot. You clearly can't think for yourself. Hardly surprising.

Except, you know, for that part of the intersection that is located entirely north of the tracks. That part is the part where those driving southbound in the 600 block of S. Capitol St. can turn right onto Washington Ave. entirely north of the tracks. You know that to be the case because you refuse to provide the names of the two streets intersecting to the left of the traffic island in the photo below.

Going far beyond badly beaten, Linus is as north-south fucked up as ever. And there is no branzino at Pizzeria Orso again today. Ice ages happen from time to time. There is no proper grill at 2941 either.

If I was fucked up, I wouldn't be aware of the part of the intersection that is located entirely north of the tracks. That is the part where those driving southbound in the 600 block of S. Capitol St. can turn right onto Washington Ave. entirely north of the tracks. You know that to be the case because you refuse to provide the names of the two streets intersecting to the left of the traffic island in the photo below. Looks like you're fucked yet again.

Was it ever claimed that there would be some today? They do have salmon. Remember when you said the only fish that could be found on the menu was anchovies? You are such a dope.

They do. The last one might have been the last time you told the truth.

Funny how this word "proper" somehow showed up. Why do you feel the need to modify it in any way? Multiple sources including the proprietors of the establishment and a publication you have come to rely on quite heavily have confirmed they have a grill. Talk to your boy Nick if you have a problem with their grill.

Speaking of grills and branzino, I had an excellent grilled branzino at Maya Bistro recently. We usually find ourselves at the much closer Yayla, but went on the recommendation of friends. The branzino was delicious. I'm sure it was prepared on a "proper" grill.

Overall some things were better and some weren't when comparing the two. You really couldn't go wrong with either though. I'd heard there'd been some defections from Yayla to Maya which might explain the extremely similar menus and preparations.

Speaking of restaurant related matters, have you figured out the difference between ChowNow and Chowhound yet? Maybe your friends over in the Land of Make-Believe can help you out. LOL!

No part of the intersection lies north of the tracks, dope. You just plain fucked up north and south and now can't face the consequences.

> Was it ever claimed that there would be some today?

Ever since you made your first doofus claim from a bygone era about 'from time to time' branzino. Talk about 'dead fish.'

Not according to the house menu as of this morning or any other remotely recent date. 'Yes, we have no branzino' however continues to be the order of the day.

Being a rational person, I was of course referring to the actual house menu. The one that you can only claim they just don't bother to keep up to date. LOL!

> Funny how this word "proper" somehow showed up.
> Why do you feel the need to modify it in any way?

You as part of your baseless babbling claimed that an ordinary flat-top should count as a grill. A flat-top is not a proper grill. Grills that require wood or charcoal are proper grills. Staff at 2941 have assured me that they have no such thing. They are not a GAR store after all.

WhaT a shame that you have no choice but to hump it all the way over to Arlington just to find some strip-mall Mediterranean. I guess that's why some refer to FCC as a dining desert. I don't myself meanwhile consider Mediterranean to be actual food, but the wife is a fan of cucumbers, so she and her girlfriends do get together at Nostos over by Tysons from time to time. I went once, but not twice.

There is no difference, in that they are each completely irrelevant to the matter of what's on the actual house menu at poorly-rated Pizzeria Orso.

Lie and Deny. It's all a helpless fool can do.

Well, the Whiffies continue to be way over their heads in the wading pool, while the adults out here in the ever-stunning Sweet Spot are in for enjoying the start of another fine Fall day. It was 54 degrees when I got up under partly cloudy skies with no noticeable breezes and barely any noticeable humidity either. Certainly a pleasant enough climate in which to venture out and down in search of the morning paper. Pretty quiet out there this morning though, as neither man nor animal was up to much at the time.

President Ding Dong is meanwhile up to his blubberous butt in the worst sorts of massive blow-back from his miserable fail in Tuesday night's 'debate.' Other than a few fringe-group white supremacists, nobody anywhere in the world seems to have had a positive reaction to that embarrassingly pitiful performance. And at the same time, we learn that the DPRK has all along been busy pursuing and expanding the very nuclear programs that Trumpy Bear claimed he had secured an end to. So easily played for a fool by yet another tin-horn dictator.

In other news, the latest round of pointless phony-ball playoff games was ignored by many yesterday, some in favor of re-watching real baseball from back in 2019. Eighth inning homers by Soto and Adams led to a 12-10 Nats comeback win over the Fish on the Wayback Machine last night. Exciting no matter how many times you see it.

Not exciting even the first time your see it is anything at all concerning the giant flop of Falls Church City. It seems they have cancelled the recent tradition of painting Halloween art on store windows, so don't look for any of that this year. You can apparently still find plenty of local dopes walking the streets in search of food though. That seems to be a big thing in some areas.

So, you admit it was never claimed that it would be there yesterday. I presume then that you admit that branzino has been served from time to time at Orso.

> > They do have salmon.
>

The "specials" menu is not updated on their website. It can be found on their take-out/delivery page which you have yet to find. It is hosted by the same company that hosts Coastal Flats take -out/delivery page. I believe it is Chowhound or was it ChowNow. I guess only the real hospitality industry insiders know the difference. LOL!

> Being a rational person, I was of course referring

And yet, we were clearly talking about specials. That's the whole "time to time" thing, ya know?

> You as part of your baseless babbling claimed that

I merely pointed out that a flat-top is a type of grill. I never implied it is the type of grill employed at 2941.

> A
> flat-top is not a proper grill. Grills that

Limiting it to wood or charcoal is just plain dumb. That leaves out various other forms of fuel used to provide heat. It isn't just my definition, but the definition of industry experts.

https://ownthegrill.com/types-of-grills/
https://bbqchamps.com/7-fuel-sources-for-outdoor-cooking/
https://learn.compactappliance.com/grilling-fuel-sources/
https://www.hpba.org/Consumer-Information/Barbecue-Outdoor-Living/Grill/Fuels
https://www.familyhandyman.com/list/grilling-101-all-about-grill-fuels/

An industry insider would know such things.

Well, there's at least one thing to be thankful for if you are dining at 2941.

All the way? LOL! I suppose for an incompetent invalid an shit-shack shut-in like you a trip that is somewhere around two miles might seem like a long way. Meanwhile, Yayla is but a stone's throw from the front yard. Walkable, at least for me. Obviously not for you.

> I guess that's why some

That would just be you.

Actual or proper? LOL!

Being married to an impotent loser like you, that comes as no surprise. I guess she takes it any way she can get it. LOL!

Yayla, of course, ranks higher on Trip Advisor's list of best Mediterranean restaurants in Northern Virginia for those who cling to such listings.

We were clearly talking about the "specials" menu, dope. And, as you pointed out, COVID menus can be quite fluid.

Well, you are a helpless loser, so that would explain your lies.

^^^ The usual pointless shit-show. You fucked up badly on north-south and also on branzino, which hasn’t been been served at PO for years. Then there are all the other fuckups that you try to ignore, such as traffic-calming on Moore Ave and non-existent views of 123. And of course needing to walk for miles just to find a meal is not much of a plus. We wealthy retirees tend to just hop in the car. Amazing invention, the car. It helps us enjoy fine food that is simply beyond your limited reach.

Of course, if you were a badly beaten buffoon, this is the type of response we'd expect to see.

> You fucked up

What are the names of the two streets seen to the left of the traffic island in the photo below? In order for me to have fucked up, you'd need to answer that question. You can't. You won't, You lose. Again.

cbk?cb_client=maps_sv.tactile&authuser=0

Yeah, you fucked up. AGAIN.

> and also on branzino, which
> hasn’t been been served at PO for years.

Even if that were true, it would not negate the statement that branzino has been served at Orso from time to time. Would it?

But, then we have this....

Read YM C.'s review of Pizzeria Orso on Yelp

What's the date on that review?

http://www.artfuldinerblog.com/blog1/2019/11/06/pizzeria-orso-falls-church-va-a-review/

What's the date of that review?

Yeah, you fucked up. AGAIN.

> Then
> there are all the other fuckups that you try to
> ignore, such as traffic-calming on Moore Ave

I don't care enough to look. Do you commit all traffic calming measures on every route you've ever driven?

Speaking of ignoring fuck-ups, I see you don't want to dispute the types of fuel used to heat grills. You couldn't run away fast enough. Pussy.

> and
> non-existent views of 123.

If you couldn't tell that I was making fun of the fact that your grand Italian feast was in a strip-mall pizzeria along 123, you're even more stupid than I thought.

Tell the pizzeria proprietor to open the blinds.

> And of course needing
> to walk for miles just to find a meal is not much

Who walked miles to find a meal? I understand walking to the edge of your carport might leave you winded, but most healthy people can hoof it a half-mile or so. Many prefer it.

> We wealthy retirees tend to just hop
> in the car. Amazing invention, the car.

And then there are those of us wealthy enough to live in walkable neighborhoods. You were forced to settle for an outside the beltway hovel forced to drive everywhere.

> It helps
> us enjoy fine food that is simply beyond your
> limited reach.

LOL! There is no meal that you need to put your house into hock for that is beyond my reach. That includes meals at strip-mall pizzerias and the slop at GAR.

Well, we were given yet another unwanted welcoming tour of the endless disgrace of waste and filth that is Whiffie World -- a land that ever steeps and stews in its own magnificent levels of ignorance, envy, and butthurt, all day every day. What a sorry state of affairs for the short-fallers and stunted-growth losers condemned to such a sorrowful life there. Meanwhile, what we out here in the First Class accommodations of the grand and glorious Sweet Spot have been given is yet another more than welcome tour of a beautiful autumn morning. It was already 57 degrees by the time I got up after wrapping up a busy week late last night. Missed pretty much all of the half inch of rain that fell overnight, but I'm not missing the bright blue skies, wall-to-wall sunshine, light breeze, and low humidity that we enjoy at the moment. Should get into the mid 60's later on, with an all-day and all-night extension of these gorgeous clear and cool conditions. Might even see some jacket weather by morning. Might also see some wildlife by this afternoon. The big deer are big and the small deer are now bigger, but of whatever size, their numbers will all but certainly be prancing their way across the property sometime before sundown.

Not doing so much prancing about at all this morning meanwhile are the now infected President Ding Dong and his lovely bitch of a third bride, Ms. B-Best Malaria. Looks like karma didn't give either one of these child-snatching fans 'a fucking break.' Third wheel, Hope Hicks either. Too bad, so sad. Put 'em all on one of those nifty ventilators the Donald claims to have built. We need to get rid of them one way or another...

il_794xN.2458270803_mqwh.jpg

In other news, there were more of Bozo Bobby's cartoon playoff games last night, but other than the participants, it's not clear who actually cares. More in this area might well care that former Nat lefty Ross Detwiler was DFA'd by the White Sox and has elected free agency. Now approaching age 35, he still posted a solid 3.20 ERA in 16 phony-ball games (20 innings) for the Southsiders. He should get another chance somewhere as a situational lefty.

No sense in any more chances being given to worse than washed up Falls Church City. The place was already not what it was cracked up to be fifty years ago, and things have only gotten worse since then. And indeed the City Attorney has now thrown another monkey wrench into the Insight Group's proposed Broad & Washington project, noting that state law requires the proposed sales of City-owned property to be approved by a 75% majority of the seven-member City Council. With one vacancy and one recusal, it will be a while before that bar can be met.
