Well, the raging woes of the Whiffies continue on as ever, and in a like manner, the splendor and grandeur of the fabled Sweet Spot are in glowing evidence once again this morning as well. Some of them will increasingly have other things on their minds, but nibbling away at the lush greenery that our property has to offer can be a powerful attraction as well, so hopefully we will win out in at least a case or two.

Not winning anything much beyond rejection and revulsion of course is the awful President Ding Dong. Apparently not welcome anywhere in Mrs. Rogers' neigbhorhood, the Fat Boy slogs on in his defaming of veterans dead and alive, none of whom worried over whether they had bone spurs or not. While a worse thing than stubbing your toe, bone spurs are not a serious condition. They're just not. Oft mocked Carpal Tunnel Syndrome would be a much worse thing.

In other news, worse things just keep on coming, as the Nats fell for a fourth consecutive game to the Phils last night, this time in ten innings when the bad guys were able to score their invisible man from second base after we were not. So that's five losses in a row, and now we get to play two in Atlanta against the first-place Braves. We have Austin Voth lined up for the late afternoon game, and then Wil Crowe in the night game. This may not bode well.

What we have waiting for us out here in the fabulous Sweet Spot meanwhile is a continuation of what has been quite an exceptional late summer morning. It was a rather remarkable 61 degrees outside when I awoke, quite the lowest reading we've had in a while. Bright sun, gentle breezes, low humidity, and no real chance of rain today. Even a butterfly flitting about as I made my way down and back to grab the morning paper. And with the dog days now done, we should see the high 70's later on, but likely no more than that. Ideal for watching wildlife and episodes of Cash Cab.

In a more perfect world, we would be watching no more of this hideous President Ding Dong, but the America-hating asshole is out and about banning federal conduct of race-based sensitivity programs that he insists are un-American propaganda. One day, it will be like magic, it will simply disappear. This is all of course just another downscale bullshit-dump pandering to sub-4th grade low-lifes who believe that their 'rights' somehow came to them as manna from above with no social bounds or responsibilities attached to them at all. That's just plain stupid of course, but these are the 'worst elements' sorts of people that by nature the Fat Boy has such an affinity for.

In other news, the Nats worked hard toward the losing of both games of yesterday's double-header at the badly named Truist Park in Atlanta, but in the end, the Braves' unfit pitchers were just a little bit worse than our own unfit pitchers, and we survived a 7th inning scare to eke out a 10-9 win in Game-2, that after being unceremoniously drubbed in the opener by a score of 7-1. Juan Soto was forced to sit out the day with elbow woes, and minor piece Josh Harrison was forced out early in Game-2 by a painful forearm HBP. 'Jay Hey' should be day-to-day from early reports.

That's better of course than what the desperate dolts and dregs of Falls Church City can legitimately claim. All their causes were lost beyond any hope to the calamity of waves of dopes and dumbasses having moved in many years ago. Piling them all into ever more dense dormitories has not helped matters much either, as those with any money at all simply choose to move elsewhere.
