Re: Dollar Tree on Maple Avenue in Vienna is now open!

Back to the future...

1. Like Burning Tree, you have never played a round of golf at Coyote Moon or any other course in the Lake Tahoe area. You have in fact never been to Lake Tahoe. Further, you don't actually do golf and were on that account perplexed by such common terms as 'dogleg' and 'knife'. You proceeded to step in the shit about a simple photo of a dogleg in 2014. Then you did the exact same thing all over again in 2018.

2. You never rode any water-taxi from La Guardia to midtown Manhattan at all, much less on an "almost weekly" basis. No such service under any name had operated for nearly 15 years at the time of your phony claims, those having been just more poorly crafted bullshit based on your low-grade Google skills. And as was the case with Lake Tahoe, you betrayed yourself in knowing none of what an actual frequent traveler to midtown Manhattan would have known about the area.

3. Esca itself is a so-so seafood place that you have also never been to. You came up with it only in a long ago Google search that listed "bay scallops" among the primary search terms. You were attempting at the time to save yourself from a series of clown claims and goober gaffes related to scallops, but you ended only in making matters worse for yourself. And let's forget all about Rockport and Dave Pasternak and simply wonder if you now hold Mario Batali in such high regard as you once did? After all, he was first forced into a $5.25 million settlement with 1,100 of his employees over years worth of tip-skimming scams, and after that? OMG!

4. And as in #1 above, you have repeatedly botched vintages and varietals in trying to pass yourself off as some sort of bon vivant and "wine guy". Available for cheap on the internet, and desperate dashing over to the liquor store to snap a few photos have not been a help to you here.

5. In keeping with the theme of general confusion on your part, you have been nonplussed by far more than just golf terms and US idioms, struggling as well with simple word pairs such as peeled and unpeeled, raveled and unraveled, and shelled and unshelled. You were further set back simply by the use as nouns of such words as deviant and insouciant. What could account for that?

6. Your faked 2016 trip to Florida was of course concocted in an attempt to ease envy and butthurt over my weekend jaunt down to Atlanta to attend the Nats' Opening Day game there. Your own fake photos in that case were mocked by a gallery of my own, each clearly showing me to have been in some different city all across America. What a debacle for you! Glad in the end of course that I was able to get in an MLB game at Turner Field before it closed. And dinner at "Canoe" the night before was indeed excellent.

7. Closer to home, you have never been able to grasp the "sticks out like a sore thumb" fact that a 30-foot cliff exists in the middle of what used to be South Falls Church. Nor that the Karaoke Inn (sic) had been closed for two years by the time you made reference to it. Nor that the building next door had once housed a subs and pizza place. Nor that the shortest actually passable walking or driving route between the Budget Inn and Quarry Inn is a matter of multiple city blocks.

8. Then of course, there is all the dark matter of the Water wars, in which poor little Falls Church City was thoroughly thrashed by giant Fairfax Water. Crushed in court and by the Corps of Engineers, the City side was ultimately forced to settle for what it had previously called pennies-on-the-dollar along with some minor land swaps that amounted to a net gain of about two whole acres. Many single-family properties out toward the Sweet Spot are zoned as large as that.

9. And we can't forget either the ensuing Chicken Wars wherein you foolishly sought to defend the premise that if a particular place serves chicken, it must be a "chicken place." Such folly was of course doomed and quickly came to miserable failure, having been undertaken at all only in a misguided attempt to paper over yet another of the many glaring deficiencies in the so-called 'dining scene' in Falls Church City.

10. Lastly, we must remember that this list actually goes on and on and on, and that the enumeration here of particular crass collapses and failures should not be construed to deny or disparage the existence or importance of a wide array of other such collapses and failures. While being back-burnered at the present time, certainly some of that shameful mess can be expected to come to the fore in the normal course of future business here.

Well golly gee willikers. doesn't the hypocrite try to do the same thing as he proclaims his experiences in "fine dining" at Red Lobster?

Your little rant is suddenly suspect, Gerund boy.

Well, the Big Ten list Blast from the Past at the top of the page has been flat out ignored by some and feverishly pounced upon by others. The logic revealed in that seems apparent, and so to be truthful does the fact that we out here in the fabulous Sweet Spot have a much improved day ahead of us today. True, its. a lowly 37 degrees outside right now, but we are on our way to visiting the high 50's later on, better than anything we saw on Tuesday by about a dozen degrees. Plus we'll have some solid bits of sunshine today rather than suffering through damp and dreary cloudy conditions all day. This will be much better. Looks in fact like we'll be back in the 60's on Thursday and then stay in that range for at least a week. Too bad all this 'social distancing' stuff will still be putting a damper on so many things. Such as the economy. Dumbo Trump says this will all be over very soon, tremendously soon, due to a drug that only he has any faith in. It's all as if the White House were in Falls Church.

In the meantime, the wife has decided to take her turn today at early AM popping over into town to procure delicious breakfast goodies and assorted other supplies and treats. Usually I do that while she sleeps in, but all this shelter-in-place stuff can give you a case of cabin fever, so off she goes today. I look forward to the bounty she will bring with her upon return and also to her first-hand reports from the outside world. Those are always so much more informative than mere pictures.

In other news, things are basically as dead as a doornail out in MLB Land. We should have been at Nats Park today to greet the stadium crew again for a game between the Nats and their minor leaguers, but that's now just another thing washed down the drain. One wonders if the entire tour of the Nats as World Series Champions will not go down the same misbegotten path.

And speaking of misbegotten of course, there is always some travesty or other concerning Falls Church City to talk about, much as it might pain some poor souls to hear about it all. This morning for instance we have learned that another resident of the Kensington Nursing Home has become a confirmed COVID-19 patient. If this sort of thing keeps up, all of Brockmont could soon be quarantined!

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT:

Do NOT flush paper products other than toilet paper down the toilet. Even supposedly flushable wipes are to be avoided. These do not break down in water as toilet paper does. They will lead to clogs in the line from your home to the street, and eventually in the main sewer lines as well. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

The truth is you are a liar and the Google street view links and photographs continue to prove as much. This is true no matter how hard you try to run away from that fact, sissy.

If your assertion was remotely true, you'd be able to provide a Google street view link substantiating any of your bogus claims concerning views "significantly comprised of large grassy areas with small trees" along Washington Avenue.

You haven't because you are a liar.

Run, sissy, RUN!

FIRST listing on page:

"ADORABLE 2BR 2.5BA Tudor style home in sought after Greenway Downs!"

Funny how these homes are claimed to be in the Greenway Downs neighborhood, isn't it? Moron.

Where are all those homes in the Brockmont neighborhood located in Falls Church City you claimed existed? They seem to be missing from this Zillow link. LOL! Dope. They certainly don't come dumber than you.

OH NO! PLEASE FLUSH THAT! It'll help me get rich!

If, however, you want to avoid paying me, you can use the book pages, tissues, napkins & wipes. Just get the plastic bag you get there or CVS, or Harris Teeter & put them in there & tie it off & take it out to the garbage.

I'd prefer you pay me, though. Just understand it might take me a while to get to you, since all your neighbors are flushing it.

It was a trip where you managed to mangle just about every description you attempted. You had no idea whatsoever that 3rd Street, NW passes under the Perkins Building which is the Department of Labor Headquarters. For weeks, you erroneously contended that it passed under the Daly Building which is MPD HQ (you of course used the idiotic DCPD acronym to describe the police). You had no clue that you were passing by the ramp from exit six off of 395 when you went through the second light on these alleged trips down Washington Avenue. Finally, the existence of two large asphalt parking lots immediately to the east of Washington Avenue came as news to you.

But, we don't have to rely on the addled brain of a known liar. You could simply provide a Google street view link substantiating any of your bogus claims concerning views "significantly comprised of large grassy areas with small trees" along Washington Avenue.

You either don't know how to use Google street view, or you are a liar. Pick one.

It doesn't strike you as odd that the listings you are claiming are in this Brockmont neighborhood actually claim to be in the Greenway Downs neighborhood and that they are in the neighborhood with Greenway downs signage? This is your opportunity to look smarter than you've ever looked. You're going to blow it again, aren't you?

There are five deer browsing about in our back yard just now, and each one of them has a more intelligent bearing than you do. The trip that so haunts your sorry ass to this day was meanwhile one that differed from the usual 4th St NE to Tingey St SE approach to Nats Park (that you never understood either) made necessary by some messed up traffic restrictions east of the park imposed by DCPD (nobody who lives in town calls it MPD). I had speculated before the game that we might need to use the just barely reopened 3rd St NW to cut down from Mass Ave to Washington Avenue in order to save some time, and that's exactly how things turned out. Brilliant bit of traffic strateegery by me. The name of the building is of course of no relevance at all -- just the sort of trivial thing that a thoroughly outclassed asshole like you would turn to in despararion. Such a douche. ESPN Zone by the way was in the Thurman Arnold Building. Who'd have thunk it.

There's no such thing as DCPD, dumb fuck, just like there's no such thing as Brockmont. Just more figments of your juvenile imagination. Lotsa people in DC call it MPD. Nobody calls it DCPD. That's been proven to you 1000X, but you're too stupid to get it, DOLT.

There's no such word as "strateegery, Gerund Boy. & you're always lecturing us on grammar. More proof of your stupidity & hypocrisy.

Neither does Google, asshole. The larger point of course being that both Redfin and Zillow -- two large and well-respected organizations focused directly on local real estate matters -- recognize Brockmont, where a worthless, Brine-ignorant, local dumbfuck does not.

But maybe you'd rather hear from Trulia?

Sent another donation off to a Go-Fund-Me for area restaurant workers today. You should too. Also had a very nice carry out dinner from over the river and through the woods at Cafe Renaissance in Vienna, Short ribs, ravioli, fettucine bolognese, a stuffed pepper special, and a couple of Caesar salads. Yum! I'd rather we were able to eat out again, but for the time being, doing it this way is best for us and best for them, so we'll just stick with it for a while.

Re: Dollar Tree on Maple Avenue in Vienna is now open!

Reminder...

GOOD MORNING ONCE AGAIN, FALLS CHURCH CITY!!!

It’s most definitely another day on which the combination of your MISERABLE FAILURE and PATHETIC CHILDISH IMMATURITY will be on full display, as your simply massive levels of IGNORANCE, ENVY, and BUTTHURT drive you hapless, battered losers into more and more behaviors that uncivilized barbarians would be ashamed of. Classless, out-of-gas morons is all that we deal with here -- a sorry lot of tiny but whiny little baby losers who cannot cope with the likes of grassy areas with small trees, with an obvious but unusual feature that they never saw at Brine, and certainly not with any big-boy words such as Redfin, Zillow, or Trulia. Pathetic in every eye, these off-the-rails dopes and dummies are the despised of their world.

It's time for the tee off, starting the fairway at the D Tree! Your kids will love the golf sets of colorful clubs and balls available at the Dollar Tree. The Burning Dollar Tree?!? Each one even comes with a small flagged goal and tee off stand. Sets include 3 golf balls colored in red, blue, and green. clubs measure 18 8nches balls are 1 and a half in. diameter, and the flagged goal is a half foot tall. A great present idea for Christmas, birthdays, retirement, anniversaries, bar Mitzvahs, sewing circle, covers, public executions, St Patty parties, and more.

Well, there's great cause indeed for the emotionally weak and ever misbehaving apes of some truly ugly areas to the east to be ashamed of themselves this morning, but they are not likely to have been the cause of our having another gray and gloomy day on tap out here in the otherwise so heavily favored Sweet Spot. It's currently just 43 degrees outside and we've got but a sample at the moment of the showers and drizzle that are expected to be with us all day today, take a brief break on Thursday, and then return to plague us right on through the weekend. This is some definite shelter-in-place sort of weather, but there has to be some concern that it will serve only to drive a certain already quite imbalanced sort even further around the bend. Lord knows what that might result in.

If it were to result in a continued uptick in wildlife sightings, that at least would be a nice thing. We've certainly seen increases in visitation by representatives of both our local fox and deer populations, so perhaps such will come to be in full seasonal swing before too long. And hopefully there will soon be mass quantities of somethuing other than our expensive bird seed for them to eat!

In other news, MLB has finally agreed to credit players with a full year of service time no matter how many games are actually played in the 2020 season. This clearly was the only equitable thing to do, but concerns over such are not really an MLB habit. See for instance the continuing lack of any service time guaranty in the quite possible case that the 2020 season ends up being cancelled entirely. Billionaires will be billionaires. Meanwhile a BOS minor leaguer has tested positive for COVID-19 a week after he left camp. He left FLA at the same time we did, but aside from being a bit bored and disappointed, we have been fine so far.

While it may have nothing to do with COVID-19, there is nothing about continuously crumbling Falls Church City that has been fine in many decades. The latest failure is evident in reports that the Kensington assisted living center where two COVID-19 cases have been confirmed of late is now running out of supplies. So much for the security provided by those big-bucks private sector buy-ins. In related news, if you go over to Sweetwater Tavern and either buy or refill a growler, you will receive two free rolls of toilet paper. How's that for public service.

I guess these residents and journalists didn't get the memo from our resident fraud that NOBODY who lives in town calls it MPD. LOL!

> I had speculated before the game that we might

And yet, you didn't know the building you passed under while driving on this route. The exact name isn't all that important, but the ability to differentiate between MPD HQ and Department of Labor HQ is pretty indicative of someone familiar with the area. Let's recall you stubbornly and stupidly clung to the notion for many days, perhaps weeks, that 3rd St., NW passes under MPD HQ.

> Brilliant bit of traffic

I'm sure there were better routes.

> The name of the building is of

As noted, the actual name is pretty irrelevant, but which organization is headquartered in the building isn't trivial at all. It is just more evidence that calls into question the veracity of the claims to making this trip, I mean trips. LOL!

Let's couple that blunder with the fact that you had no clue that you were passing by the ramp from exit six off of 395 when you went through the second light on this alleged trip (or was it trips?) down Washington Avenue. Finally, the existence of two large asphalt parking lots immediately to the east of Washington Avenue came as news to you.

Then we had your bogus claims concerning views "significantly comprised of large grassy areas with small trees" along Washington Avenue. Those views, of course, could be easily confirmed If our resident coward would simply provide a Google street view link substantiating his claim.

You either don't know how to use Google street view, or you are a liar. Pick one.

Run, sissy, RUN!

LOL! Your latest link has Brockmont now with homes south of 50. This Brockmont has quite the appetite. Next thing you know, it'll gobble up Sleepy Hollow! LOL!

You don't find it odd that all three of your links - Trulia, Zillow and Redfin - describe the neighborhood in completely different terms as it relates to location? Oh, never mind, a simpleton like you never exhibits any amount of curiosity. Keep it up, your stupidity is good for a laugh.

You should at least TRY to stop making such a total ass of yourself. The trip was made on Oct 25, 26, and 27 prior to Games 3, 4, and 5 of the World Series, that event having been the reason why the dummies at DCPD had made approach to the ballpark from the east so much more difficult than usual. This has all been explained before but has seemingly and repeatedly just slipped your mind.

> In any event, why would a trip where you managed

Only YOU can answer that question, bozo.

> And you wonder why people have their doubts! LOL!

Only the defenseless and completely outclassed have any such doubts. You know, the ones like you who are perpetually overcome by their own massive doses of ignorance, envy, and Brine-ignorant butthurt.

> Here are some locals who live in DC calling it MPD.

Again, my partners and I actually maintained a residence in SEDC for 14 years. We all learned the ropes down there, and like some discouraging word, MPD was a term that never was heard. You of course have never lived in town at all and can only (and very poorly, it turns out) imagine the daily ins and outs of neighborhood life there.

> And yet, you didn't know the building you passed

As someone who repeatedly misspelled the four-letter name of this building, it would appear that the trivial nature of it was apparent to you right up until the time that is suddenly wasn't.

None of them would have involved I-395.

Trivial? It's completely irrelevant. It has no bearing at all on any aspect of the topic of conversation. It might as well have been KAOS HQ, Max.

You're the one on the hook here, El Dopo. You have long and often claimed that Brockmont does not exist at all. But here are three large and reputable realty sites plainly concerning themselves with the place. Your one-time goose is way worse than cooked here, asshole.

And yet, it's used numerous times in print and other media. Strange. The constituents of the Councilman must think he's speaking a foreign language when he uses the term. How on earth do all the others expect their readers to know what they are talking about when they use MPD?

LOL! While I can accurately describe the features of various neighborhoods in precise detail, you mange to only mangle your bungling attempts to do so.

Yes, but I knew it was the MPD HQ just as most people familiar with the area would. You can't say the same.

It's relevant to show you are completely unfamiliar with this alleged route you took and this was just one of the parts you mangled.

Amazingly, you can't substantiate that bogus claim by providing a Google street view link showing them. Strange and cowardly.

Apples and oranges, dope. The only things linking the two are your lies and stupidity.

You are free, however to explain how the links I posted are biased. Better yet, you are free to post your own unbiased links. I wonder if that notion has ever occurred to you. LOL!

Where is this place? It should be easy to point it out if it is as obvious as you claim.

Nobody cares; seriously: nobody. It's boring, very boring which is why nobody cares. People don't care about boring things because they're boring and nobody cares about anything that bores them because it's boring; very boring so nobody cares. Boring places lived in by boring people doing boring things in their boring lives and nobody cares because it's boring and people don't care about boring things because those things bore them so they don't care. In fact, nobody cares; really; seriously; nobody cares; nobody,

Falls Church, sweet spots, Nationals Park, Washington Ave. MPD, DCPD, SEDC it's all boring and nobody cares because people don't care about boring things because boring things bore then and nobody cares about things that bore them because they're boring so nobody cares; really; seriously; nobody cares; nobody.

Seriously; nobody cares; nobody. It's all boring; very boring which is why nobody cares because nobody cares about boringthings because they're boring so nobody cares; really; nobody; actually, nobody cares; nobody; seriously; really; nobody cares.

The only claim is that you cannot answer your own stupid question. This question --

"In any event, why would a trip where you managed to mangle just about every detail haunt me?"

I can't answer that question except perhaps by pointing yet again to your general paranoia and progressive delirium. The rest is all on you, but as with identification of obvious but unusual features at Brine, you are not up to the task.

Hmmm. National Merit Finalist. Woodrow Wilson Fellow. White House Fellow. Award-winning 40-year career in international finance and economics. Polished instead of halting English. Corner offices and conference rooms instead of cubicles. $200K 10/15 equity line instead of a pauper's access to unsecured credit. Beautiful home on a large and magnificent wooded property. The townhome in SEDC. Season tickets and parking at Nats Park. So many Spring Training trips. Dining regularly at the area's best restaurants. Oh, there is a great deal about me that causes you boundless envy and butthurt, and you can't hide the fact. .

From everything you have posted here since 2013, yes, I am as sure that you have never lived in the District as I am that you have never been to Lake Tahoe, never took any water-taxi from LGA to midtown Manhattan, and never went off to Killington with old law school chums.

Hahahaha! You are all but entirely ignorant of the geography and general goings on within just a few hundred yards of what you claim to be your own neighborhood. You have further claimed to see many Generacs around you that are not really there. Parkinson's?

Well, sleeping in can be a good thing I suppose. In any case, I did enjoy doing that today, and can thus report only a temperature of 43 degrees out here in the ever so lovely Sweet Spot when I finally did get up this morning. We had about a quarter inch of rain over the course of yesterday, but we've got quite a lot of sunshine in the works for today with temperatures sitting in the low 60's by late afternoon. Today's trip out to retrieve the morning paper was quite pleasant and only made more so by two of our white-tailed guests suddenly bolting across the back yard, then soaring majestically above the four-foot fence as they made their way down toward the road. A third specimen sauntered along the same path, performing a rather pedestrian jump over that same fence upon finally reaching it. Just as effective in the end, but not nearly so impressive as what his perhaps flightier companions had accomplished. Glad in any case to be seeing the gang more often again.

In other news, we all continue to pay a heavy price for Ding-Dong Trump's failure to heed or even comprehend warnings concerning the coming of COVID-19. Baseball fans must of course additionally bear the burden of an addled Commissioner who informed us yesterday that his investigation into potential sign-stealing violations by the 2018 Red Sox is complete, but he just hasn't had the time to write his final report on the matter. If only he had some huge staff of highly paid assistants or something. And as an apparent subscriber to Trump's "Pack the churches on Easter Sunday" school of medical thinking, he is still talking about a return to baseball by mid-May. That isn't going to happen if common sense has anything to do with things.

In other other news, with the arrival now of what was to have been Opening Day for the 2020 MLB season, everyone's favorite 2019 Nats bullpen experiment, Trevor Rosenthal, was added to the 40-man roster by the Royals on Wednesday in order to keep him from being able to elect free agency. He was quite effective during what there was of Spring Training, but who knows when he will have any chance to show that this was not just a fluke.

Not at all a fluke of course are the ongoing and utterly inane bits and rants coming out of the battered depths of The Inconsequential Little City, a place that has just announced that it will no longer be able to report the confirmation of individual cases of COVID-19 within the City. If you want current info on that, check with the Fairfax County Health Department. They're still doing their jobs.

Trump's an official of the US Gov't. Here, you're saying Gov't officials aren't doing their job.

Here, you're saying FC officials aren't doing their job. So you're saying another reason FC isn't any good is b/c gov't officials don't do their jobs.

But you don't say that about America, even though officials of the US Gov't aren't doing their jobs. Don't you think in order to be consistent, you should be saying about how AMerica is bad, too?

And since you hate America so much, don't you think you should live in a place that hates America, like NK, Cuba, Iran or Venezuela? Don't you think you'd be happier, there? As soon as they allow air travel, again, why not go online & book a ticket to 1 of those places? Then we'll all be happy. You'll be living in a place you like better & we won't have to put up with an America hating jackoff like you.

We are meanwhile paying a steep price today for not having earlier sought a proper balance between the health and economic considerations of our situation. Too many did not consider either one carefully enough, leading to wild and costly policy swings downstream. Told ya so.

This hypocritical DOLT makes every excuse for himself and is quick to point out the same failing in other people. Ifhe does it, it's OK, if anyone else does it, he calls them out. Step 2 is to proceed to deny he ever did it or try to cover it up. As you can see, he fails AGAIN. In fact, FAIL is about all he's capable of. Every dy, he makes an ass of himself on FFXU several times. You just pointed out where he made an ass of himself, AGAIN.

This is why everybody taunts him, nobody believes him and everybody laughs at him and he has alll these trolls tormenting him. I'd say they make an ass out of him too, except this Bozo doesn't need no help getting made into no ass. He does it all by hisself several times a day.

If we are gonna be near water, we'll need to float along while staying cool with the large inflatable novelty sink or swim rings available at the DT. Inflatable swim rings make comfy seats whether you choose to relax while tubing along a river or just keeping cool in the pool. Perfect for lounging in the currents, community pools, and rental properties
