the statutory limit for prosecuting has no limit for felony

HOWEVER: the police dept. isn't your personal storage facility and neither are police labs

(1) you have to get lab tests to the lab before they are too old to test

(2) you can't leave tests at the lab, they have to be in storage wherever that is

(3) you can't wait several years and prosecute just because CNN says so and then prosecute with the evidence that the dog ate your evidence. you have to have a reason to not be prosecuting. the limit for refusing to prosecute when you can is about 1 year.

if evidence the planned it is discovered they are going to jail for a long long time

in the case of felony it's assumed that discovery of evidence prevents coming foward

in some cases, such as government tampering government prosecuted cases, one is prevented from coming forward by physical barrier: the clock on limitations never runs out for litigants who are threatened

rape kit as evidence is insufficient to prove rape since many women will have consentual sex then file a lawsuit - many have been caught doing it

the only reason to hold a rape kit is if it tested positive and the male isn't known

however: without evidence of assault is still co-oberative the woman didn't consent to sex even if the male is later found to be a rapist - it doesn't necessarily mean every woman he ever touched was a victim

in this way, the police become a lotto for women who turn in rape kits every time they have sex even with their husband incase the woman can use it later in a lucky deceptive lawsuit

there is a problem: that's not what government does or is meant to be used for. it's illegal to run a rape kit lotto

Rape kit is Benadryl, wine, some rope, cheap socks for gagging, and a plastic bag for the body when you're done. You can get everything you need at CVS!
