2-S benefitted the more affluent white kids who’s families could afford college. Minorities were far less likely to pull the deferment.

Except it fell apart when you got caught stealing an image from a professional photographer and then using the same surface to take pictures of the various newspapers you found at the library or Barnes & Noble.

Also, the fact that you think it is normal to ask friends for such images and normal to send such images is just more proof that you are a raving lunatic. It's not normal. It's not even remotely normal.

Well, the days of the Whiffies would appear to be all but done now, as those cowards seem to have limped away and collectively faded into the woodwork. Termite heaven, I suppose, though they were themselves recently stung by the stupidity of their own remote lumber-grading failures. The stooges. Meanwhile, the wealthy retirees and other such sorts who are on long-term assignment to the Sweet Spot are seeing yet another simply gorgeous autumn morning. It was a somewhat frosty 36 degrees when I got up, but that was under bright blue and sunny skies with very low humidity and no real chance of rain at all. Winds are in the teens out of the NW so the trip down and back up the driveway to grab the morning paper was a little more bracing than usual. Highs today should be in just the low 40s, and this won't be the last time that happens. The surgery site from last Friday's procedure continues to heal well by the way, with tomorrow being that last day any special care will need to be devoted to it. Things should then be all clear for some delicious holiday food and taunting on Thursday.

Real President Joe is meanwhile set to release 50M barrels of oil from the SPR in hopes of influencing toward gas price declines. Karens and other entitled types who don't understand inflation numbers have had their powdered noses in the air and out of joint over pump prices that are not as low as they were at the height of the pandemic. Welcome to the real world, boys and girls. The SPR drawdown itself is meanwhile pretty much just symbolic, as it isn't enough to affect markets that already have adequate supplies. Hopefully some of the provisions of Build Back Better will ultimately do more to affect prices by helping to reduce demand.

In other news, a big week for former Nats catchers continues, as Sandy Leon (32) has inked a minor league deal with CLE, now known as the Guardians. He'll be in Spring Training hoping to secure the backup role behind presumed starter, Austin Hedges. Closer to home, Jonathan Papelbon will appear on All Star ballots for the first time this year. The DC Strangler is not expected to garner a whole lot of support.

No support at all is expected meanwhile for the legendary dump of Falls Church City. Sorely lacking in pretty much everything aside from lying uninformed assholes, the Teeny Tiny City will now see a continuation through the end of the year in reduced Metro service at the EFC and WFC stations (that are nor actually in Falls Church) as the system deals with the issue of sidelined 6000 and 7000 series rail cars. Not at all affected by these developments will be wealthy Sweet Spot retirees. Yay, us!

In an amazing coincidence, you are just as off-your-rocker dumb as the asshole, Linus. Student deferments were meant to postpone military obligations for full-time college students in good standing. Lottery numbers began in Dec 1969, and were meant to provide some sense of stability to those under 26 whether they were in school or not. Even for complete numb-nuts nincompoops such as yourself, it would have been hard to dodge what was never headed your way to begin with. Idiot.

What Is a Secured Line of Credit?

When any loan is secured, the lender has established a lien against an asset that belongs to the borrower. This asset becomes collateral, and it can be seized or liquidated by the lender in the event of default. A common example is a home mortgage or a car loan. The bank agrees to loan the money while obtaining collateral in the form of the home or the car.

Similarly, a business or individual can obtain a secured line of credit using assets as collateral. If the borrower defaults on the loan, the bank can seize and sell the collateral to recoup the loss. Because the bank is certain of getting its money back, a secured line of credit typically comes with a higher credit limit and a significantly lower interest rate than an unsecured line of credit does.

One common version of a secured LOC is the home equity line of credit (HELOC). With a HELOC, money is borrowed against the equity in the home.

What Is an Unsecured Line of Credit?

A lender assumes greater risk in granting an unsecured line of credit. None of the borrower's assets are subject to seizure upon default. Unsurprisingly, unsecured lines of credit are tougher to get for both businesses and individuals.

Well, just like you, I've never dined at Fiola Mare. But The Principals do a good deal more restaurant roaming than we do, so they have dined there and hence know what the signature drink of the place is and how often and dramaticaly it is served. Scoffing of course only underscores your own poverty-driven inexperience. Loser.

I have plenty of financial tools. More, it appears, than you do. I know when it is appropriate to take and use a HELOC. I know when it is appropriate to use other means of credit. I also have various options to invest my wealth. You don't seem to have that sort of flexibility.

LOL! Tell that to CashNetUSA.com Man.

Money's on the way, with CashNetUSA!

What actually is tough about such sucker-credit is not getting it, but rather the APRs that come along with it. And of course the complete lack of any interest deductibility.

That's an payday loan not a line of credit stupid. Beyond your dumb example, fact is that you could not get your line of credit without your property as collateral.

Hey, just like the nondeductible personal interest you put on your HELOC that cost you an extra ~$1,000 to get a $700 deduction. lol

As you continue to be just plain too dumb to understand, the expenditure patterns of an upscale household are a given. The only question is over the most efficient and effective means of managing the financing of all that. This is where the utility of a $200K 10/15 equity line comes in. At least for those of us who can qualify for one and understand how one works.

He's probably aware that if he actually described the qualifications, it wouldn't sound all that impressive. It's also like he is completely unaware of the fact that people can maintain multiple open lines of credit each having their own advantages. As you continue to be just too dumb to understand, your rambling babble about being 'wealthy' doesn't change the math. You received no benefit from including nondeductible personal interest under your HELOC. In fact, it cost you +$1,000 more. To the extent that you increased the amount of deductible interest paid, the more money you lost. Not efficient, not effective.

I've dined at places you couldn't even think of sweeping the floors at, dumbo. I've dined at Fiola Mare & I ain't impressed. A phony "hospitality industry insider" like you with imaginary"friends" might be impressed with it, but I wasn't. It was OK, but I wouldn't go out of my way to go there. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't 5 star Michelin, either. Not even 1 star.

& I don't order these fancy pansy drinks, either. Beer, wine or good whiskey suit me just fine. & I order a good whiskey so I don't have to mix it with anything.

So a fake like you can make all the noise you want about high price clip joints & panty boy over priced fancy drinks & pretend you're somebody important, but everybody on FFXU knows what a phony you really are. & A dope, too.

So have fun shitposting here TG Day. You might get a few low grade trolls to answer you, but those of us who got a life will be busy with our families and friends. You're such a nasty, repulsive, childish potty mouth clown so nobody wants nothing to do with you.

Five star "visiting chef". Right. This dunce thinks everybody's as dumb like he is.

Not impressive at all. Anyone with ~$250K in equity, a credit score of ~675, and debt-to-income less than most should ever have to begin with qualifies.

And exactly. Dumbshit is dogmatic to his detriment about everything. And always so confidently wrong. Fine with me. *shrug*

Looks like it is baseless bluster time. Lives in a world where one-type credit fits all. Talk about lack of financial management tools! It was a bit of a giveaway though when he whined about APRs. Those of us with superb credit ratings and the ability to pay the balance on time really don't worry about such things. What we do worry about are the types of benefits that go along with these lines of credit. Cash, miles, hotel points, etc. Decisions and options. Doesn't appear he has options.

Of course, I know why. Just like I know there is no advantage to put nondeductible expenses on a HELOC backed card. Deductible expenses on a HELOC card. Nondeductible on a high rewards card. Keeps everything simple. I guess that is just too complex for you.

It’s all been perfectly clear here since Reagan ended the deductibility of plain old personal interest. The fact that you are so persistently befuddled by it all is not remarkable given the intellectual childishness you display at all hours of the day and night. Such a loser.

It's rather easy to decipher.

You received no benefit from including nondeductible personal interest under your HELOC. In fact, it cost you +$1,000 more. To the extent that you increased the amount of deductible interest paid, the more money you lost.

You can't show otherwise.

You should keep up with the tax code. Some things have changed since the 80s.

Yeah, but all those years of doing the AMT were solid prep for 2017. Hopefully SALT limits will be eased here shortly. I know i’m ready, though taxes don’t really end up affecting our Sweet Spot lifestyle at all.

Of course, of course, of course. But so many of your claims beginning this way end up as nothing but dead-end, one-way streets. Of course you can this, of course you have that -- and when the wash comes out, it's all naked bullshit.

Yes, it is too complex. Fatally so. At the end of the day, it is the deductible balances that create your deductions. If they are isolated in one place as you have just foolishly suggested, then every payment to principal there must act to reduce the corpus of deductible balances, when what you want is to preserve those and pay off the non-deductible balances instead. Simple Car versus Roof Riddle again. Doesn't look like (either one of) you will ever get a handle on that little bit. Dope.

Already crystal clear. Including nondeductible personal expenses under a HELOC has no tax benefit. I've provided the numbers to demonstrate that. You can't do anything other than your usual blabbering like this in response. As you always do when you get called on your bullshit. What's wrong Mr. Finance Expert? Can't do the math to make your case? Apparently not. Oh wait... this must be another of those "twisting in the wind" things again huh? Dumbshit.

Uh, no. I pointed out how you fucked up your own dumb "riddle." Then you got all butthurt over it and in your usual douchebag way started saying that I got it "wrong" because I didn't play your stupid game the way that you wanted. Sorry, not sorry. lol

Well, the badly wounded Whiffies are just slowly slipping away. Undone in the inescapable depths of their ignorance, envy, and butthurt, they just babble on and on while sinking ever deeper into a terrible quicksand of their own foolish making. Out here in the wonderful and well-educated Sweet Spot of course, all we know is the near-idyllic existence of wealthy retirees, where brooks and streams wind their babbling way past wooded, beautifully landscaped, and much larger than average lots, each property it seems tended to by first rate gardeners and grounds-keeping crews. No caribou out here of course, but we are still so much more than just a cut or two above the best of what can be found amongst masses huddled in the crowded corners of dumps back east. This morning's trip down the driveway and back was a little more crisp than usual, as it was just 25 degrees out this way when I got up. We should spend most of the day in the mid 40s though, with light NW breezes, low humidity, and little chance of any actual rain. The weather for Tauntsgiving Day tomorrow looks to be even better, so something else for us all to be thankful for and look forward to.

Real President Joe has meanwhile pardoned the National Turkey (Peanut Butter), noting how the silly ritual can remind us all that from great darkness can come hope and light and progress. Hopefully, that will soon include Senate passage of good old Build Back Better. Meanwhile, Not Mr. Rogers is getting an earful of his own party's famous hatred over news of his having hired an LGBTQ staffer. What's next -- someone who's had an abortion? Read Toni Morrison? Heard of CRT?

In other news, this year's MLB non-tender deadline has been moved from Dec 2 to Nov 30, in order to push it in front of the 12/1 CBA expiration. MLBPA has already distributed materials to players advising them of what the ensuing lockout is expected to look like and what they might do about it. The most probable scenario here is of course that owners will simply muck things up beyond belief. That's just what they do.

Mucked up is also of course the perennial state of affairs in flimsy Falls Church City, where fake claims of one-time travels and living arrangements abound. Thse ar people after all who can't differentiate between light ash and dark walnut. The fools. Meanwhile, FCCPD Chief Mary Gavin has told the City Council that her department has lost 20% of its staff since July, and that things will only worsen unless the Little City can offer more in the way of salary to young officers and new recruits. Eating the seed corn is all but never a good idea, but the Itty Bitty City is just plain packed with slow learners.

Three men went to a motel. The motel manager said a room cost $30, so each man put up $10 and went to their room. A little while later the manager realized the room was only $25, so he sent the bellhop back to the three guys' room with $5. On the way to the room the bellhop couldn't figure out how to split the $5 between the 3 men, so he gave each one of them $1 and he kept the other $2.

This meant that the 3 men paid $9 each for the room for a total of $27. Add the $2 that the bellhop kept = $29.

Where did the other dollar go?

You've got showed up here lots of times as a liar and a dunce. You're ignorant.

Nobody envies a Gerund Boy with the potty mouth of a 5th grader. You're doubly ignorant.

The only 1 w/a hurting butt is you from all the times you get it kicked on this thread. You're so stupid you don't even know your "Big Bad boot is up your own butt & in your own mouth a the same time. CONGRATS, goofy, only a dumb jerk like you could mess up that bad.
