LOL! I suppose your lies really don't amount to much of a debate. Your just like your boy Trump screaming and ranting with not much to say besides lies. No sockpuppets are needed or used to pummel your impotent ass.

BTW, if my directions are Google Map directions, as you claim, you'd have no problem providing a link that substantiates your claim. You haven't, so it is safe to assume you've been caught in yet another lie.

Once again, I refer you to Google's own description of their Google Map Directions.

https://support.google.com/maps/answer/144339

From the source: "You can get directions for driving, public transit, walking, or biking on Google Maps. Whenever you see multiple routes, the best route to your destination is blue. Other routes are in gray on the map."

"On your computer, open Google Maps.
1. Click Directions Directions.
2. Click points on the map, type an address, or add a place name.
3. Choose one of the following:
*Driving
*Transit
*Walking
*Cycling
*Flight"

Now, care to provide a link replicating the directions I provided to TBC? The directions on how to do so are right there for you to follow.

Well, what's the problem?

NO LINK=LIE

Here is a link to what that might look like. Take note it does NOT replicate my directions. Worse for you, you can't provide a link that does.

https://goo.gl/maps/U8bbYg5JMCRxM2oA7

You can even switch the mode of transportation to see how much longer your preferred Metro route is, dope.

All you do is lie and lose. Over and over again.

Well, it was a pleasant enough 61 degrees when I first got up this morning, but that will be the highest reading we see today out here in the ever inspiring Sweet Spot. With the rains having abated a bit after dumping more than four inches of the stuff on us here of late, it seemed a good time to pack into the car and head for the village on a supply mission. The first part of the trip went just fine, but the rains did get one final shot in on the way home. Fortunately, unloading via the dryness of the carport door is a piece of cake. It's all as if we somehow thought of everything! Anyway, lots of delicious fresh fruits and veggies have now been put in their proper place, and this persistent wetness should be dying off for good by early afternoon. We'll be in the low 50's by then, and the mid 40's not very long after that.

Even lower than low of course will be the shameful outlaw (and one of US history's greatest villains), the derelict President Ding Dong. Kept around now like Norman Bates' mother in hopes of stirring up GOP votes in Georgia's two January 5 Senate races, the Fat Boy LOSER is headed for more pain than any of those bone spurs ever inflicted on him as his world is set for imminent demolition. His antics are only making matters worse for him, as he tries to avoid prosecutions starting the day he finally leaves office. Throw him a brick instead of a lifeline.

In other news, perhaps George Springer and JT Realmuto know more than we do in rejecting their one-year $18.9 Qualifying Offers, but it may well be that Kevin Gausman did the right thing in accepting his. There is of course a great deal of financial strain in the MLB system right now, enough to at least dim the possibility of traditional free-agent bidding wars, and the rising tides of COVID are hardly painting any rosier scenarios for the near-term future. Safe passage to 52 weeks from now might have been the best bet on the table. In a more sensible land meanwhile, the Pacific League Climax Series will kick off on Saturday. It's a best-of-four affair with champion SoftBank Hawks being awarded a 1-0 lead over runner-up Lotte Marines at the start. The winner will move on to the Japan Series and face the Central League champion Yomiuri Giants.

Champions of nothing at all of course are the dimwitted dopes and dummies of Falls Church City. The Little City does have kindergartners and 3rd graders back in actual school as of Tuesday, which might cut into their ability to participate as somebody's sock-puppets here at FFXU.

An Early Look at Ozzie’s Corner Italian

For its 12th property, the Great American Restaurants group went with a sure-fire crowd pleaser: Italian food.

WRITTEN BY ANNA SPIEGEL | PUBLISHED ON SEPTEMBER 28, 2010

“Authentic Italian” is the description of choice for most restaurants with a list of contorni on the menu, but the team behind Ozzie’s Corner Italian isn’t trying to replicate the lasagna that a nonna from Bologna would make; the latest addition to the Great American Restaurants group plans to serve the lasagna that Grandma from South Philly would make. In this case, it’s “crazy lasagna” layered with ricotta, wild-boar Bolognese, provolone, and, in the occasional Goodfellas parlance of the menu, “a couple meatballs.”

“We’re an American restaurant that serves Italian food versus one that’s authentic to Italy itself,” says Randy Norton, cochairman of the restaurant group, which also owns 11 other Virginia dining spots including Carlyle, Artie’s, and Jackson’s Mighty Fine Food.

It’s a logical move for a company that has built a strong reputation on regional American cuisine, from the Old West fare of Sweetwater Tavern to the Floridian stylings of Coastal Flats. Still, there are plenty of distinctly Italian touches. Pastas are made from scratch, as is the focaccia. Instead of the restaurant group’s signature Hong Kong-style sea bass, there’s grilled branzino, a type of bass found in the Mediterranean. Wild boar, popular in Tuscany, shows up in both the Bolognese sauce and that lasagna. Lemon-and-garlic-marinated chicken is cooked under a brick atop a wood grill.

The proper means of preparing delicate fish such as branzino would be in a sauté pan or baking dish. End of story.

And yet countless restaurants (including your precious GAR at one point in time) and professional chefs across the globe indicate you're dead ass wrong. End of story.

Speaking of unescapable holes...

just another feeble attempt to distract from your lies.

If my directions are Google Map directions, as you claim, you'd have no problem providing a link that substantiates your claim.

One of the fabulous local "Great American Restaurants"

As a true foodie, I have my favorite spots that are consistent in the quality of the food and service. Coastal Flats in Fairfax Corner has long been my "happy place", but over the past year Ozzie's (both belong to the local "Great American Restaurants" group) has also been a go-to for me. I'll make a special trip there if I call and find the Branzino is the featured fish of the day, especially when served with the green olive set. Fabulous, fish dish! It's perfectly prepare, with a little crisp to the skin. The brick chicken is also a favorite. There are several good dishes, including pasta dishes, of course. Ozzies is GAM's Italian restaurant offering, but with their own twist. For dessert, the Tiramisu Hoho is a favorite. Sunday's feature a special brunch menu with several unique items. Try the Limoncello Martini for a sweet and refreshing summer cocktail. The service here is casual, friendly, and reliably attentive, just like at all of the GAM excellently managed restaurants.

Great American Restaurants Announces Opening Date for Ozzie’s Corner Italian

September 16, 2010 at 11:20 AMPublic

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Great American Restaurants Announces Opening Date for Ozzie’s Corner Italian

FALLS CHURCH, VA – September 14, 2010 - We are excited to announce that Ozzie’s Corner Italian will open for dinner on Friday, September 24, 2010 in Fairfax Corner. This newest GAR location is located at 11880 Grand Commons Avenue, Fairfax, and the phone number is 571-321-8000.

“We couldn’t be more excited to open in less than two weeks,” explains Jamie Olweiler, Managing Partner. “Italian is new for GAR and we have a fantastic menu and great space to be serving our guests, and I’m really thrilled to be a part of it,” continues Olweiler.

Who is Ozzie, you might ask? Many guests know our Partner and VP of Kitchen Operations, Chris Osborn, as “Ozzie” and are familiar with his famous rolls. Ozzie’s recreates the early 1900’s neighborhood dinner houses in NYC’s Little Italy…but on a larger scale.

The food is Casual Italian. Ozzie’s Menu Highlights: House Made Fresh Pasta and Focaccia, Paninis, Arancini, Lollipops Scarpariello, Short Rib Ragu, Antipasto, Sunday Chopped Salad with Meatballs, Veal Milanese, “Crazy Lasagna” with Meatballs, Wood Grilled Brick Chicken, Branzino, Red Wine Poached Prunes, Tiramisu Ho Ho…and much more.

We are also proud to share that in our ongoing effort to help our community, Ozzie’s has partnered with Feeding America. Ozzie’s will donate $.25 from the sale of each dessert to this organization. In 2009, GAR was happy to have donated $108,622 to nine different charities through this program, bringing our total dessert partner donation to over $800,000 since 2002.

For your entree, consider the Arnaki Fournou, or lamb
shank; braised in wine tomato sauce. The dark, rich meat
easily shreds off the bone with a fork. It lies in a heaping
portion of orzo with tomato sauce that could be a standalone
dish by itself. Another authentic Greek entrée worth
savoring is the Lavraki, or Branzino, a firm white fish served
hot off the grill
and deboned tableside. Some entrees include
lemony roasted potatoes and silky green beans in a tangy
tomato sauce.

Excellent Fish

This is a seafood restaurant—don’t go here unless you want fish—but the fish is excellent. They have multiple choices which can be cooked in multiple ways. Two of us had grilled branzino and the third had halibut in a beautiful light sauce. We added spinach and asparagus, both cooked and seasoned perfectly.

The service was excellent and the atmosphere lively but not too loud. Wine list is superb—6 Chardonnay by the glass choices, for example. We would definitely return.

So, the very badly bruised and battered egos of these whackjob Whiffies have driven them in their definitively low-brow way to wasting hour after hour in pointless demonstration of how often delicate fish such as branzino are improperly prepared. The same of course can be said for every perfectly good steak served 'well done', when it is the opposite that is true. But these clowns can't tell north from south or lunch from dinner, and frequently suffer from highway hallucinations when so much as contemplating highly-rated area restaurants that they've never been to. It's just a joke that they continue to open their foolish mouths at all.

And by the way for not the first time, our long-standing connections within the hospitality industry led to our being invitees to the soft-opening (aka mock service) at Ozzie's in 2010, and again last year at Randy's Prime. It's nice to be recognized and appreciated in that way.

Well, the worthless Whiffies may continue to gobble away like flocks of big fat turkeys, but we more sensible sorts, long and well ensconced in the upscale lands of the Sweet Spot, carry on into the dark winter of Donald Trump's discontent. It was a mere 45 degrees when I got up, and it was mostly cloudy out there. But the sun should return to prominence by early afternoon, and we ahould see the low 60's at least before the day is done. With a variety of chores and errands crossed off the list yesterday, the already completed trek down and back to bring in the morning paper may turn out to be the longest journey we undertake today. If so, it will mean plenty of time to enjoy cups of freshly-brewed single-estate Kona and to keep an eye out for any of our various wildlife friends who might choose to pass through this much larger than average property today. It is one of their favorites after all.

No sensible person's favorite at this point for anything but jail or exile of course is the unplugged President Ding Dong. His welcome already worn out long, long ago, he now hopes to pull an end-run around the massive vote totals that made him a LOSER on Nov 3, not that he hadn't already been one for decades. Fears of some great down-in-flames, slash-and-burn exit strategy are widespread at this point, with GOP-imposed limits on the madman likely to be few and court-imposed limits likely to be ignored. This whole four years has been just a sorry, sorry time for America. Such a huge and costly mistake that 2016 election was.

In other news, the Pacific League Climax Series will kick off tomorrow night with Fukuoka's SoftBank Hawks already holding a 1-0 lead over the Chiba Lotte Marines. A berth in the Japan Series awaits the winner, and most will be surprised if that's not the powerful Hawks.

Most would be surprised as well if anything good were ever to come out of the dreadful dump of Falls Church City. Recent news reports suggest that FC Distillers may be set to follow the bad example of Mad Fox Brewing if noise restriction on their venue are imposed and enforced as many residents of adjacent neighborhoods have been lately calling for. The outdoor wailings of off-key drunken rowdies are apparently not much appreciated by those of finer sensibilities. Can't much blame them.

TOM SIETSEMA’S 8 FAVORITE PLACES TO EAT RIGHT NOW 8/2019

NOSTOS

Greece remains on my bucket list. Meantime, I trek to Tysons for the sunshine and seafood I expect I’ll encounter when I actually make it to the cradle of Western civilization. If there’s a lighter taramasalata out there, I have yet to taste it. The restaurant’s choice whip of fish roe, lemon juice and olive oil, scooped up with warm pita, could pass for a cloud. Nostos is where I also come for whole fish, typically sweet-fleshed branzino, filleted by a server with the precision of a surgeon and presented with horta — pleasantly bitter boiled greens — and roast potatoes kissed with lemon and oregano.

You’ll be greeted at the door by someone who acts as if they’ve been expecting your company and led to a linen-dressed table where the walls are dressed with black-and-white photographs of fishermen or famous faces (Anthony Quinn mid-dance) from earlier times. Strategically placed olive branches and a palette of white and gray whisper “Greece,” as do lamb ribs propped up on their plate with smoky eggplant salad, and a wedge of tender orange cake. General manager Angela Pagonis says her family has a vision for the business: “We want to bring Greece here.” Sure enough, these meals edge diners closer to the islands.

Picking up a meal at Centrolina in CityCenter comes with a perk near the checkout counter: shelves of curated goodies — anchovies, chickpeas, grape must, nougat — to fill any gaps in your pantry. Plan, then, to shell out extra when you think you’ve come just for pasta from Amy Brandwein, whose pastas, you should know, are some of the best around. If there’s a first among equals, it’s fettuccine draped with white-with-veal Bolognese, the sauciness of which helps preserve its status from point A to B. Minced carrots sweeten the dish; sage weighs in with subtle mintiness.

Pasta is part of a dinner package for two, with multiple choices spread across four courses, for $115. It’s admittedly a splurge amid so much economic uncertainty, but also a creative way to, say, toast a special occasion or take that postponed trip to Italy within the safety of your own four walls. Plus, it’s food enough for a light lunch the next day. The menu starts with a salad — the combination of melting fennel, biting radicchio and sweet apple calls to me — followed by a pasta and something from Centrolina’s wood-fired grill. Branzino remains crisp from the flames and stays moist, thanks to lemon slices tucked inside the fish. The main course arrives in a garland of tomatoes, olives and marvelous potatoes made rich and wonderful with olive oil. Rounding out the feast is a vegetable: broccoli rabe with slivered garlic, the workhorse of Italian sides.

I described Brine to a T. You were clueless where the bar was in relation to the entrance. You also never mentioned the existence of the "proper" wood grill verifying you never stepped foot in the place! LOL!

> How about that second traffic-calming measure on
> Moore Avenue,

Don't know. Don't care. I don't commit to memory things on routes I don't normally travel. I can tell you where exit 6 is off of 395 in DC, the never unobstructed views of the glass and granite walls of the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial, the slip lane from S. Capitol St. to Washington Ave. entirely north of the tracks, and the 12+ foot walls at the west edge of Spirit of Justice Park. I can do all of those things because I drive or walk that area quite frequently. You, on the other hand were oblivious to all of those and then some. Your lies were quickly spotted only to further infuriate you. The inspection sticker issued in July of 2019 closed the coffin on you.

I'll repost these, because I know they hurt...

This Grilled Fish Makes a Spectacular Labor Day Feast

September 3, 2020 in Food & Drink [WSJ]

“FAMILY-STYLE” defines this dish from chef Marcelle Afram in additional methods than one. It’s a riff on one she makes at Maydan, in Washington, D.C.: entire grilled fish and radishes with shatta, an electric-green Center Japanese sauce of cumin, orange zest, cilantro, parsley, scallions and splash of vinegar. “Tear off some flatbread, choose off the meat and dip it within the sauce,” the chef suggested.

Ms. Afram grew up with this sort of informal feasting, in a close-knit Assyrian group outdoors D.C. “My grandfather would catch a fish and we’d eat this outdoors,” she mentioned. “He discovered the sauce in his travels after which made it his personal.”

When grilling, you’ll understand it’s time to flip the fish when it releases from the grate. Gauge for doneness by prodding. “The meat might be robust initially, after which it softens and provides,” Ms. Afram mentioned. It’s executed when the tip of a knife inserted on the thickest level emerges heat.

It’s a hands-on, intuitive method of cooking—and consuming too. Plates and utensils are non-obligatory. Properly-chilled drinks and napkins are necessary.

Substances

2 entire dorade or branzino, about 1½ kilos every, gutted and scaled
Kosher salt and freshly floor black pepper

Instructions

Preheat a grill. Totally dry fish and season it throughout with salt, pepper, sumac and 1 tablespoon cumin. Slice zested orange into skinny rounds and halve the rounds. Stuff fish cavities with just a few orange slices plus cilantro and parsley stems. Set fish apart.

Alfred Portale’s Grilled Branzino With Eggplant Puree Recipe

Michelin star Chef Alfred Portale made his name as the executive chef and partner at Gotham Bar and Grill before starting Portale, his own restaurant in 2019. The New York City-based chef has won three James Beard Awards and has written three cookbooks. In this class, he draws on his Italian roots — and decades of experience — to create what he calls “new American cuisine.”

Below is the recipe for grilled branzino from Portale’s class at De Gustibus in June 2018.

4 six-ounce branzino filets

Heat the grill. Clean and oil the grate. Lightly oil the branzino and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Grill skin side down (approximately 3-4 minutes). Turn the filet over and cook until just cooked through (approximately 2 minutes more).

Serves 4 people

Proper ways to cook a tender fish like branzino would be in a baking dish or sauté pan. People making mistakes don’t change the facts. It’s a little like speeding that way.

The River Café

The River Café has been around for forty years and has seen the best and worst of the city. But even after being around for four decades, the Irish-American owned restaurant has remained relatively unchanged and continues to produce happy customers. The best seat in the house is by the window, which overlooks the Brooklyn Bridge, with fantastic views of the city. In a post by Yoreevo they note how there are more than 13,000 buildings in NYC above 60 feet tall, which means it makes for the most beautiful skyline. All the high-rise buildings create the perfect urban backdrop as you indulge in their signature dishes. You can start with their delightful pear salad, followed by grilled branzino, and hot soufflé to finish.

While The River Café has produced many culinary firsts (e.g. the term “free range chicken” was invented here under Larry Forgione), no other American restaurant has produced as many world class chefs – Larry Forgione, Charlie Palmer, David Burke, Rick Laakkonen and Brad Steelman.

The River Café has been celebrated with numerous accolades including: a Michelin Star, The Restaurant Hall of Fame Award, The “Ivy Award of Distinction” from Restaurant and Institutions Magazine, Distinguished Restaurants of North America Award (DiRoNA), The New York Parks Council Award, The Municipal Arts Society Award, The “Wine Spectator Award of Distinction” from Restaurants and Institutions Magazine, The Wine Spectator Award, selected by the French culinary guide, “Gault Millau,” as one of the five best restaurants in New York.

Centrolina

Rounding out the feast is a vegetable: broccoli rabe with slivered garlic, the workhorse of Italian sides.

img_2333.jpg?w=620

The James Beard Foundation today announced the finalists for its 2020 awards, putting four D.C. chefs — and one restaurant — a step closer to winning the coveted honor.

Amy Brandwein, the proprietress who oversees the pasta program and wood-burning oven at Centrolina in CityCenter, is nominated for Best Chef: Mid-Atlantic for the fourth year in a row.

Centrolina gives diners plenty to rave about

By Tom Sietsema
Food critic

October 10, 2019

The following review appears in The Washington Post’s 2019 Fall Dining Guide.

Everybody at the bar of my favorite landing spot in CityCenterDC seems to be reviewing their meals. “I could eat this salad for breakfast, lunch or dinner,” a woman tells her date. Sliced Asian pear with walnuts, honey and lemon is definitely a round-the-clock kick. Next to me, a guy glued to a bowl of steaming egg soup declares it to be “just like my grandmother’s.” Lucky grandson.

Amy Brandwein’s cooking elicits raves, mine included. Her wood-fire-kissed scallops and squid are an ocean of love, and her pastas run to such joys as whole-wheat “rags” draped with rabbit ragu and perky olives. And the alley outside is richer with the recent addition of Piccolina, her tiny all-day cafe. Meanwhile, a redo of her osteria and mercato is expected to be finished at the end of November. Look for a private, 30-seat dining room; a market with more sauces, spreads and seasonal delicacies; and up to 10 more stools at the bar — more elbow room for amateur critics!

3 stars (Excellent)

Centrolina: 974 Palmer Alley, NW centrolinadc.com .

Open: Dinner daily, lunch weekdays.

Prices: Dinner mains $22-$42.

Sound check: 78 decibels / Must speak with raised voice.

Branzino - mediterranean sea bass, sweet pepper, greek yogurt & calabrian chile, lemon at Centrolina.

[Looks absolutely delicious! Look at what you can never eat now you fucking loser. LOL!]

So the Whiffies -- to include a half dozen sock-puppet stooges or so -- have flown off the handle and fallen now into a deep clinical despair as the result of a severe case of Branzino Derangement Syndrome. Unable to fathom the simple fact that a hefty, hearty steak and a delicate whole fish or mere filet might best be prepared in different manners, testosterone-driven dopes have just lost all sense of balance and proportion, disintegrating of late into an emotionally disordered state not seen since the darkest days of Phase-2. Given time, they were able to survive that episode, but such is not at all certain this time around.

Well, things may have come quite a cropper for the poor Whiffies...

file.php?2,file=215566,filename=falloff_

...but we out here in the wonderful Sweet Spot are simply enjoying yet another bright, crisp, and beautiful autumn morning. It was a somewhat bracing 39 degrees when I got up, but with bright sun shining all day long, we'll soon be up to the mid 50s with light winds and no real chance of rain. The grounds crew was here late yesterday to begin the unenviable task of de-leafing the place. They have quite the long way to go yet, but all will be gorgeous again once they are done. Not as gorgeous as when they are done in the Spring, but about as good as you can get at this time of year. Our wildlife friends will no doubt applaud the removal of all these leaves at least. Their visiting hours have been more intermittent than regular of late, but a fella's still got to eat.

Undeserving of any further taxpayer-funded meals of course is the Fat Boy fraud who can't read the writing on the wall. There are no lawsuits or recounts that can save him. He is toast and should simply face the facts. He botched both COVID and the economy, and sick and tired voters tossed him out on his ass for it. Bye Don! Time to pack your bags and make way for a real President to move in.

In other news, Bozo Bobby Manfred now believes that fans can be allowed back into tye stands for 2021. Unlike Gov. Northam, he takes no account of COVID data presently being worse than ever with any widely available or accepted vaccine still being 6-8 months away at best. Those are not the numbers that he cares about of course. All that drives him are the 30% declines in LCS and World Series TV viewers that will seriously undercut MLB revenues going forward, even if state and local governments decide to allow public congregations on such a scale. Stay runed to NPB, as those dark clouds on the horizon suggest that further sessions of phony-ball are about all that MLB can hope for, if 'hope' is really the right word for it.

Hope is the only word of course for the flocks of failures from over in Falls Church City, as day after day of collapse and disappointing decline are all the news that comes from there. It's just not a pretty situation for folks in the Teeny Tiny City.

You continue only to make an ass of your ignorant copy-and-paste self. Not exactly hard to do, of course. Throw a Delmonico on the grill if you must, but the proper way to prepare a strip steak is to sear it over high heat and then finish over low heat until the desired internal temperature is reached. Add a bit of butter, let it melt, then slice and serve. Barbarians of course might have other ideas. Pay them no heed.
