It seems like things are going well right now

Does anyone really care about this shutdown?

If so, why?

A 25 % reduction in non essential feds would be great to lower the deficit and give the real working Americans a tax break

I'm a systems engineer under contract to NASA. I enjoy my work and wish we could get back to normal.

Not much I can do about it or the masses of feds, It does piss me off reading about college degree mills like Howard and people with no decent degrees who are unqualified for a job anywhere getting well paid fed jobs the result, but Im ok with the feds thou I do think they are way overpaid for many jobs and underpaid for others like scientists and professional specialists

That all said most feds here vote Democrat so I say let them lay in the beds they made for the next year and then shitcan the majority as unneeded as the people ask who really needs them

All the big tech companies always say there is a huge shortage of engineers, and that is why they need to bring in Pakistanis and Indians with H1B visas. So you should have no problem getting a new job immediately. Maybe a nice pay increase!

Amazingly, life goes on as normal. Except for the lazy gov't niggers who have nowhere to go to waste our tax money.

I care because

1) Its winter and I want to take my kids to the Smithsonian. Can't.
2) Neighbors are being forced to work without getting paid. Feel for em
3) Are Air Traffic Controllers concerned about making mortgage more prone to make a fatal mistake?
4) Reduced food inspections. No consequences yet, but this is a real dice roll.
5) Limited economic data reporting from the Commerce Department. If there is a problem with the economy, we have the blinders on.

People who have less than 6 months pay in short term savings really have something wrong with them and they probably should be left to starve. I could not even imagine being that poor and unprepared.
