What do you all think of Fair Oaks Mall?

Seems like things are wicked slow there these days. Is it going to be here in another 10 years, or will it be gone, replaced by condos?

I don't think about it. Haven't been there in many years since before they closed the cigar shop. Why would I go there? What can I buy there that I can't find cheaper at Costco, Amazon or elsewhere on the Internet? Maybe that Brazilian steakhouse? It is pretty good (but pricey), but there are several others just as good.

Yes, the mall will eventually be demolished and replaced with expensive housing, just like White Flint Mall, just like what will happen with the former Landover Mall site, for which the developers will contribute exactly ZERO dollars for the roads and schools needed to support these new domiciles.

But after 29 years, I'm out of here later this year and it will be your problem.

The county would prefer condos. They require little to no county services, especially schools. Most condo owners are single with no kids or young married with few or no kids.

The county reaps the benefits of real estate and car taxes.

A mixed use community would better serve the residents of Fairfax County.

Town homes, apartments, condos, with 20% section 8 priority, and another 10% with special 0% finance rate for low income qualified applicants.

Bullshit. NO new residential construction in Fairfax. Period.

I only go there about once a month to Mezeh. It's located by the entrance between the old Sears and the Lord and Taylor store. I just have my meal, then leave. I can't vouch for what the rest of the mall is like as it has been a few years since I've gone further in.

Only for black folks, illegal aliens, trannies and homosexuals. The rest of you honky ass cisgenders need to pay up double to cover for the above-mentioned historically disadvantaged and currently favored groups.

Fuck that bullshit, they need regular condos with strong association rules. No rentals and board approval on all sales.

Marriott at Fair Oaks is already owned by illegals, I think all have been bought out and sold their name. Prices should be dropped because it is a joke and I will never go there again. I was put in a room that was already taken and other illegals just walked into my room, twice! I wanted to use my Marriott credites for one room and no one working there knew how to do it and their manager (illegal) cussed me out almost attacked me, chasing me to the elevator. I notified management of criminal activity outside and they didn't care. I am thinking the buyout has been several years now. I will never go back to the Marriott or Fair Oaks, ever again!

A few years back met a milf there. Attractive, long legs, sort of weird nipples at least an inch long but thin. Didn't give good head but banged like a screen door in a hurricane. Sigh never saw her again.

There are parts of this country where a mall still works, for now. This area isn't one of them. Liberals have gotten to lazy to park the car and walk three miles to do some shopping. The unfortunate ending to Fair Oaks Mall will be redevelopment at an increased density as if the local roads can handle the increased capacity.

Tear the damn thing down but DO NOT put any more housing or shopping in the area.

It is perfectly situated to be the next home of the Washington Redskins. Light rail (not Metro) connecting to the Metro at Vienna, buses that can go East/West on I-66 or Rt. 50. Major North/South roads in old 7100 and Rt. 28. It has enough land space for a modern stadium with all the bells and whistles, as well as massive parking for those who choose not to use public transport. You would be bringing it to an area that is populated by families with disposable income rather than some crime infested welfare section of D.C. or out in the middle of Pistol Grip County. It could be used as he homebase and sporting venue for the International Police and Fire Games. Move Celebrate Fairfax from the Government Center. Move many of the High School graduations from the Patriot Center. Sporting venue so that Fairfax Schools in the Western part of the county do not have to go to the Eastern part of the county to participate in indoor track and field events.

I'm at Fair oaks Mall at least once every two weeks. Been going there for at 10 years now.

I Like it. my kids like it. Many other people like it.

It's not closing anytime soon because nearly all the retail spaces are occupied.

This is a fairly good indicators that the Mall owners & retail owners are doing well.
