Well, it looks like we're off on a trip into yet another simply spectacular day out here in the beautiful Sweet Spot that so many local losers can barely even imagine. In other news, MLB has now proposed a 72-game season, but with 20-30% reductions in pro-rated player salaries that were agreed to back in March. This is a bit of a 'deck chairs on the Titanic' ploy, as there is no recognizable reason at all why players would agree to it. Meanwhile, the clock keeps ticking and the animosity keeps growing. This is not what any sensible person would call progress.

No progress at all in the sad state of these collapsed clowns from Falls Church City either, as the disgrace of their dope-in-a-dump status continues to taint the lot of them. Meanwhile EYA/Hoffman -- rebuked in an earlier submission -- has now sent in a revised plan for development of the 9.5 acre plot on which the old high school still sits. The expensive new one should be complete by the end of the year, so the familiar sights, sounds, and smells of demolition should be filling City skies once again rather soon thereafter. This latest proposal is chock full of beautiful adjectives, many of them the same ones as had been included in the first go-around. The City Council will likely begin its review of these new plans in July.

Well, even though I pretty much slept right through the opening act of things this morning, it was still 61 degrees out there early on, thus marking the start of yet another near-perfect day out here in the grand and gorgeous Sweet Spot that has come to serve as home base to quite a cast of wealthy retirees of various backgrounds, faiths, and colors. Once again, we are enjoying this morning one beam after another of beautiful sunshine pouring down from bright blue skies, and again we have low humidity, gentle breezes, and very little chance of rain. Things are just as they were yesterday, and likely will be tomorrow as well. All of us out here are indeed fortunate to be able to live where we do.

We do still have to put up with the blithering idiocy of deranged Presddent Ding Dong though. I note that when the English Premier League returns to play on Wednesday, the name on the back of each jersey will have been replaced with 'Black Lives Matter' and a special patch commemorative of heroic counter-COVID work done by the National Health Service will have been added as well. I wonder what Trumpie the Fat would do if the NFL were to follow suit. The man is just so totally out of touch with the world and its people

In other news, courts ruled Friday that a letter from MLB to the Yankees be unsealed. Plaintiffs (including the Astros, Red Sox, and Draft KIngs players) believe the letter refers to 2017 sign stealing schemes by the Evil Empire that Bozo Bobby was aware of and complicit in. Stay tuned. The latest news on extortion rackets includes MLB's having convinced TBS to up its post-season rights premiums to $350 million or risk seeing those rights migrate over to ESPN. Like Trump, these MLB people are basically just a worthless bunch of crooks.

Not worth much more than that of course are the frauds and phonies of feeble Falls Church City. While much of the recent turmoil over there had seemed to focus on renaming George Mason High School, the School Board has taken up at the same time the notion of renaming Thomas Jefferson Elementary School as well. Both names were assigned back in the 1940's with little attention having been paid to the fact that both men were slave-holders as well as contributors to our founding documents. We'll see which way the School Board decides to take this.

There was no mention of a ballpark in my statement. It was about where I would have been walking to/from when crossing Washington Avenue.

You simply were unaware of a well marked exit and where it leads. That exit happens to be less than a mile from a neighborhood you claimed to have been a resident. The top of the exit also provides nice views of the 12+ foot wall at the west edge of Spirit of Justice Park.

As for overhead signage for Langley, feel free to post one. You might run into a bit of a problem though as signage for the George Bush Center for Intelligence/CIA are not supported by overhead gantries. Rather, they are along the right side of the road in both directions and they say "George Bush Center for Intelligence/CIA Next Right" or "George Bush Center for Intelligence/CIA Next Left" with an "Authorized Vehicles Only" sign beneath each of them. In short, the overhead signage you are whining about being omitted doesn't exist.

There are no "Authorized Vehicles Only" signs next to any of the signage for exit 6 on 395. Your analogy, like nearly everything you attempt is a failure.

Well, we have another wonderful day shaping up out here. 61 degrees when I first got up, tons of sun, low humidity, gentle breezes, barely any chance of rain. Basically, just another flat out beautiful day for the relatively few of us able to enjoy such things out here in the grand and glorious Sweet Spot.

We would ordinarily have held a charity breakfast today, but in light of COVID and associated risks, we cancelled the event some time ago. With outdoor facilities now in play though, we will go ahead and have a late-morning executive meeting, mostly just to get together, and otherwise to discuss strategies for the rest of the year. Hopefully things will be on a path back to something more normal by then, but there remain rather significant possibilities that this will not in fact be the case. We'll have to be on our toes in order to keep on an even keel.

Meanwhile, President Ding Dong and Bozo Bobby Manfred continue their stumbling, fumbling, and bumbling ways like nothing else mattered. These are each Executive Oafs par excellence. Nothing new today over in flat-lined Falls Church City either. Just the same old dopes making utter fools of themselves as usual.

Well, beautiful weather for yrsterday's charity meet-up, and it looks like the Sweet Spot will have only more of the same in store for us today. The meeting ended up being mostly social (everyone had quarantine tales to tell), but various ideas for interim fund-raising were put forward and we may well try out the best of those and see what happens. The bigger concern is what to do going forward in the perhaps likely event that the Second Wave hits and the plague either continues or worsens. Many of our contributors are of course older or have secondary health issues, so asking them to congregate in public implies more than just the inconvenience of coming out. There's not much we can do on that score though but sit back and hope for the best.

Busy rest of the way as well, as some list-driven grocery shopping was called for. The shelves at the Oakton Giant didn't cover us all that well, so a trip into Vienna was called for to finish the job, and since we were there anyway, it was easy enough to put in a carry-out order of delicious goodies from Pazzo Pomodoro. Dinner last night, breakfast this morning, and there are still minor munchies left over for this afternoon. Yum, yum, yum, yum!

Meanwhile, it was a very pleasant 63 degrees outside when I got up today, and once again, the sun was shining, the birds were singing, and all seemed right in the world. We once again have low humidity, gentle breezes, and very low chances of any rain. As was the case yesterday, we should see the mid-70's as our high, so it'll be mostly living room-like conditions out there. Pretty much the same for tomorrow as well. By Saturday though, we could have some storms in the area with temps in the mid-80's. That's significant because the wife now wants to run the length of Washington Avenue once again that day, and it would be disappointing if rains were to blur views of all those grassy area with small healthy trees along the way. Hopefully posting while driving around past places such as DCPD HQ will not again overwhelm FFXU security systems either.

It was meanwhile another deservedly bad day for fading President Ding Ding, as his USSC Appointee #1 penned a strong case for LGBTQ rights in employment. It won't be long before that logic is pushed out into other areas of the law. The arc of the universe, and all that. And thanks to Ding Dong's close relationship with Kim Jong Un, the DPRK yesterday blew up the building housing the inter-Korean liaison office built during the brighter days of 2018. Just another ramp The Loser couldn't actually walk down.

In other news, Bozo Bobby Manfred has now revised his 100% assurance last week that baseball would be played in 2020, saying yesterday that he is now 'not confident' that a season can be played. He is demanding now that the players abandon their right to take legal action against MLB, including the right to file an immediate grievance against the league should Manfred attempt to unilaterally implement MLB's favored 48-game plan. He knows full well that this is a total non-starter for players, and appears now to be engaged solely in delaying tactics in hopes of reaching a point where no more than those 48 games could be played in any case. Such bad faith players are common enough at FFXU, but MLB should really be aiming for higher standards.

High standards were long ago relaxed of course over in sorry-ass Falls Church City. All manner of no-class-at-all liars and losers can be found roaming the streets both there and here. It's kind of disgraceful all in all, but no better can actually be expected from this low-grade lot of saps and simpletons.
