No need to Google. It is located in the 7100 block of Lee highway. The same block that both the Quarry Inn and the Budget Inn are located. Neither of which, of course, caters to business travelers.

Brockmont, meanwhile, is a neighborhood in Glenmont, CA, which is nowhere near Luzmary. The Brockmont you found on a Google map is commonly referred to as Greenway Downs by people in the know.

Yes, unbeknownst to you all this time, the now oft-mentioned Luzmary is where the old Karaoke Idol was. As you may choose not to remember, that place was closed for two years before you noticed. And of course the building next door was once home to a pizza & subs shop that you never did manage to notice. Fail, fail, fail.

And speaking of failure...

"In the past month, 178 homes have been sold in Falls Church. In addition to houses in Falls Church, there were also 77 condos, 47 townhouses, and 0 multi-family units for sale in Falls Church last month. Popular neighborhoods include East Falls Church, Great Forest, Oakwood, and Brockmont. This map is refreshed with the newest listings in Falls Church every 15 minutes."

Yes. All located in the 7100 block of Lee Highway along with the Budget Inn and the Quarry Inn.

LOL! It's right up there with Jefferson as well. Nobody who lives in the area or knows of the area refers to it as such, Google boy. Too bad your Google skills can't lead you to the obvious fact that JJ McDonnell (not McConnell), located in Elkrifge (not Jessup), does not deliver to anyone on Sundays or holidays.

You've lost all your clothes here, along with your mind and credibility. While you certainly don’t, the pros know that Brockmont is in the Falls Church area. Also that fresh fish is delivered to many area restaurants each and every morning.

LOL! It's called Greenway Downs by anyone with knowledge of the area. Google maps also refers to the area as Jefferson. Only a lying, Google dependent dope would call it Brockmont or Jefferson. The same kind of dope that foolishly claims fresh fish is delivered on Sundays and holidays. The same kind of dope that can't accomplish the oh so simple task of properly ordering or dressing a salad. The same kind of dope that thinks a complimentary breakfast is free. The same kind of dope that thinks a late model, high mileage vehicle is a status symbol. The same kind of dope that thinks fucking up a price per square foot is somehow a typo. The same kind of dope that uses foolish terms like "chicken place" when trying to duck and dodge the facts. The same kind of dope that simply crosses his fingers that he won't lose power. The same kind of dope that doesn't see the obvious benefits of a garage over a shitty carport. The same kind of dope that can't admit that the two hotels on the 7100 block of Lee Highway are on the same block. Gee, that dope sounds an awful lot like you.

Well, I guess 'partly cloudy' would be an appropriate term to describe skies out over the Sweet Spot this morning. There's a good bit of blue up there to be sure, but also prominent are these smallish but still dark grey puffy things gathered about in significant groups. Still the most prominent feature out there just now would be these cool breezes that are ripping along at a fairly good pace. They aren't an unpleasant thing really, but still enough to move the consumption of freshly-brewed single-estate Kona back indoors this morning. Maybe such swift currents will be enough to blow the stench of heavy earth-moving equipment out of Falls Church or something. For all the good that would do.

In other news, the Nats blew an early 3-0 lead last night, but then Anthony Rendon launched a solo shot in the 6th, and Victor Robles followed soon after with a 3-run job that more or less put the victory away. A bullpen that was so much and deservedly maligned earlier in the year has settled down to do a pretty good job of late. Tanner Rainey and Javy Guerra have both done well since they arrived. So the Phils are officially swept, and now the Braves are coming to town for a 3-game set. We'll again be taking that oh-so-familiar trek across Mass Ave to see tonight's matchup. Could be too much to ask for the Nats to keep things rolling as they have been, but you just never know in baseball.

Also never knowing of course is the miserable Falls Church Fail Army. Humiliated now at every turn on the way over to Brockmont, they continue to sink ever further into an abyss of graceless, childish behavior. Such a dismal display. And one that is apt only to continue.

Hmmm. Out of the 225 civic and homeowner associations in Providence District, not a single one is devoted to the neighborhood of Brockmont. Perhaps because nobody refers to it as such. There is however one dedicated to the commonly referred to neighborhood of Greenway Downs.

Of course, the whole purpose of bringing up Brockmont is to distract from the whole Brookmont/Braodmont blunder. That, of course, perpetuated the whole sociopathic compulsive lies about the vital status of the parents, who no doubt actually died from the pure shame of raising such a fucking loser.

Well, just see what's happened! It's another simply fabulous morning out here in the Sweet Spot. Clear blue skies, glorious sunshine, gentle breezes, moderate temperatures, and low humidity. Just what the doctor ordered! And of course without any of the nasty side effects that can plague some unfortunate areas nearby. No, all we Spotters have is this gorgeous natural tableaux backed by a harmonious chorus of twittering cardinals, jays. and other avian denizens of the area. Makes you realize what all the hard work and long hours were about back in the day.

In other news, the Nats managed to prevail in a real nail-biter over the Braves last night by a score of 4-3. The second-stringers in the bullpen did a magnificent job of getting nine outs to protect a 4-3 lead against one of the tougher lineups in the league. Strasburg was a long way from his best in this one, but he did keep it together well enough to get through six respectable innings. Guerra, Sipp, Rosenthal, and Suero took it home clean from there. Fine work by them brought a collective gasp of relief from the crowd as a sliding catch by Victor Robles ended the matter on a definite high note.

All this of course came after we and the rest of the first 25,000 fans in attendance were presented with a FREE Max Scherzer 300 Strikeouts bobblehead. As some just don't get the concept of FREE, it means gratis, at no charge, and without any specific sort of quid pro quo. It's sort of like the free, made-to-order breakfasts that one might receive at certain upscale hotels say somewhere in the Palm Beaches. Anyway, this isn't the greatest bobblehead ever, but it will still have its spot in the local pantheon. And no, we will not be using a magic marker to add a black eye to the brown and blue ones.

In Game-2 of the series tonight, it'll be Anibal Sanchez going up against Mike Foltynewicz. Advantage Braves, but Sanchez has been on an upswing of late, and Folty has had his struggles. We'll just head over there once again to see how this one turns out.

Looks like there will be some hot real estate activity again this weekend over in Brockmont, so we'll be staying away from there on our journey downtown. In addition to Redfin, Zillow and Trulia are each reporting on it, so we'll definitely be keeping clear of all the goings on.

Surprise, surprise! It's another near-perfect morning out here in the Sweet Spot. Might have missed one I suppose, but I didn't detect a single cloud in the sky when I was out earlier. Too impressive to overlook though was the soft warm sunshine once again playing out across well-groomed lawns and gorgeous gardens. All this with temperatures of about 70 deghrees and barely any humidity at all. A local fox came by to check on squirrel-capturing opportunities, but there was no luck to be had on that front while I was out. Past successes will keep her coming back of course, even though I'll not be sharing any cups of freshly-brewed, single-estate Kona with her.

In other news, the Three R's for the Nats last night were Rosenthal, Rainey, and Ross, and they were all terrible in giving away a 4-run lead and setting up an eventual 13-9 loss to the Braves. That's stuff that you just can't do when playing a club you're trying to catch, but the Braves are a playoff quality team here and the Nats evidently still aren't. We now have to send Austin Voth (rhymes with 'both') to the hill on Sunday to contend with Mike Soroka (8-1, 2.12) who is probably ATL's best pitcher at this point. Tough row to hoe.

Nothing at all however in comparison to the row that the Falls Church Fuckups would have to hoe in order to reach respectability. The latest overwhelming onslaughts against them have come from the real estate pros at Redfin, Trulia, and Zillow, a gang that's been currently talking up Brockmont, while uttering not a word about Broadmont. Kind of makes you wonder. In the same sort of way that ignoring the words of principals at area restaurants would make you wonder. It's all rather Trump-like, really. When caught in some unseemly corner or other, simply lie. Then lash out in a clumsy and emotionally unstable sort of way.

Well, here's some sad news. It's only about a 98% perfect morning out here in the Sweet Spot today, as the mercury is up a degree or two from the ideal. That's the only flaw I was able to detect when I was out earlier. Could be a sign of things to come though, as after some rain later on, the next wave is forecast to see highs in the 90's. Luckily, the Sweet Spot tends to stay 7-8 degrees cooler than back in the Tarmac Zone so we ahould be okay. In any case, the freshly-brewed single-estate Kona is just as rich and rewarding as ever, so there's always that. And somewhere out there in deprived-land are 353 Dominion Energy customers who are without power this morning. Good thing we aren't any of them.

In other news, the Nats got rid of Trevor Rosenthal, but that served only to set up Tanner Rainey to blow yesterday's game in the tenth. So we win the opening game against the Braves and then lose two straight. A 6-4 homestand pretty much assures that the upcoming easy stretch in the schedule will not be enough to do us any actual good. The club goes out on the road now until July 2, so we won't be doing any Mass Ave looping past The Monocle or Bluejacket for a while. We'll probably have lunch or dinner with The Principals over that stretch somewhere though. Maybe we'll go to Luzmary or something.

Not invited of course will be any from among the poorly informed and seemingly befuddled main force of the Falls Church Fail Army. Even little capuchin FIFY seems off his game now as the result of recent real estate revelations lauding the hot market over in beautiful Brockmont. LOL!

LOL! They all use the same algorithm utilizing Google maps. Like you, they have no understanding of the real world. Just like you have no understanding of the seafood delivery service or how to properly order or dress a salad. The area is Greenway downs and it is largely set back from route 29 (behind hotels and other various businesses).

I can afford not to live in some outside the beltway hovel propped up by a carport or settle for frozen lobster at Red Lobster. It is simply another price of admission you can't afford. Just like you can't afford my travel budget.

Well, we fortunates out here in the Sweet Spot have made it through a somewhat dark and stormy night only to find one more glorious morning waiting for us on the other side. Temps are sadly up a bit once again, and not likely for the last time, but the rest is right on the money. Even have some water droplets still clinging to the leaves and needles that glisten like tiny jewels when the sunlight strikes them just right. What a wonderful thing to be able to gaze out on while sipping on a cup of freshly-brewed single-estate Kona! But oh the carnage, as those overnight thunder bumpers drove the number of Dominion Energy customers who are without power up to 497 out of 2,628,185. Ouch!

In good news elsewhere, the Nats were off Monday and so didn't lose. They remain one game ahead of the Mets in third place. but now eight games behind the Braves and with eight NL teams now having a better record than we do. Not at all what the doctor had ordered a week and a half ago. Wonder now what the Lerners might try to do in July, the risk being that they will again stop listening to Rizzo and pull another of their nifty 'Fire Dusty' moves. As for us, we did renew our Club Level season-ticket package this week, but I doubt that sales overall are anything approaching brisk.

And as for the shabby remnants of the Falls Church Fail Army, they continue to founder in feeble attempts to wave off the words of Redfin, Zillow, and Trulia, much as they have in the past refused to accept first-hand testimony from The Principals or the words of George Bromley or Roger Berkowitz or DC Eater. Whatever doesn't agree with them in the perversion of their persistent dullard's ignorance, they simply deny. Oh, the incompetence!

There's no monetary charge, but there's certainly a mental health charge that you are clearly suffering from. Your inferiority complex has once again clouded the little judgement you may have possessed at one point. Greenway Downs is a nice starter neighborhood. Many young couples start out there and move over to the city of Falls Church when their financial situations improve. None of them, of course, ever refer to it as Brockmont. It probably explains why their is no Brockmont Neighborhood Association, but there is definitely a Greenway Downs Community Association. It's probably why every local real estate agent correctly refers to it as Greenway Downs and the signage in the community label it as Greenway Downs. It's probably why the park in the community is called Greenway Downs Park.

A know nothing Google boy, however, would be the sort of lying sack of shit to call it Brockmont. It is just another in a long list of failures that seem to accumulate on an hourly basis for you.

Well, it's back to being about a 99% perfect morning out in the Sweet Spot today, as temperatures are still a tad too high but have still backed off by a degree or two from yesterday. All is otherwise smack in the middle of the Goldilocks Zone, though the foxes have not so far been able to keep up with the wellspring of playful young squirrels and chipmunks that have emerged onto the scene and are now busily scurrying and scampering about. In due time, of course.

In other news, it took Max Scherzer until the eighth inning to record his usual 10 strikeouts last night, but that required only 94 pitches, so really not that taxing of an outing for him. The Marlins managed just one run on the night while Juan Soto and Trae Turner helped in putting up half a dozen for the good guys. Thanks to recent failures, we are still 2 games under .500 and 8 games behind the Braves, but at least we didn't dig the hole any deeper yesterday.

That was not at all the case for the tattered remains of the Falls Church Fail Army. Due to massive ignorance of their own locale, they've been steam-rollered of late by the likes of Redfin, Zillow, and Trulia, and their situation has increasingly become simply laughable. Might tactically be a good time for another strategic retreat off to Generic Beach or some such similarly safe locale. There is after all a whole lot of wound-licking needing to be done here.

Can you find a neighborhoods.com page for Brockmont?

Nope. Just like your inability to properly dress or order a salad, your lack of knowledge about Sunday and holiday seafood delivery, your penchant to order a late model high mileage executive sedan, your Uber black bumbling, your inability to recognize two buildings located on the same block and the countless other moronic moments you've endured here, this is yet another colossal failure on your part.

If you could afford to do so, you may want to take your own advice and retreat to a beach, but we all know that is well outside your means. In the meantime, I will not hesitate to mock your outright stupidity.

Wow! A whole $10 breakfast eaten at a time when most normal people are contemplating lunch. While perfectly acceptable to steam, people who are in the know about such things realize that little necks are the best served raw on the half shell. Of course, some people can't quite bring themselves to consume them that way. That usually ends in their teenage years though.

Wealthy retired people tend to heed the tick-tock of a different clock from those still struggling and straining away under the yoke of the work-a-day world. And actually, an 18-count bag of Chincoteague littlenecks runs about $8 at this time of year. Cleaned and steamed them up in a jiffy right here on my own little upscale kitchen. Easy to do if you have any food skills at all. Used the leftover broth as a base for a pot of linguini and clam sauce for dinner. Makes for a double-clammy sort of day. Yum!

LOL! There's a time and place for oysters. You seem not to know when that might be. Sort of like when scallop season might end.

No, it's just what I had today. Maybe tomorrow I'll make up a batch of Cream of Wheat. That's good stuff too.

You're a dope. The Town Car has long been a personal favorite of mine and was chosen by me from the stable of an Executive Car Service to support the rather hectic back-and forth schedule of a quick 2016 trip to Atlanta to attend the Braves Opening Day against the Nats. The trip went off perfectly, including a delectable dinner at Canoe.

"Tucked away along the peaceful banks of the Chattahoochee River, yet conveniently located in the Atlanta community of Vinings lies one of the country’s most acclaimed restaurants."

Ever been there?

Meanwhile the clams that have upset you so were a tasty but simple Tuesday morning breakfast, and while anyone could, I don't order dressing on the side. I am perfectly content to let the back of the house serve a salad as it has been designed.

Well, it's another one of those 98% perfect mornings out here in the Sweet Spot, as summertime temperatures are continuing to push into the area. It's still that magical 7 or 8 degrees cooler out this way than back in the Hot Box, but I do still prefer those cool, crisp, refreshing mornings of only a week or so ago. Still, the freshly-brewed single-estate Kona is beyond compare, and the views out the large expanse of windows are as lush and green as ever, so there is much to be thankful for still.

In other news, the Nats bullpen came frighteningly close to letting a 7-1 lead over the Marlins slip away last night. Doolittle came on to give up a fly ball three-run triple, but he then fanned the next guy to seal a 7-5 win. We've got Strasburg set now to go for a series sweep, and then it's on to Detroit, where some are hoping to see Ryan Zimmerman serving as DH. I don't think he's 100% yet, so I hope he takes it easy.

Always functioning at less than 100% of course are the associated nerds of the Falls Church Fail Army, a bunch of clumsy, clownish landlubbers who cannot abide a far wealthier person indulging in more oceany goodness by cooking up a bucket of steamers for a mid-day breakfast. Raised by heavy earth-moving machinery, these louts have no grasp of the finer things at all.

And speaking of the finer things, it's looking like our next meet-up with The Principals might be as soon as Monday. As things are rarely certain in restaurant world, the schedule could certainly still change, but we'll see if we can decide on a destination anyway. It will certainly be nowhere in Falls Church City as there basically ISN'T anywhere in Falls Church City. Had been thinking of Tim Ma's American Son down at the Eaton Hotel in DC, but the consensus is that after The Salt Line, we'll need a place a little closer to home. Back to the drawing board.

And now it's off to the District for a little bit of business.

And, it's long been noted that it was an ill informed choice as it would have been a late model, high mileage piece of shit to pick on your make believe trip. No discerning customer would pick one. Let's just say it's for the Red Lobster type of folks.

Unlike you, yes. As it has been noted before, it is a fine place, but hardly the exclusive and opulent place you are making it out to be. Most customers there, however, would scoff upon your arrival in a late model, high mileage piece of shit.

It requires no wealth or status to eat a meal at it's proper time or to call it what it is. There are plenty of people on welfare who don't eat their first meal until lunch time. They just aren't dumb enough to call it breakfast particularly when it isn't a traditional breakfast food.

Well, things out here in the Sweet Spot are a tad better today than what they were yesterday, but not quite up to the standards of say a week ago. So maybe we'll call it a 98.5% perfect morning and let it go at that. It was certainly a long way short of that downtown while we were there on morning business yesterday, as in fact it was way too close to being hot as hell. We were very glad to be able to breeze back out this way afterward and enjoy the cool over the rest of the afternoon.

Those storms last night however left a horrifying 607 Dominion Energy customer without power this morning, and worse yet, they knocked Cooper's Hawk off the grid last night just as appetizers were being polished off. The lights flickered a couple of times, and then -- poof -- it was all over. The Sweet Spot of course came through it all unscathed.

As for today, had what some among the narrow-minded might call a more traditional breakfast a little while ago -- pink grapefruit slices, bacon, ham, four scrambled eggs, a sweet roll, and of course a cup of freshly-brewed single-estate Kona. I do find breakfast meats to be a particularly tasty thing. I might turn to some sausage and scrapple later on for lunch, if I decide at some point to have lunch that is. Unlike some, I don't see myself as tied to some institutional timetable when it comes to taking my meals.

In other news, the Nats hung on again last night to sink The Fish by a final of 8-5. Strasburg struggled through an improbable 3-run rally against him in the third but settled in nicely after that, allowing the offense to come up with two homers and a five-spot in the top of the sixth. The Nats bashed four HR's on the night in what is still a tough park to hit the ball out of. And so a club that was 19-31 not so long ago has now climbed back to even at 40-40, and they have a weekend series with a not very good Detroit club in which to try to move higher still. Likelihood of it all doing any actual good in the long tun is still quite low however. A brief spark last summer caused ownership to nix a trade of Harper to Houston for useful pieces, and hopefully that costly history is not repeating itself here.

But speaking of repeats, we certainly are seeing one in this recent spate of boorishly outlandish and abysmal behavior by the toasted minions of the Falls Church Fail Army. The desperation of their disarray is fairly palpable in the crude and nonsensical rubbish that they have been posting of late. Call it all a pile of burning envy and butthurt, as that is exactly what it is.

LOL! the fact that you think a mundane trip to FL somehow puts you in a position of superiority indicates how inferior you actually are. I've been there four times this year. By years end, it might be in the double digits. Of course, that will be in addition to the European jaunt. All of which make you seethe with more envy.

LOL! No need to perform image searches. Just as the sun will rise tomorrow, you will be a confirmed liar. Lying about the vital status of one's parents, of course, is the sign of a truly depraved individual.

Four scrambled eggs on top of ham AND bacon? Is it any wonder you're too impotent to manage a round of golf?

Like many such trips before it, the trip so deftly chronicled in the early pages of this thread was a trip to Nats Spring Training. And you were quite easily lured into the thread at the time with only minimal amounts of taunting. Much more of that has been administered since of course.

> I've been there four times this year. By years end, it
> might be in the double digits.

As has been noted, I spent a significant part of my own Wonder Years in Vero Beach. Hence, I have a keen understanding of the fact that Florida is a flat, soggy, and roach-infested hell-hole that is once a year redeemed by six weeks worth of Spring Training baseball. Except for the one-time obligation to drag kiddies off to Disney World, there is very little if any reason to go there at any other time of year. I can only feel sorry for you re the sad situation that you suggest above.

> Of course, that will be in addition to the European jaunt.

Actually, it was the sweet roll you should have seized upon. Pretty much just an empty-calorie indulgence there. No surprise that you're too dumb to have had a handle on any of that either. Haven't had breakfast yet today. We'll see what happens on that front as time goes by. Finished off the pot of scrumptious linguini with clam sauce yesterday, so it won't be that.

Well, time marches on, yet the mornings out here in the Sweet Spot continue to score at levels of 98% perfect and above. Even before I was able to make a pot of freshly-brewed single-estate Kona this morning, a doe and two fawns scampered off as I made my way out to retrieve the newspaper. Deer of course are quite a common sight in the Sweet Spot, but it was an unexpected and rather tender Bambi-moment on which to start off the day. The forecast meanwhile is calling for another sizzler in the Hot Box, so remember to hydrate properly, all you soon-to-be sufferers back there.

In other news, the Nats showed that they can just as easily prevail in low-scoring games as in slug-fests, as behind the somehow still baffling Anibal Sanchez, they were able to pick up a 3-1 win over the limping Tigers last night. Both teams are kind of flipping the bird at FOX Sports later today, as the Nats will start Austin Voth while the Bengals will turn to equally unknown Gregory Soto. Tough to handicap that sort of matchup. Both hurlers are actually capable of throwing well, it's just that they usually don't. We'll have to wait and see how this one goes, but hopefully the Nats bats will get the measure of the opponent first.

No such suspense of course when it comes to the ragamuffin Falls Church Fail Army. They've just been Brocknmonted into one hopeless corner after another. With tales of another date with The Principals looming sometime soon, the only question may be over how low the losers might feel forced to go in their doomed attempts to save face. It's all a bit like watching a Mack Sennett film!

LOL! From what they post on their websites, not the good folks or the real estate agents who work at the likes of Redfin, Zillow, or Trulia.

^^^ From Redfin.com

YOUR claim meanwhile is...

"Brockmont, meanwhile, is a neighborhood in Glenmont, CA, which is nowhere near Luzmary."

You are just so totally fucked up.

Well, there's been a bit of a trade-off out here in the Sweet Spot this morning, as we've gained a few precious points on declining temperature, but given back a few on some increasing humidity. Also swapped out are yesterday's deer, replaced this morning by a raccoon standing up and staring at me as I went out to pick up the paper. Some say raccoons are cute, but they can't at all compare to a doe and her fawns, so that's a net loss there. A couple of blue jays were dive-bombing the raccoon though, so I wish them well.

The forecast calls for temperatures to continue to ease a bit, even back in the Hot Box, so maybe some among the aggrieved of the past few days will be seeing some relief. I suppose that heavy earth-moving machinery will be back to belching out awful sounds and smells as the work week resumes for some. We of course won't have any of that out here.

In other news, the battle of the unknown hurlers in Detroit last night saw neither starting pitcher throw well as usual, but what had of late been a reasonably reliable Nats bullpen fell apart over the middle innings, as leads of 3-0 and 5-3 were converted into a 7-5 loss. The plan should still be to ride out the season as is, thus staying under the luxury tax cap for the rest of the year. But no one knows if the Lerners can be as sensible as that. Meanwhile, we have Max Sherzer versus Jordan Zimmermann on tap today. The one-time Tiger against the one-time Nat. I'll be rooting for J-Zimm to have an off day.

And speaking of off, there is no evidence of any sense at all over at the high command of the Falls Church Fail Army. Stung by fallout from recent humiliations, they have now resorted to dredging up the ghosts of ghastly humiliations past. What a sorry sight!

But it's looking more and more like that next meet-up with The Principals will manage to hold its place on the calendar. No final word on that yet or on where we might go, though both Luzmary and American Son do appear to be out of the running now. We'll let that debate percolate a little while longer and come to some decision shortly. It's of course always possible that some mystical remote-viewer might beat me to the punch, but I'll try to post any juicy details after the fact.

Well, the calendar turns, and still the mornings are just brilliant out here in the Sweet Spot. As NWS had forecast, temperatures have fallen back by several degrees and the humidity has taken a tumble as well. It's got to be at least 99% perfect out there today. No especially notable wildlife sightings on the trip out and back to get the newspaper, but I am glad to be able to report that the doe and her two fawns paid us a return visit yesterday afternoon. She even paused in a patch of sunlight to allow the fawns some time to suckle. This was not 15 feet from where I was sitting on the other side of one of the picture windows. It was the sort of thing you might see on 'Secret Life of the Zoo' or some such, except much more up close and personal. Pretty special, actually. I mean it's not like you're going to see some baby bulldozer sucking down diesel fuel from Mama Dozer back in the Tarmac Zone. You've got to get out this way to come face-to-face with be that sort of inspiration.

In other news. the match-up of well-known pitchers turned out well for the Nats yesterday. Jordan Zimmermann allowed just one run and pitched quite effectively over six innings, pretty much completing his return from injury. Max Scherzer was just a tad bit better though. He did allow a game-tying solo homer in the bottom of the 7th, but fanned the side in the 8th after All-Star Anthony Rendon had led off the top half with a lead-restoring solo bop of his own. That left Max with 14 K's on the day. Sean Doolittle introduced some drama by allowing a hit and a walk in the bottom of the 9th, but he got the weak contact he needed to close out his 100th career save and a nifty 2-1 win for the good guys. They're off today, then have three at home with each of the Marlins and Royals to take us up to the All Star break. We'll be at half of those, having decided to go ahead and endure the early rising and traffic associated with an 11:00 start on July 4.

Before that though, we'll be joining in the next delightful dining-out experience with The Principals. The now all but certain final decision on where to go has been made, but I won't reveal the selection just yet, as we should not wish to risk having unwanted company from the sort of psychotic, envy-and-butthurt-driven, clownfish who swim about in these waters.

Speaking of which, there has been a bit of a lull in communications from the Falls Church Fail Army just recently. I suppose they might have decamped for yet another phony bivouac of some sort or other, or perhaps the simple fact that all their tissue-paper defenses have been shredded into ribbons has once more driven them off into hiding for a while. Either way, their goose has been cooked and eaten yet again, and they'll need to go to the grocery store now in order to procure a new one.

Can you find a neighborhoods.com page for Brockmont?

Nope. Once again for deaf ears, parents are each long dead and buried in New Jersey. No plans for exhumation. And I of course live in quite a deluxe home on quite a large and beautiful lot out in the Sweet Spot, an area that (for obvious reasons) has not been defined precisely, but certainly well enough for the purposes of this forum -- many of which involve making you look stupid in one way or another.

You lie about everything in any case, this in vain hopes merely of keeping up with the Joneses. We are long past any point where you might have had any hope at all of being able to keep up with the Morgenthaus.

> Had you just admitted you brain farted when trying

The take-away here is that you had NEVER HEARD of either Brookmont or Brockmont until external sources came along to explain them to you. Redfin, in the more recent case. You are so disconnected from local reality that a 30-foot cliff escapes your attention; you have no idea what used to be in the space now occupied by The Four P's; and TWO YEARS can transpire before you realize either that Karaoke Idol had closed or that Luzmary had opened. And in each of those cases as well, you had to be told the news by others. Such a sharpie!

What a hoot! You continue to make an mockery of yourself for having misconstrued a simple English sentence.

You know nothing of the matter beyond the scant few words you found on a public-facing webpage. As I am regularly in such company, I know what multiple big-time professional food service people know. This includes the sorts of hours at which the trucks from JJ's roll in on Sunday and holiday mornings.

> ...your penchant to order a late model high mileage executive sedan...

As you seem not to know, Executive Car Services keep their vehicles of whatever vintage in gleaming, tip-top shape. It is your simple inexperience with such things that betrays you here.

(By the way, the word 'penchant' is typically used with the word 'for', not 'to'.)

Pfft! Uber Black was a check-box option within an app that was once on my phone. Having sold our SE DC home earlier this year, there is no longer any use for it.

Well, I'm feeling just a little depressed here as this has been a second day in a row that has been devoid of any sort of notable wildlife adventure during my trek out and back to pick up the newspaper. Just the usual chirping birds and hungry squirrels and chipmunks scurrying back and forth on an as usual 99% perfect Sweet Spot morning. My wife would want me to report though that the birds do include at least one towhee. She has reported seeing towhees for a couple of weeks now, but as they had previously visited only during significant snowfalls, I had some doubts as to whether she had seen things correctly. But there I was Sunday afternoon changing the kitty litter when at least one and more likely two towhees were plainly visible just outside the glass doors that open out onto the back patio. Not sure what could have brought them here in July, but here they definitely are.

The Nats of course were off on Monday after wrapping up their 5-1 road trip. They'll go at it again at 7:05 tonight against the Marlins with Patrick Corbin on the hill. He's really tough when he's on his game. The Fish will again throw vaguely promising Zac Gallen at us. He was okay last time, so hopefully he'll be off his game this time around. Either way, we'll be traveling across Mass Ave and then down 4th Street to our Club Level seats at the park. Show runner Sergio failed to deliver on his promise to roll out a new menu for the last homestand. We'll see if he is able to make amends tonight.

And of course, we and The Principals did get together for our latest round of conviviality yesterday as planned. At their choosing this time, we met up at Ciao Osteria in Centreville. The Principals are acquainted with both the head chef and former airline pilot owner at Ciao, so they wanted to take us over. It's not exactly the Bull & Bear (more like Pazzo Pomodoro), but the food and service were great. Conspicuous consumption of fresh, oceany oysters once again occurred, along with one order of Oysters Rockefeller, which I hadn't had in a while. The bone marrow was also quite good, edging out the gnocchi in carbonara sauce by a bit. There was also a chef's special offering of fried spinach. Not something I'd had before, but it was quite good. Leaf spinach dunked in balsamic vinegar, then lightly floured, deep-fried, and served with shaved parmesan on top. Crunchy yumminess. A pizza, two veal dishes, and more fresh oysters came along as main courses, all topped off with house-made gelato, a slice of better than very good cheesecake, and coffee. With tip and a large carafe of house pinot grigio, that came to about $400. More than worth it, and the four of us will look to meet up again in a couple of weeks. There was some talk of heading over to Patsy's at Tysons this time. The Principals have both been there already, but we have not. We'll see how that works out as things firm up.

Lots of people live in McLean. In one of your countless lies, you claimed to live there as well. Again, probably because of the shame you feel for living in your true abode.

Brookmont is a place in Maryland that you foolishly confused with Broadmont. Brockmont, is a place that appears on Google maps. However, that is the only place it appears. The residents of that neighborhood, every real estate agent who has or had a listing in that neighborhood and everyone else with even minimal knowledge of the area consistently and regularly refer to it as Greenway Downs. Of course, a total dope who can only rely on Google for such matters thinks differently.

I noticed you ducked the challenge like a little bitch, so I will post it again. Post a link to a home for sale or recently sold in your beloved Brockmont neighborhood. If it's such a hot neighborhood, it shouldn't be hard to find, even for an invalid like you.

First, there is a difference between late model and vintage. Your precious Town Car was late model. Second, no matter how well maintained, a late model, high mileage car does not qualify as a suitable executive sedan. It is why it was found unacceptable for Uber Black in every market at the time of your fabricated trip. You are just too dumb to fake being a big shot. All you do when you try is reveal yourself to be a little shit.

I lived in McLean for several years after a brief wise-up period made abundantly clear to me the necessity and importance of moving the hell out of fast-fading Falls Church City. This was now 40+ years ago.

> Again, probably because of the shame you feel for living

LOL! We designed and built this place and I am still amazed by it every day! I pinch myself that we somehow managed to get so very much right, even down to tiny details such as what sorts of inlaid wood to use in the surround for the dining room stained-glass built-in. It's just amazing.

You merely imagine and then cling to such things -- out of a desperate and craven necessity. This is the same depraved engine that drives your pathetic remote-viewing claims.

Thin gruel indeed. Your regularly posted bouts with severe envy and butthurt badly betray you here. The just plain stupid stuff sometimes too. The top-tier facts here are that you cannot afford to live where I live, do what I do, or dine where I dine.

Broadmont is a cramped and dusty nothing-burg that no one who doesn't already live in that vicinity has ever heard of. Speaking of which and as noted above, you had never heard of either Brookmont or Brockmont (which you previously claimed was in California) until exogenous forces came along to rub their existence in your ignorant face. Now, you will have to live with knowledge of their existence over all the rest of your most probably pitiful days.

> Of course, a total dope who can only rely on Google

Despite your feeble deflections, I am not at all the one to take issue with here. It's the folks at Redfin et al. that you need to be dealing with. It is they who are the source of all your anguish.

See the note above, dumbo. I have no actual stake in any of the '-monts' at all. I merely posted text concerning a 'hot' housing market in Brockmont from pages posted by the real estate professionals at the Redfin website. You are again talking for no good reason to entirely the wrong person. More evidence of your dark and desperate dopiness.

LOL! If it weren't for typos, a very significant portion of your posting history at this site would never have come into being. A fumbling maladroit at so much else, typos are a central element of your very existence here.

> Wow, it's almost like they took your dining experience
> and told the rest of the world what not to do.

I'll just laugh and point out once again the rather obvious fact that I have vastly more and deeper experience at and with better restaurants than you do. You are an inchoate dope who can't manage to appreciate scallops with coconut risotto.

As for your low-grade link, while it can at times come that way, I do not order salad dressing on the side. It was indeed I who had to advise you in your clumsily garbled misunderstanding of ordinary English to do the same and simply trust that staff at any decent eatery will know far better than some priggish chump like you how best to prepare and serve the salad and other dishes that they have designed and prepared for you.

It would meanwhile be rare that I would order the same meal as someone else at the table, as orders are typically discussed and even debated before ordering. This of course would not preclude duplication of orders in the event of more than one person being committed to a particular dish.

Simply as a sentient being, I would not hesitate at any reputable place to order a chicken dish or one of the chef's specials. Contrary to your much lower than pedestrian understandings, trained culinary professionals work quite hard at their craft and take pride in what they produce. Worries that they may be pushing the cheap shit, or dumping last night's leftovers off on you come from your own inadequacies, not from those of any reputable dining establishment. Your 'dining desert' city may not be of very much help with this sort of thing, but you should learn to stay out of low-class, all-you-can-eat, hash-houses.

> LOL! You don't even know the proper name of JJs
> or where it is located. You can't walk those fuck
> ups back, pops.

LOL! Another typo combined with a complete irrelevancy. Your stock and trade once again on display. Stock and trade would of course also refer to JJ's delivery of fresh seafood to many of its area customers each Sunday and holiday morning.

> First, there is a difference between late model and vintage.

You have a very bad history when it comes to varietals and vintages. The facts that you may never have had a chance to come face to face with here would include that Executive Car Services depend heavily on high levels of satisfaction among their much-wealthier-than-you clientele, and that they therefore go to considerable lengths to keep all of the vehicles in their fleets in as close to pristine condition as they possibly can. A Lincoln Town Car has meanwhile long been a personal favorite of mine in such circumstances as those prevailing in the 2016 Atlanta trip, and I was certainly not disappointed in any way by what we were driven around in at that time.

> Second, no matter how well maintained, a late model, high
> mileage car does not qualify as a suitable executive sedan.

It did in my own estimation and in the estimation of the rather upscale Atlanta service that I chose to retain. The opinions of others on the matter are simply not germane in the slightest. And as usual, you have no basis at all for such wild and beyond butthurt claims as you make.

> Once more, post a link to a home for sale or recently sold

Once more, you're in way over your head, Broken-Record-Boy. Go talk to Redfin. Once they have hung up on you as some sort of crank-caller, go try Zillow or Trulia.

Hmmm. Chuggers are basically just brutish boors who insult the brew-master's art. Not that any great deal of the self-styled, small-batch, IPA craft-crap that's brewed lately around these parts would deserve much more. But while owned by the corrupt house of Anheuser Busch, Stella Artois is still a Belgian pilsner, not an American lager. Sometimes it does fit the bill, which is ever so much more than can ever be said for you.

You would have lost that bet of course. But don't fret too much, as this would have been due mostly to the rain delay at last night's game having introduced cascades of delay into succeeding schedules.

Well, there's not a whole lot that I can say about the glorious morning out here in the Sweet Spot today, as circumstances from last night led to my sleeping through most of it. This is unusual as I tend to be an early riser, but the 8:00 PM-ish storms that did nothing of any consequence at all out this way did bring about a 76-minute rain delay down at the ballyard. They also seem to have left 2,373 Dominion customers without power still today. Too bad so few of those are apt to be in the market for a used Generac.

In other news, Patrick Corbin was able to deal most admirably with the shock and emotion of having lost his close friend (Tyler Skaggs) at the age of 27 on Monday. Corbin threw three pretty solid innings before the rain delay, then came back to throw four even better ones after. That's not a performance that you're going to see every day. He departed with a 2-1 lead, but Wander Suero sadly coughed up a run in the eighth to cost him the W. Then after Sean Doolittle's near Immaculate Inning got us to the bottom of the ninth, it was the usually slow-footed Yan Gomes who came full-speed racing around the bases all the way from first on a line shot two-out double up the off-field alley by Trae Turner, and the Nats were sudden 3-2 walk-off winners. Nope, nothing beats fun at the old ballpark.

Having no fun at all meanwhile was the badly Brockmonted officer corps of the sad-sack Falls Church Fail Army. Hampered as always by strong headwinds of devastating envy and butthurt brought on by the latest meet-up with The Principals and assorted other failures, they've just struggled to find any way to move forward at all. It's almost cruel just to sit here and beat up on them at this point, but that's what I'm going to do anyway. LOL!

Your precious time-stamps suggest that I actually 'waited' until after 2:00 PM, an hour that you never mentioned. How do you explain it. No, although water.org is a very worthwhile cause. You should send them a dollar, or some bits of change that you could more easily afford.

Perhaps you’ve not been to Nats Park for a while. Anheuser Busch runs the show here now with Stella often being the best of bad situation. Went with a Bloody Mary and some Huevos Rancheros this morning though. Beer later on maybe.

You continue to fail to post a link to a home for sale or recently sold in the Brockmont neighborhood. If it's such a hot neighborhood, it shouldn't be hard to find, even for an invalid like you.

LOL! Your English positively sucks. As for beer, you can’t order a draft that’s not on tap. Even a freakish dolt would have known that.

Even for Falls Church, that’s pretty dumb. Sitting in the BUDWEISER Brewhouse after picking up that Adam Eaton bobblehead the other night. They’ve got Mambo Sauce in there alright, but Stella is pretty much the best of a bad beer situation. Presumably even some dope from backwater Broadmont is not going to go walking halfway around the ballpark looking for a beer. What we have here is pretty much another case of something that you’re just plain NO GOOD at.

Hmmmm. Seems like Stella would be the last best choice.

Well, no time for the usual AM Update yesterday, as we were scrambling from very early on to get up, get ready, and get out the door for the trip over to Nats Park and yesterday's 11:00 AM start against the Marlins. With street closures, we navigated the Northwest Passage down to the ballpark, arriving in plenty of time to enjoy selections from the special brunch menu that show-runner Sergio had put up for the day. It was quite tasty. Sergio himself will be leaving us after Sunday's game to become Food Services Director over at Audi Field. Taking over in the outfield will be Mike from the Diamond Club, who is also a GAR veteran. As he'll be sitting in with Sergio at Saturday's game, we'll hope to meet him then.

Under other circumstances, I could have reported yesterday as well a post-dawn close encounter with a pair of kit foxes out on the roam without Mom for perhaps the first time in their young lives. Lithe and bouncy little beings. but the most their unhoned hunting skills could land them was some spilled seed under the four back patio bird feeders. They seemed quite happy about that though, as did the doves, squirrels, and chipmunks once the canids had frolicked off.

Speaking of visitors though, The Principals might want me to note here that one of them had Dr. Ben Warren from Grey's Anatomy stop in with his wife for dinner the other night. These sorts of things do happen when you run an upscale eatery in this area. It's not just that you get delivery of fresh seafood from JJ's every Sunday and holiday morning. There's more.

In other news, the Nats pulled victories out of the fire in each of their last two games. Extra effort first from Sean Doolittle and then Fernando Rodney successfully protected well-earned wins for both Steven Strasburg and Anibal Sanchez. Interestingly, Strasburg was able to complete the rare Immaculate Inning that Doolittle had come so close to the night before. These happy results helped to complete another sweep of The Fish, thus keeping the local team's ball rolling. Now the Royals come to town for three games that will take us up to the All Star Break. People tend to pooh-pooh the KC side, but they are a tough club and we'll have to work hard against them.

Also hard of late of course has been reading through all this baleful bleating from the Falls Church Fail Army. Recent Redfin reports seem to have left them positively reeling. As disjointed and typo-laced posts have so clearly indicated, the tides of raging envy and butthurt in the Little City have lately risen to rather dangerous levels. I suppose they still feel fortunate in not being among the 627 Dominion Energy customers reported to be without power this morning, but they have pretty plainly suffered much more grievous injuries than that.

I do sometimes order an Estrella Jalisco, and I'll certainly order a Peroni up in The Club when they have it on tap, but it was a Stella that I was sipping on while laughing at you on Tuesday. The rest of the Bud-based faux selections at the Brewhouse can basically be characterized as the usual poorly crafted skunk-piss that the rabble do so often flightily fall for.

All that blithering nonsense, yet no link to a home for sale or recently sold in the Brockmont neighborhood. If it's such a hot neighborhood, it shouldn't be hard to find, even for an invalid like you.
