Re: Dollar Tree on Maple Avenue in Vienna is now open!

Well, these badly wilted Whiffies can only wallow in morasses of their own infantile making, but out here in the far more pleasant and reputable populated places to be found in the unsurpassed Sweet Spot, we are off to a brisk start to what should be quite the fine Fall day. It was 52 degrees outside when I first got up, with sun pouring down from beautiful clear blue skies. There were medium bits of breeze blowing, little chance of any rain at all, and humidity that was not a factor at less than 60%. Wow! It was a lovely trip out to collect the morning paper, and it's going to continue to be simply gorgeous all day long, with reaching the 70-degree mark at any point being a maybe-yes and maybe-no sort of thing. Could be time to start getting those sweaters and jackets out of summer storage.

Could be time to join the rising stampede to get rid of President Ding Dong as well. The fool is off packing multiple lies into single sentences, while failing to do anything actually helpful about COVID, or much-needed economic relief, or ragng wildfires, or taging racial injustice, or foreign interference in our elections, or our flagging status around the world. Eight years of Bush-43 were indeed a tragic horror story, but this moron has gone even further in bad directions in still less than four years. The tabulators say he has told over 20,000 lies in that time. This is how little class and character this no-clothes, waste-of-time, emperor has.

In other news, the Nats were off yesterday, but since the Orioles simply clobbered the Braves, we are now just 9.5 games out of first place with 15 games to play. Whoopee. The first of those remaining games will come this evening at the Trop -- likely the weirdest ever MLB ballpark. We'll be going with the inconsistent Anibal Sanchez who will be opposed as opener by John Curtiss, a guy who has done well in that role this summer, as a 1.53 ERA would suggest. In the meantime, MLB and the Player's Association have reached some sort of agreement concerning he 2020 post-season that the Nats are so unlikely to be any part of. Details should be announced later today.

No details will be announced later today though concerning resolution of anything at all over in cracked and fissured Falls Church City. There is still no information about The Corpse of S Washington Street, so citizens remain in the dark as to how dead bodies can simply appear at random points around town. I don't think that happens in Brockmont, and it certainly does not happen out in the so much more civilized Sweet Spot.

Well, NY Waterway and Delta may actually be saying the very same thing, but here is hoe the airline put it in a 2016 celebration of the 25th year of its Shuttle operations...

In New York, Delta featured a Water Shuttle, too, which offered travelers a quicker water route between LaGuardia Airport and Manhattan (That service ended in 2001).

https://news.delta.com/delta-shuttle-celebrates-25-years-convenience-flexibility

Bottom Line: None of this jibes well with claims of near weekly rides on that Delta Water Shuttle facility made some fifteen years after the fact. Like so much else, those were always just a batch of made-up bullshit.

Well, the water-logged Whiffies could only hope to waddle away after their very bad boating boo-boo last night. Not ar all surprising of course, as such awful outcomes are an almost inevitable rhing with them in their so very poorly educated state.

Meanwhile, we began with another bright, brisk, and beautiful Fall morning out here in the scrumptious Sweet Spot today. It was a bracing 52 degrees out there when I first got up, but a bit of cloud cover has nuck in since then. That should all burn off by early afternoon, but we still won't be seeing temperatures much beyond the low 70's today. Light breezes, no real chance of ran, and humidity sitting n the 60's. Made for another very pleasant journey out and back to reel in the morning paper, but again one without wildlife contact. Late afternoon should bring a definite change on that front.

No change at all when it comes to President Ding Dong. So busy doctoring up fake campaign videos and promising endless free doses of a vaccine that, if at all, won't be available until well into 2021, the loser seems hellbent on simply lying his way into an utterly undeserved second term. What a lame-ass way he has of going about things. Plainly, voters must reject this phony gasbag and put the country back on the right track, one that it left now far too long ago.

In other news, Anibal Sanchez pitched about as expected last night -- i.e., poorly -- as the Rays used a 4-run 5th inning to drive him from the game and build an insurmountable 6-run lead. The DC side was able to put a single tally on the board in the 6th, but a dull and boring 6-1 loss was all that came of that. Injuries have made a bad team even worse this year, and with more holes coming as contracts come to expire, some higher draft picks than what has been usual for a while may be all the good that 2021 will be able to offer. Get your copy of 'Improbable' and just play that over and over and over until we get better again.

Also seemingly stuck in the dumps of course are the cads and clowns of faded Falls Church City. Able only to lie about their desperate lack of real personal or professional distinction, these strays and foundlings can only sit in their rooms and use google as their primary but ever so unreliable connection to the real world. Such a pitiful life it is that they lead.

Bottom line: Long after you claimed that it stopped in 1998.

Sure it does. And I continued during and after that time via other ways into and out of the city - cab, car, train, helicopter out a few times. But coming from DCA into LGA on the shuttle the water route was easy and relaxing. Right up until September 2001. Can you guess why?

Still sticking to this stupid shit? You just don't learn. Whether a place is a "chicken place" or not is irrelevant to the fact that Liberty BBQ has tasty fried chicken. I suppose a chicken shit like you would know a "chicken place" though.

LOL. Keep in mind that I can turn my head and have peripheral vision. I suppose you quite literally have tunnel vision.

Let's also keep in mind the comment was made to point out your grand Italian meal out was in a strip mall off of 123.

LOL! You are so totally fucked! All that remained of the Delta Water Shuttle after May 1998 was the service mark, an asset that was acquired with all the others by NY Waterway. Perhaps you think that Bell & Howell or the Fuller Brush Company still exist because their service marks do? Really dumb!

Like your asinine Water Wars claims, all of the above is pure manufactured hogwash. A load of crap that only further confirms that you just a big fat lying asshole who will say anything at all in hopes of somehow redeeming a badly battered butt that ever has that big bad boot crammed up it. In reality, you never rode any version of an LGA water taxi. never ate at Esca, and never spent time in midtown Manhattan. Who remembers ‘Oldies 100’? Who thinks rehashing horrible losses from the past will somehow rehabilitate the fallen FCC asshole?

KFC, Popeye’s, Chick-fil-A, and Liberty BBQ??? Which one doesn’t belong?

As for #5, had you ever been there, you would have know about window treatments and the menu and that there are no exterior views from the dining room other than to the SW. You could of course get up from your meal, go outside, turn to the right, and walk down the block. If you went far enough you could end up seeing Anita’s as well as the strip mall that includes Clarity and Ristorante Bonaroti. Turn then to the left and you might catch a glimpse of the strip mall that includes The Virginian, Cafe Renaissance, and Natta Thai. Rose Kabob, Maple Avenue Restaurant, and Taco Bamba are all too far along to see from there though, while Bazin’s, Red Galanga, The Sandwich Shop, and Church Street Pizza all set well back off the main road. So many nice places to dine in Vienna. That’s one reason why we head over that way as often as we do.

LOL! I don't give a shit about the window treatments. They were clearly not that memorable. I am familiar with the menu which is how I immediately recognized which strip-mall pizzeria (as the establishment's signage indicates) you allegedly dined at. As for the views, try turning your head sometime. Dumbass.

Yeah, I just made up a story about riding on an obscure water shuttle in NYC in the late-90s through early-2000s. Think about it objectively for a minute you huge douche... How fucking likely do you think that is? Especially given that I can and have answered all of your dumb fucking attempts to, for whatever reason, question that fact.

Midtown was the corporate HQ offices. My main working office space was in lower. Which made the water shuttle a very convenient mode vs others given that it was just a few blocks from the docks where all of the commuter ferries land and the helipads. Acela now and then but a pain to get to/from on this end, takes too long, and not as good of an end point. DCA much faster at the time pre-9/11. Also offices in Newark where I'd fly into often. Not really in any of our offices a lot. Mostly out across the country to sit in the offices of the CEO/CFO/CIOs of some of the largest companies in the world. Often several per week.

All while you were riding the Metro in your brown suit and brown shoes to sit at your desk for 20+ years. Which is why this bothers you so much.

Awww... LOL!

I brought them up point out that the proprietor likely lowers them to obscure the views found in a strip mall off of 123. Maybe he doesn't, but you were indicating there are no views. You are wrong. Again.

Nothing special about it. It's on the menu every day. But, it's agnolotti not ravioli.

He's clearly a pathological liar. Why would anyone lie about nonexistent painted townhouses in a neighborhood? Why would anyone lie about the views of a memorial dedicated to veterans available to those driving on Washington Avenue? Why does this guy lie about any of the shit he lies about?

It's absurd. But, as a pathological liar, it seems normal to him for people to lie about stupid shit. He does it all the time.

Of course, to mentally stable people lying about such things is ridiculous.

Exactly.

Midtown in your oxygen-starved cranium.

Then you should not have had such a hard time with the High Line or poor Dave's failure in Chelsea. Might even have known that the majority of ferry landings is on the west side.

OECD and the Paris Club are in Paris. IFAD is in Rome. And unless a media or other special event were involved, I rarely wore any sort of suit at all.

The actual point was that the best left-overs in FCC would have come from an out of town chicken place, since the Sorry City didn't have any of those. Does it today?

There are views to the southwest. The window treatments that you know so little about are drawn late in the day in order to keep the sun from shining into the eyes of diners.

Because, aside from routine weeding and such, this drastic landscaping you are claiming simply didn't happen.

You clung to your watercolor and proceeded to point out the "enveloping canopy" of the memorial and how it was intended. Now, you are claiming they did away with it? Again, why lie about such matters?

So, you are claiming that the small trees in the photo below grew so massive and dense in less than a year to obscure the views of the glass and granite walls seen in picture? This is what you expect people to believe? LOL!

Here we can see it in 2017 and the trees are not much smaller than the ones in 2019.

LOL! You haven't been there in years, if ever. I meanwhile drove that route three times in October 2019 on the way to Games 3, 4, and 5 of the World Series, and then once each in April, May, June, July, August, and September of this year. I've seen up close what's been going on there. You have not got one fucking clue.

Again, not useful to me. If coming from our offices in Newark, I was not taking a fucking PATH train anywhere. Especially not to then take a damn ferry. lol I'd just take a car service door to door.

The Delta Water Shuttle was an entirely different deal. Short walk from the plane though the old marine terminal, stop and buy a ticket quickly at the counter or kiosk, walk out to the dock in the back, have a seat. Done. Quick and easy.

There was nothing special about your order.

From the proprietor's own social media post the week you allegedly went (your storybook dinner is beginning to crumble under closer scrutiny).

"Today we will be open for limited indoor, outdoor
and bar table seating as well as carry out until 10:30PM.

Please call in advance to check on table availability
or to make a reservation.

Don't forget about Mary Watson's amazing pre-order wine Specials, too! These incredible deals will only be available to purchase until tomorrow, August 16th.

In an effort to make sure our guests and staff remain safe, we continue to clean and sanitize daily. All kitchen staff wear gloves, shields, masks and have their temperature checked to start work.

Listed below are our new food and wine Specials
that are available in addition to our regular menu."

Would you like to see the "specials" menu for that week? Those are posted as well.

Pictures don't lie, but you do.

When you can't substantiate a claim with anything more than "I said so," you are a liar. When irrefutable evidence shows that you are full of shit, you are a liar. LOL! Sure. Go with that! Your entire alleged meal was straight off the standard menu. You just confused ravioli and agnolotti. Like most of your blunders, it would be much easier to admit your error. Well, the Whiffies may have gone yesterday from out-of-date images of watercraft to out-of-date images of restaurant menus, but the up-to-the minute story today out here in the ever-stunning Sweet Spot is that more delightful autumn weather is headed our way. It was a non-summery 59 degrees out there when I was first awakened by a somehow unblocked call reminding me that an auto warranty is about to expire, Bunch of damned unprincipled Republicans behind all that rubbish. And with the sun now poking through here and there under still mostly cloudy skies, we have hardly any breeze out there at all, and the humidity sitting only barely above 70%. Made for a mostly comfortable stroll on down to snatch up the morning paper, and it looks like something around 72 degrees is going to the high for the day. Shouldn't see any rain through the bulk of the day, but that could change some as the sun heads down this evening. Might be a reason to check the rain gauge in the morning.

It's the brain gauge that needs checking each morning with the nitwit President Ding Dong. Long Tall Sally has just drowned much of the Sunshine State, and the CDC now admits that peoplw won't actually see a COVID vaccine until late 2021 at best. But never fear, the Dog-and-Pony President has just signed a new Executive Order that would use an Obamacare provision in an attempt to being about lower drug prices, This order will replace the one he signed in July that was to have done the very same things. All show, and no tell with this philandering dope!

In other news, Nats closer Daniel Hudson was one more 97-mph fastball away from locking down a DC win over the Rays, but he threw a fat slider instead, and it got sent to a far away place. Tie ballgame. With an invisible man on 2nd to start the 10th, Luis Garcia hit the first pitch to an even further away place, and the good guys managed to ride off with a 4-2 win. While most don't seem to see it, the kid has a good deal more than middle-infield pop in his bat, and if he can keep making consistent contact, he's going to be as big an asset at the plate as he is in the field. He's a keeper.

Hard to find keepers in so many populated places within pitiful Falls Church City. That's just a low-lying dump of a place peopled with way too many loons and other unplugged losers. A recent poll of 19 persons there shows that just 7 are encouraged by the involvement of young activists in City politics. Maybe they think apathy is the way forward for them? Sad!

Psst! An actual COVID menu would have been either a smallish piece of paper or something to be unlocked from a Quick Response image such as this one...

Psst! All this "COVID menu" bullshit is because you blundered and mistook ravioli for agnolotti.

From the strip-mall pizzeria proprietor's own social media post the week you allegedly went (your storybook dinner is beginning to crumble under closer scrutiny).

Psst! If you had actually been to the AVDL Memorial area recently, you would have been as taken aback by the landscaping subtractions as much as anyone else. This amounts to a complete and not so beneficial makeover for the place. Like a bad haircut, the result has been something that only time can correct. The place has been left with all the delight and ingratiating charm of finding a lump of coal in your Xmas stocking. And of course the white truck is still not parked on S Capitol Street, and the intersection of that and Wash Ave is still south of the railroad tracks.

Square versus round is something I've always been pretty good at figuring out. You, not so much. You suck as well at detecting traffic-calming devices, and at figuring out where 'majestic views' of 123 can and cannot be found. And what did you have for dinner last night, by the way? You never did say. Loser.

LOL! My frequent trips to the area (including walking through the memorial on Tuesday) and all photographic evidence show this claim to be complete and total bullshit. The only question is why you would lie about such things?

So, you are claiming that the small trees in the photo below grew so massive and dense in less than a year to obscure the views of the glass and granite walls seen in picture? This is what you expect people to believe? LOL!

cbk?cb_client=maps_sv.tactile&authuser=0

Here we can see it in 2017 and the trees are not much smaller than the ones in 2019.

cbk?cb_client=maps_sv.tactile&authuser=0

But somehow in your world these small trees grew so massive and lush in the span of less than a year that they obscured all views of the glass and granite walls of the memorial. This is your contention? LOL!

How would you know? You can't actually say for certain what the name of the street is that the pickup truck is parked on. You're batting .000 in that department. So, what street do you claim it is parked on?

> and Wash Ave is still south of the railroad

Part of it is. Part is under the tracks. Another is to the south where the pickup truck is parked in the photo that now haunts your every waking hour.

Telling the truth is what you have trouble with. It's rather obvious you fucked up. You tried to quickly pivot and claim it was a special. When you found out the "specials menu" from that week were still available online, you quickly tried to pivot to a COVID menu. When it was pointed out that the "regular menu" was available to all diners, you tried to pivot to a "'We’ll make whatever you want' specials menu" for just you. When the absolute absurdness of that notion was pointed out to you, you limped back to the COVID menu. You'll find no refuge there. Once again, you've been exposed as a total fraud.

Some things just aren't worth committing to memory.

In strip-mall pizzerias adjacent to the road is a pretty good guess.

LOL! You were serious about that? Why do you care what I ate? Tell you what, if you want to know so bad, I'll tell you when you post this link to the townhouses "painted in a questionable array of colors" in the Great Forest neighborhood. You never could manage to find that and post it here. Loser.

There are but a few who would stand up and make so big a fool of themselves as that. Some are just accustomed to it, I guess.

LOL! He couldn't even make it to dinner time without resorting to the nonsensical bullshit posts. His post proves that even he knows he's been torched once again here.

He should always remember - when you can't substantiate a claim with anything more than "I said so," you are a liar. When irrefutable evidence shows that you are full of shit, you are a liar. When you have nothing but prevarication and equivocation, you are a liar. When you can't answer a simple question, you are a liar. When you constantly run away from your lies and blunders, you are a coward.

One of us lied about finding townhouses "painted in a questionable array of colors" in the Great Forest neighborhood. It wasn't me.

One of us lied about trees obscuring views of the glass and granite walls of the American Veterans Disabled for Life Memorial. It wasn't me.

One of us has presented unbiased and undisputed photographic evidence to substantiate his claims. It wasn't you.

Why is that? Because you are a lying coward.

That the CMYK street view exists is FACT.
That you have not been able to find it is FACT.
FACT + FACT = FACT
Except in the presence of ignorance, envy, butthurt, and resulting denial.

Dense stands of grasses, weeds, and trees have long obscured views to the west from Washington Avenue. Those have been brutalized in the past 6-8 weeks. You did not know that because you haven’t been there.

What you provide meanwhile fails to go beyond mindless bullshit. It’s your forte.

No evidence besides an "I said so" statement from a liar has been provided. That's because these alleged views do not exist.

You lose.

There’s that knee-jerk dumbfuck denial of simple fact. Can’t stand to be in the company of all that much reality, can you? Dope

I'm awash in reality and you run away from it. Don't believe me? Watch, you'll run away again.
