You fucked up.

Own it.

Who knows? Nobody pays that much attention to your lies. After all, you're nothing more than a confirmed liar.

Correct, but you just had to look that up. None of any of this excuses your MPD/DCPD fuck up.

This is quite the effort to distract and attempt to elude the fact that you are completely incompetent when it comes to posting a link to a home for sale or recently sold in the Brockmont neighborhood. No matter how hard you try, you can never escape that failure on your part.

I never got into that argument, you nasty little shithook. In fact, you tried to drag me into it and I declined to get involved. I never took one side or the other in it. No wonder they call you "Dimwit". For my part, I must apologise to third graders for stating that your reading comprehension was third grade level. You reading comprehension is "functionally illiterate".

I did not get into that argument nor will I because I ain't interested. You and all the other people who were arguing about it can keep up the banter or not, for all that I care.

Reading is your FRIEND, Dimwit; too bad that you are functionally illiterate, -eh?

Oh no, Dimwit, I am real. I do not live in the Gulch. I live in D.C. I suppose that given your substandard intelligence, you would think it less embarrassing to get your butt kicked by a sock puppet, so you call me one. In reality, that makes you look even more dumb. Not only can you not make a point when you go up against real posters, but also, you lose to sock puppets and trolls.

Again, it is obvious to even the dullest of dullards, except for yourself, of course, that there is a reason that people call you "Dimwit".

You fuck up a lot like that... pretending to know things that you don't.

You should stop doing that.

You aren't too bright. Why would exposing you as a worthless, lying dumbfuck make me butthurt. It actually brings a smile to my face. Watching you squirm and try to deflect attention away from your massive and numerous blunders is practically the only reason to visit this forum.

Off to Europe. You meanwhile have to contemplate how you can finance your next mundane trip to Florida. In the meatime, see if you can find a home for sale or recently sold in the Brockmont neighborhood. Most betters say you can't.
Toodles, loser!

Well, in the wake of yet another freakishly childish shit-storm that once again included desperate acts of pussy-inspired thread-vandalism as well as more unseemly emissions of noxious gasses from the massive stores of pent-up ignorance, envy, and butthurt that ever plague the usual low-grade louts and losers of Falls Church City (one of whom does not seem to know the difference between 'bettors' and 'betters'), it is still a very nice morning out here in the delicious Sweet Spot. While we keep an eye out for some shower activity expected to pop up here and there later on, the temperature at this point has snuck up only into the low 70's, while breezes have lately picked up and the humidity has tapered off. The result is yet another great day (at the moment) for all of us with the mind and means to live out this way. Others of course can only continue to live the life of a dung beetle.

That missing half of The Principals has meanwhile reported that the repair crew finally did arrive in the early afternoon, and that a capacity to both wash and dry loads of laundry has now been restored. This is a good thing. And unlike the wantonly lying morons abounding around here, these two actually do have upcoming summer travel plans. While it is of course certain that JJ will be delivering fresh seafood to each of their stores each Sunday and holiday morning, it is not at all certain at this point when our next joint dining event will be. It's always great to spend time enjoying fine food together though, so we'll work out something as the opportunity for it arises.

In other news. after Erick Fedde and the rest of his club gave him six solid innings of baseball last night, Dumb Davey came THIS CLOSE to throwing away another win through his hideously maladroit bullpen management. 'He's our closer' is the sort of punch-list caveman crap that should be grounds for firing. Fortunately, Doolittle was just barely able to induce one last pop-up that kept the rest of the roof from collapsing. He should now be unavailable until Friday at the earliest. Meanwhile, we have Joe Ross set to go next against CIN. He's surprised in each of his last two starts, and we'll have to hope that he can do that again. Alex Wood for the Reds was not long ago one of the toughest cookies around. He's been banged up and struggled post-2017, so maybe we can get to him tonight.

Maybe someone will one day get to these vapid Falls Church City fools as well and perhaps even pound some little bit of sense into their ignorant asses. Redfin knows about Brockmont, but none of them does. Luzmary has been serving Bolivian specialties daily while these clowns were just oblivious. One supposedly key Falls Church business after another has been closing its doors for good, and floods continue to dominate local
discourse. We don't see these sorts of problems out this way. We are also familiar enough here with the lessons of Shakespeare to know that DCPD > MPD. We're all just that much better and brighter out here than any of these dopey FCC clowns.

Well, lo and behold, after a night of ominous boom and bluster, it's yet another very fine morning out here in the coveted Sweet Spot. The temperature has just now hit the 70-degreee mark, and if ever, it will be well into the afternoon hours before it hits anything like 85. Mostly sunny out there to this point with some scattered puffy clouds. There are still puddles out on the back patio, and the overnight rains have pushed the humidity up into the 90's, but while less than the usual perfect or awfully close to it, it's still quite pleasant out there. Would have been even more pleasant had I taken a freshly-brewed cup of single-estate Kona out with me to grab the morning paper, but I left that inside. Once again, no visits from any of our recent wildlife friends, so it's just the birds and squirrels and chipmunks providing an animate background to the day.

In other news, Joe Ross added another page to his Cy Young resumé last night, posting a third straight strong start against the Reds that paved the way to a nifty 3-1 Nats victory. Given up for dead by me and many earlier in the year, he has been a little like the ghost of Max Scherzer since the latter hit the shelf. Of course, none of the D'Backs, Giants, or Reds is an offensive juggernaut, but until his final moments on Tuesday, Ross had not given up a run to any of them. This is the sort of stuff that some had envisioned from him back in the days before he got hurt. It's nice to see, both for him and for the ballclub. Hard to believe that Rizzo got both Ross and Trea Turner in exchange for Stephen Souza. Also good to see a healthy Juan Soto whacking away, and that Dumb Davey was finally forced into finding a way to get through the late innings without using Sean Doolittle. He should do that again today.

Max himself meanwhile looked fine in yesterday's 31-pitch simulated game, but more telling will be how his back recovers from that effort today. Still a wait-and-see thing, but there's a good chance he'll get slotted into a road start next week against the Pirates. That will likely mean that Erick Fedde goes back to Double-A, but he's shown well and will be back in September at the latest.

So today, we have a final and 4:05 tilt against the Reds on the card. Stephen Strasburg is slated to go up against Trevor Bauer. Stras has had his struggles in August and Bauer is better than he has recently been given credit for, so this could well be a tough one for the Nats to pull down. We'll in any case be heading out in due time to once again motor across Mass Ave and occupy our reserved in-stadium parking spot and comfy Club Level seats. Hopefully, the Nats will win in a less nerve-racking manner than on Monday and the game will run a bit to the long side, so as to allow the last of rush-hour traffic to get out of our way by the time we head for home. That is my wish, Ray Kinsella. That is my wish.

Meanwhile, there's been nary a peep out of 7FC and the Brockmont-a-phobiacs. He of course has claimed to be off to 'Europe', and perhaps it is the case that virtually all of the sock-puppets had booked passage along with him. What a shock. Most people who were actually going to Europe would of course have been more specific about their destinations -- London, Paris, Rome, the Greek isles -- that sort of thing. And given the vast array of phony trips he's claimed to have taken in the past, it certainly makes one wonder what's really going on. But the world and the tottering Itsy Bitsy City will just go on without him at this point. It's not like he makes any sort of positive contribution to things in any case.

The Bardic point being missed by plodders here is re an author’s liberty to create, and the lack of any place in others to object.

Your poor protest springs simply from being too dumb, too envious, and too butthurt to walk down a road to veracity that has been paved for you with perfect sense and perfectly common elements of English composition.

Thy mindless drivel is the most apt characteristic from which springs thy well deserved appellation, Goodman Dull, although "Goodman" be a mite of a stretch. Nevertheless, let its use be a direct result and oh-so-worthy of my good and proper upbringing, something that would, of necessity, be overly lacking in a Dull.

Well, the passage of another 24 hours has only left those of us wise and able enough to live out here in the Sweet Spot with yet another blue-ribbon morning to enjoy, doubtless as prelude to another blue-ribbon day. Sadly, it must be admitted that the 60's were never given any real chance on the Thursday thermometer, and the visiting humidity brought along a steamer trunk and means, like The Man Who Came to Dinner, to stick around for a while. There are a few welcome puffs of breeze blowing by though, and despite being a bit too close for overall comfort, it's still a pleasant enough atmosphere out there. With little prospect of ever seeing 85 degrees, we should be in fine shape once again today. The wildlife report sadly includes none of our favored friends, but instead a rapacious raccoon using the cover of darkness to take noisy possession of one of the back-patio bird feeders and suck all the delicious seed out of it. Such gluttony is not to be encouraged, but short of cutting off the seed supply altogether once Spring has sprung, there's really not much to do be done about it.

In other news, the Strasburg-Bauer matchup at Nats Park last night was about as advertised through the first four and a half innings. Each side had by that time barely managed to scratch out a single run, but things took a turn when Strasburg himself was able to reach out and poke a soft RBI single to right in the home half of the fifth. A merciless barrage ensued that brought home a total of ten Nats runs in that fateful fifth and then six more before any out had been recorded in the sixth. Consecutive ten-run innings had been a real possibility for a while there, but in the end, we had to settle for a raucous 17-7 victory and a sweep of the 3-game series against the Reds. You just never know what you might see on any given night at the old ballpark. And indeed all that offense did make for a long game that made post-game traffic a breeze. So we gave thanks to Ray Kinsella and stopped off to get a few days worth of our favorite pseudo-Chinese carry-out goodies to celebrate. Yum. The Nats are off today before welcoming the Brewers to town for three games starting Friday night. Max Scherzer believes that he should return to the mound for one of those games rather than waiting until next week in Pittsburgh. We'll see if the Nats' medical staff will do anything but agree.

Always in need of close medical scrutiny of course are the ever-plodding dullards of Falls Church City. So many of these have lately traveled off to 'Europe' though that their voices are much diminished and barely even heard at all. Not sure how they are ever going to cope with a backlog of ten trips to Florida still to be taken yet this year, but no doubt their current continental drift will soon enough be coming to an end such that they can return to making idiots of themselves here on a daily basis. Perhaps in fact by lauding the tiny new 'Mr. Brown's Park' recently opened in downtown FCC, just near the hardware store.

In the meantime, Dominion Energy reports that they have five customers without power this morning in Fairfax County, all of them in the Herndon area. Repairs to damaged lines should be completed by noon.

Ah! and HARK! Goodman Dull hath discovered a new aid for his cyberonanism: The Dictionary most Urbane! Top Work indeed, Goodman Dull and forsooth! Indeed, the Urban Dictionary is so simple that it might confound only the simplest of simpletons, which, of course, thou wouldst be, Sirrah, without at the least a modicum of aid from beyond thy miserable walls. Thou, of wont, would find thyself unable to use the thesaurus, as even the spelling of that word would escape thee. All the same, BRAVO, Goodman Dull, BRAVO, indeed!

Well, for the first time in quite a while, it's an overcast morning out here in the Sweet Spot. True, the temperatures are yet floating around in the low 70's and the breeze is still with us, but these overnight showers keep driving the humidity up to unwelcome levels, and besides, things are not quite the same without the sun and those beautiful blue skies. It is still August of course, so the chance of some afternoon thunderstorms is out there as usual. When they do occur, these of course most often tend to bypass us out here and slam instead into small and shabby, flood-prone villages to the east.

Wildlife-wise, the blue jays are out in force this morning and arguing amongst themselves as they do. Not as bad as when some flock of grackles and starlings stops by, and the jays of course are a lot prettier. Otherwise no deer and no foxes to this point. Just the usual rush-hour-like hordes of squirrels and chipmunks. Not quite nice enough today to go out and sit on the back patio, so the freshly-brewed single-estate Kona and I are gazing out across all this the gorgeous greenery from behind our expansive and well-cooled windows. It's a canvas that recalls the work of many a great painter.

In other news, the Nats were off on Thursday after completing a 3-game sweeps of the Reds. Tonight the Brewers will be in town with Patrick Corbin taking the mound against Adrian Houser. Corbin has been particularly good at home this year, while young Mr. Houser has been kind of up and down everywhere. He hasn't been able to go deep into games very often, but he is a talented kid and the Brewers roll out a tough lineup, so this might be one of those games that Dumb Davey could somehow mess up at some point.

Already messed up beyond belief of course are these medieval -- dare I say Dark Ages -- pretenders from Falls Church City. They failed to see the armies of Redfin approaching disguised as Birnam Wood and are paying now an awful price for that fateful error. Such a sorry spectacle they have made of themselves.

Forsooth, what a stupendous work of fiction, Goodman Dull! I daresay that its one flaw is that it is totally lacking in anything worthy of the credit of any man with even a slightly-below-the-ordinary level of intelligence and perception. Fear not, though, Goodman Dull, the entertainment that it provides is in its obvious lack of even a shred of credibility. BRAVO again, Goodman Dull; BRAVO indeed!!

Well, the curtain is just now being raised on yet another marvelous morning out here in the Sweet Spot where so many wish they could roam but can't. The sun is going to have to cut through a layer of haze as its first order of business though, and the danged humidity just isn't ready to loose its soggy grip. Hence, it's not the first-rate sort of start to a day that we so easily become accustomed to in these parts. It will certainly do for mid-August however, what with a currently seven-degree differential between DCA and HEF coming into play. No wildlife sightings this morning and even the birds are quieter than usual. I suppose some of them might have flown off to 'Europe' or something though.

In other news, Patrick Corbin was only as sharp as he had to be last night, skating past one problem after another in keeping the Nats hopes alive in a right game. And in the bottom of the eighth, the second of Anthony Rendon's two RBI-doubles made it a 2-1 game, with a rested Sean Doolitle then coming along to close the door. So that's a nice win against a tough club on a night when the bats were all but silent. Tip of the hat to Doogie Howser. Tonight we'll see Anibal Sanchez take on Jordan Lyles. Our guy has been very solid over more than a dozen starts since coming off the IL, but their guy has been like a new man since coming over from PIT in a trade last month. Something's gotta give here, and hopefully it will be Lyles. As pretenders won't know, today is Season Plan Holder Appreciation Day, so we'll be heading to the park a little early in order to enjoy the hanging out. It's nothing like 'ZIMS Night at the Park' or anything, but it's usually a fun time anyway.

Not having any fun times at all of course are the badly battered boobs of Falls Church City. Routed from their former FFXU roosts, they flit about now in utter and hopeless chaos and confusion, afraid even to continue posting in English. Understandable in a way, given their legendary problems with that language, but more revelatory I would say of a simple inability to cope with or face up to the sorry-ass situations that they in their ignorance managed to create for themselves. In the end, it's only what might have been expected from them.

Thy fictitious prattle has, of late, Goodman Dull, induced far more than a paucity of ennui among those of us in the know. Thou dost further demonstrate that thou wearest well they name, as there has been presented unto thee repeated information that I dwell not in the community that surroundeth The Church-by-The Falls. Alack-and-well-a-day. as thou dost well earn thy name, Goodman Dull, thou shalt always be found lacking in the smallest of abilities to comprehend such facts.

Well, here it is again, a still humidity-plagued but otherwise superior morning out here in the ever so pleasant Sweet Spot. Nothing to report on the wildlife front once again, but the thermometer is spending time just now in the low 70's, and while there's still a light haze to be burned off out there, the sun shines brightly from a mostly clear blue sky. No rain to watch out for today, but it looks like we might or might not brush up against the 90-degree mark later on, so unless the humidity of a sudden decides to pull out, it won't be much of a good afternoon to be out cutting brush or any such thing. Good thing there's reruns of Cash Cab on the Game Show Network from noon to 5:00. That and a cool drink might be of some interest today after what I think was the first time this year that we've been at Nats Park past midnight.

In a related item, we have further proof now that in the person of Dumb Davey, we have the worst manager in the big leagues, one who can't comprehend even the simple premise that if in desperation, you overwork your closer in the first half of the season, you have to be more and more careful to assure that he gets extra periods of rest over the second half of the season. Seems like an easy enough thing to comprehend, but apparently not for everyone. As had been advised here, we did manage to stay off Doolittle from Monday to Friday, but with a three-run lead in the ninth on Saturday -- a perfect opportunity to turn to recently acquired Daniel Hudson to close things out -- we instead get the drained Doolittle back on the mound yet again. Result? Home run, double, home run, home run, fly to center. Oh sure, we did tie the game in the bottom of the ninth when Trea Turner twice swung at Ball-4 when a walk would have forced in the winning run, but the whole debacle goes back to Dumb Davey and his mindless misuse of the bullpen. Rizzo deals him new cards to play with, but instead he stands pat on the way to losing his shirt. What he should lose next is his job.

So thanks to our thin-ice manager, the game itself ended up sucking kind of badly on various levels, but it had still been fun to sit in on Max Scherzer's sim-game earlier in the day. Those who were keeping track say that the combination of Parra and Gomes saw 64 pitches, and I can note that just one or two of those were struck with any sort of authority at all. Max himself looked comfortable and at ease throughout the hour-long effort despite some unhelpful weather. It was just plain oppressive for the most part down on the DCPD beat yesterday, but Max -- who lives in a Sweet Spot-like area overlooking the Potomac -- seemed to take it all in stride. If things go according to plan from here, he should throw a bullpen on Tuesday and then start against the Pirates on Thursday at beautiful PNC Park, just across the river from the iconic Renaissance Pittsburgh Hotel where we stay when we're in town. Anyway, it will certainly be nice to have Scherzer back in the rotation whenever he gets there, but the number of the club's flubs and stumbles seems this morning like it's exceeded the number that even the return of such a stalwart presence would be able to make up for. Hopefully, I am wrong, but I don't think so.

Wrong at every turn of course are the lower than steerage-class clowns, clods, douches, linguistic losers, and all-caps assholes of dreary old Falls Church City. Despite professed Euro-distractions, it's been quite the display of traditional ignorance, envy, and butthurt that they've continued to put up here, such being the very best that any of them can actually muster. Pity the fools. And their 'girlfriends'.

You keep shitposting this obvious bullshit, Dull, despite your knowing that everyone can tell what bullshit it is.

Game Show Channel and Cash Cab; that is about your level of "intelligence". Perhaps after that, you can take in an episode or two of South Park. As you have the mental and emotional maturity of a third grader and a virtual potty mouth to go with it, you ought to be able to see yourself in more than one of the characters in a television show about potty mouthed elementary school children.

When we consider how few games you have attended, that would be no surprise.

Every time that you shitpost about baseball, Dull, you prove that you merit that name. In case someone forgot to tell you, Dull, Doolittle's job is to come in for the ninth inning when there is a save situation and preserve the win for the pitcher who earned it. He failed miserably at it Saturday. Had you been paying attention this season, it might have occurred to you that Doolittle ain't been quite himself all season. Never, mind, I am giving you too much credit, here, as you know nothing about baseball beyond the basic rules of the game.

No, Dull, there is a discombobulation happening here, similar to what happened to Papelbon in 2016.

If you are not going to post as "Dull" or "Dimwit", which would be better names for you, at least change your posting ID to JP Moronthau.

Well, slept in a little bit longer than usual today after yesterday's long hours of Cash Cab rerun watching. Actually, it was a simple day of rest and recuperation for me after our 32nd game of the season at Nats Park on Saturday turned out to be a long, late, and exhausting one. And while I mostly just took to the couch, the wife and her girlfriend did manage to head over to the jewelry show at the Dulles Expos Center yesterday. Same deal as the gun show, but with a much. much higher class of clientele. Between the two of them, they no doubt spent more on bling in just a few hours than many of you make in a month. We have a special rider on our homeowner's policy just to cover all that stuff. The girls enjoy it though, and we can easily afford it, so who's to say no?

In any case, I'm up and about now only to discover that we are once again working our way through quite a nice morning out here in the much-coveted Sweet Spot. Temps in the mid-70's might be a few degrees too high, but the humidity has fallen to 75% which makes quite a difference. Forecasts for the week show more days like today headed this way. Looks like it's going to be beastly all week to the east and especially down there where DCPD units roam. Just as well the Nats are on the road now, so we can duck-and-cover out here in the outdoor beauty and indoor comfort that our neck of the woods is so justifiably famous for.

In other news, the Curse of Dumb Davey has finally resulted in Sean Doolittle's being placed on the Injured List. Like who didn't see THAT coming! He might make it back when his ten days are up, but as badly mismanaged as his workload was up to now, he may never be back to what he once was. We and he can only wait and hope and see. It's all a blistering critique of Dumb Davey as a manager, no matter how things turn out.

The club was able to bang out some revenge on the Brewers on Sunday though, hammering eight home runs and running off to a 13-0 lead after just three innings, then cruising to a 16-8 final. Doesn't bring back Saturday's needless loss, nor any of the others that Bungle-Boy has mis-managed us into this year, but at least the club will feel a little better heading off to the Steel City.

We've got mercurial Joe Ross lined up to take on Trevor Williams tonight at the North Shore end of the Roberto Clemente Bridge. A year ago at this time, the streaking Williams would have been the easy favorite, but not likely tonight with the way Ross has been throwing. The Bucs are in last place and have not been playing well, so hopefully we can make some hay here while the sun shines. It's still baseball though, so anything can happen.

Not happening at all of course is the event of anyone from the fizzled forces of the Falls Church Foreign Legion making any sense or headway here at all. As always, loser-mania is the order of their day every day, as they continue to fume and fail over even the most mundane of matters. If wallowing in ignorance were an Olympic event, some of these dopes and bozos would be serious contenders.

Took Metro everywhere for many years. But retirement brought the loss of SmartBenefits, and with the end of late-night trains, the lure of in-stadium parking has proved to be too much.

Not at all. For a wealthy retired couple who will attend forty-plus mostly night games over the course of a season, both time and money mitigate toward driving. So did ownership of a townhouse in SEDC until we sold it earlier this year.

Stop being such a loser, and maybe people will stop calling you one. Plenty of other names would fit, after all.

You're always calling people names but call out people when they call you names. You're a hypocrite, a liar and a loser to boot. You show the qualities in your shitposts that you criticize in others. Nobody believes your bullshit, moron.

Everybody knows the best case scenario is you live in a rambler in Vienna or Dunn Loring built in the 50s. What's more likely is what one of these trolls said you live in a combo no tell motel & trailer park on Rt. 1 south of Alex.

Everybody knows what a fake, jerkoff butt wipe you are.

Well, despite temps that are just in the mid-70's at this point, it's a bit on the sticky side this morning out here in the delightful park-like setting known as the Sweet Spot. The sun is shining down from clear blue skies, and there is at least the hint of a gentle breeze blowing out there, but there's still a sad lack of that cool, crisp feeling outside that we so often enjoy out this way to start off the day. Fortunately, there is always freshly-brewed single-estate Kona on hand to make one feel like a king anyway. Signs meanwhile point to another scorcher for the less fortunate inhabitants of cities off to the east. Those living in the dreaded Tripps Run flood plain for instance should be extra worried, as there are increasing chances for showers and thunderstorms over the course of today and into tomorrow.

So we Had a chance yesterday afternoon to meet with our attorneys to go over our estate plans. We were a little overdue on that front, so glad to have finally gotten around to it. Made a few changes to update the revocable trust, but otherwise, things look good. And since we were nearby as the result, we decided to dine afterward at Cafe Deluxe in Tysons. That's always been a pleasant place. Started with the very yummy BLT flatbread, then went with the shrimp gemelli and a side of prosciutto mac & cheese. Decadent! The wife decided on steak-frites cooked rare, and we shared a blueberry crumble for dessert. It was $19 wine day as well, so since two glasses would have been $27, we had a nice though not spectacular bottle of pinot grigio to keep the palate clean.

In other news, the Nats scored four in the first and four more in the second last night on the way to a lop-sided 13-0 pounding of the Pirates. Joe Ross again looked sharp early on, but he was hammered in the shin by a sharp comebacker and had to leave in the fourth. Javy Guerra came on in relief and set down 11 in a row. X-rays were clean for Ross, so he should at least have a shot at making his next start over the weekend. Looks like Max Scherzer will indeed take the hill for the Nats on Thursday, so if Ross were to need more rest, Erick Fedde could fill in for him. In the meantime, Stephen Strasburg will go tonight against one-time All Star Chris Archer. Reality says that the hitters will have to cool down at some point, but hopefully the baseball gods will continue to smile on the Nats in some way or other.

Inducing few smiles but much derisive laughter meanwhile are the hapless bands of butthurt bozos that still stand as the tattered Falls Church Foreign Legion. Reduced again by their endless envy to bouts of petulant imagination and attempts at thread-vandalism, these clowns have nothing but stupid nonsense to say, so they say it. Stupid!

Well, it won't be much of a shock anymore to learn that there's been no wildlife spotted out here in the wondrous Sweet Spot so far this morning, but it is a bit of a surprise to see that the overcast is back, at least in large part. Perhaps some of this will yet burn off, but for now, we do have patches of pale blue going on especially toward the horizons, but what we have mostly is a soft gray sky that allows just a few of those shiny glints around its eastern edges to hint at what's going on with the sun behind the scenes. Some overnight sprinkles have left the humidity high, but who can actually complain about an August morning with the mercury at 69 degrees? Friendly breezes are also in the mix just now, making a recent trip out to fetch the newspaper quite a pleasant one today. Once again, did not take any freshly-brewed single-estate Kona out with me, but I've got some now alright, so it's looking like another great day out this way. Keep an eye out though, all you at-risk easterners! A run of showers and thunderstorms is expected to move into the area and remain with us over much of the rest of the week. Be sure that the sandbags are in good order out there.

So Monday was given over to the lawyers, and Tuesday was for the doctors. Might have made it 'Professionals Week', but like The Principals, our primary financial advisor is currently occupied with the roll-out of some vacation plans, so that bit will have to wait. There was meanwhile plenty of poking and prodding and imaging of vital parts going on yesterday afternoon, all of which has confirmed that the subject systems are in A-1 operating order. So much so that the next such checkup can wait for six months rather than the usual three. There are people who dread going to the doctor (and others who sadly cannot afford it), but it really is something that everyone should try to make a serious commitment to. You don't have much if you don't have your health, and you can't really protect your health without periodic visits to some handy assortment of health care professionals. If you don't have any on your calendar at the moment, go make yourself some appointments today.

In other news, everyone knew that the Nats offense would have to come down to earth at some point, but it didn't really need to evaporate altogether. Anthony Rendon did go 3-for-3 with a clutch RBI double, but the rest of the crew was baffled by an assortment of mostly pedestrian arms brought in by PIT after starter Chris Archer had to leave due to first-inning shoulder discomfort. Should have been easy pickings for us really, but that's baseball, and we ended up saddled with a 4-1 loss while all of ATL, PHI, and NYM won. Strasburg's fantastic seven shutout innings were undone mostly by Wander Suero. Some might want to quibble with Dumb Davey's decision to pull Stras at 94 pitches, but it was the right move. Too bad that Roenis Elias had been allowed to go out and hurt himself though. With Doolittle down, Elias would have been the obvious go-to guy for the eighth inning last night. In any case, the two teams will meet by the three rivers once again this evening. The Nats will send Patrick Corbin out to test the home side with his slider. The Pirates will counter with Joe Musgrove, who's considerable talent has sort of flickered on and off in recent times like a light bulb about to burn out. Hopefully, the bats can bounce back this evening and do at least a little damage against him.

Way more than just a little damage has of course been self-inflicted of late by the no-account array of utter airheads from the Falls Church Foreign Legion. Like characters out of some B-grade slapstick movie, they've fallen out all over the place in making total jerks and dunces of themselves for quite a time now. All this has clearly confirmed the fact that none of them is of any actual intelligence or consequence whatsoever, and that none among the group is ever likely to be either. No doubt we'll see more of their childish, fish-out-of-water, flipping and flopping about the deck as the day goes on though. They just can't help themselves, after all.

Don't say it like that. Say it like this, "The Gay P Moronthau Loser Squad of which I'm Chief. That makes Dim Wit REAL mad & he starts shitposting even stupider bullshit than he usually does. It's pretty hard 2 B any stupider than he usually is, but, he outdoes himself alot. He goes picking fights w/people, gets PWND & just digs the hole more deeper.

So say it like that & watch him turn in2 an even dumber babbling, blubbering idiot than he already is. It's fun 2 watch it! He's even dumber than Gerry.

You really are deluded, aren't you? Either that or you're on drugs. Maybe it's both. WHO THE FUCK would want to be a nasty, bitter, repulsive , disgusting, rude full of bullshit old man who's the sorriest asswipe on FFXU? WHO THE FUCK would want to be so hung up on shitposting to a 20¢ message board he can't even do anything else without pulling out his Obamafone and posting bullshit?

NOt me, man; not me.

No, they just can’t help themselves. Like little children, their ignorance, envy, and blazing butthurt drive them inexorably onward into the depths of dumbness and depravity. They know no recourse at all.

^^^ The blithering childishness just never ends. It's what you can count on from these butthurt and dull-witted dumbos. As noted above, they just can't help themselves.

This dolt calls people childish, but calls people names, just like a child does. He also uses childish adjectives. There's a name for that, it's called "hypocrisy". Of course, this dolt I quoted is illiterate, so he doesn't know what it means. And he thinks people envy him. Nobody wants to be an illiterate hypocritical dolt.

Well, there's been a return now from the usual wake-up walk out to retrieve the morning paper, and I can report that it's a very nice morning out here in the Sweet Spot once again. The sun was a blazing yellow as it peaked up over the horizon and into a waiting blue sky. Temps were just at the 70-degree mark, but there's barely a breeze and the humidity is persisting in the dreadful mid-80's, so it's not perfection that we have here, just very nice. And for the "It's the same everywhere" slowpokes, it's again a 7-degree edge that HEF has this morning over DCA. I almost thought it would be more today, but that's what the numbers say. Looks like our current conditions will be replaced soon by the usual chances of showers and threats of thunderstorms, these to last all the way through tonight and tomorrow. No problem for folks out this way, but no time to be letting your guard down, all you eastern sandbaggers!

Happy to report meanwhile that a still-spotted fawn was seen last night for the first time in a while. Don't know of course that it was one of the two we saw so regularly not all that long ago, but he or she has certainly gotten big in the meantime, easily being ¾ the size of the doe we became quite accustomed to seeing. Typically, the deer cross the property from west to east, but this one was headed in the opposite direction. Nothing to it, I suppose. Just odd enough to seem out of the ordinary.

In other news, Patrick Corbin mixed in more well-placed fastballs last night than usual, but with that slider working as well, he carved up even a reinforced Pirates lineup to a fare thee well. Eight shutout innings on 93 pitches with a mere three hits allowed. Nice work. Though they hit some balls hard early on, the offense added two innings to yesterday's run of frustration before being led by Eaton, Rendon, and finally Asdrubal Cabrera to a 6-run outburst in the third that did away with any lingering suspense in the game. Tacked on five in the late innings and gave one up in the ninth to make it an 11-1 final. Tonight, we have the return of Max Scherzer to the mound. He hasn't been able to take a regular turn since July 6 and he'll be taking on the Pirates' best starter in lefty Steven Brault, so hopefully he's well and rested and set to be his old self.

There's nothing well about it of course, but always their old selves are the childish and hapless dingbats and dumbbells of the ever-faltering Falls Church Foreign Legion. Not content with simply being ridiculed for life by Redfin, Luzmary, and the DCPD, they plod along day after dreary day making nothing but further fools of themselves with their pre-school antics and dull-brained utterings. It's a sorry sight to see, but let's try to remember that they have no self-control, and simply can't help themselves in these matters. Though none at all is needed, we'll be treated to further proof of the point in short order here.
