Dashcam footage of fatal crash scene on Route 28(02/16/2019).

Fair Oaks Police District – Detectives are asking for the public’s help in identifying two victims from this morning’s fatal single vehicle crash. Officers responded to the crash around 4:26 a.m. on southbound Route 28 near the McLearen Road exit.

Preliminarily, it appears a newer model gray Honda CRV was driving at an excessive speed and drove off the roadway to the right, striking a utility pole. Both men died at the scene. Due to extensive fire damage, both of the victims remain unidentified.

I commute 9 miles one-way and I'll see no less than a dozen texters. It is totally out of hand. I used to be against it, but we now really need a hands-free law in Virginia.

First guess is beaners in a hot ride or dead end MD tags. No reason a vin or plate can’t be recovered. No one ever looks for them until they don’t show up on Monday to sand drywall at some construction site.

The footage clearly shows they were victims of an auto accident.

Given the tattoo imagery, description as two light skinned young males, the location (between Herron and Manassas), and the fax that the police can’t identify them from ids or the license plates, I strongly suspect the are illegal aliens. If the CRV had Maryland plates I’d say it’s better than 95% that the owner was illegal. If the CRV had Virginia plates it’s certain the car was stolen.
