Your problem is that it's so easy to show you to be a liar.
Congressman Eric Swalwell, a Democrat from California, has gun control — and specifically gun bans — in his sights.
The Congressman is working on legislation to rid our communities of firearms of any kind. Unlike previous gun ban proposals by Democrats, Swalwell’s legislation does NOT allow for the so-called grandfathering in of currently owned firearms. His proposal include confiscation of privately owned firearms.
Note that NO democrats have come forward and condemned his proposal. They have been silent. Also note it references previous gun ban proposals. Democrats have a long history of using Jim Crow tactics when they couldn't get a complete ban on something - just ask blacks. Magazine restrictions, banning certain types of popular firearms, id to buy ammunition, special taxes, etc are all part of the effort by dems to Jim Crow gun owners. None of these ideas reduces crime or keeps criminals from getting guns. Banning the sale of certain types while grandfathering existing guns is a ban in slow motion. That proposal is commonly made by anti gunners. Your claim that no one is trying to ban guns or take them away is BS.

How to Ban Guns: A step by step, long term process
The only way we can truly be safe and prevent further gun violence is to ban civilian ownership of all guns. That means everything. No pistols, no revolvers, no semiautomatic or automatic rifles. No bolt action. No breaking actions or falling blocks. Nothing. This is the only thing that we can possibly do to keep our children safe from both mass murder and common street violence.
Unfortunately, right now we can't. The political will is there, but the institutions are not. Honestly, this is a good thing. If we passed a law tomorrow banning all firearms, we would have massive noncompliance. What we need to do is establish the regulatory and informational institutions first. This is how we do it:

Here's another:
Bernie Sanders Calls for Sweeping Gun Ban That Would Outlaw All Self-Defense Firearms
In an apparent primary-season about-face on Sunday’s episode of NBC’s Meet the Press, Sanders radically adjusted his position on guns and advocated for a sweeping gun ban that would outlaw most firearms designed for home and self defense.

It's hard to have a serious conversation with people who use name calling, distortion and lies to 'prove' their point. Unfortunately, that's what we encounter when we deal with the anti gun movement.
MD has stricter gun control and a higher murder rate.
DC has stricter gun control and a higher murder rate.
If your proposals saved lives, that wouldn't happen. If guns caused crime, there would be a lot more of it. Guns are a tool that can be used for good and evil. You distort the facts by refusing to acknowledge the good they do and the lives saved by them.
