Simmons & Keating’s pooping their pants over SWJ. Remember last time WHS played PWCO team with a dominant DLineman and LB, didn’t go so well.

Sad to say, nobody up here could beat Highland Springs (5A) or Oscar Smith (6A)
Highland Springs is ranked #15, in the nation.

You guys make me laugh. "Sad to say" no one here can beat Highland Springs?

Why is that sad? Whether they recruit or not, HS is a fantastic team with

suprisingly good coaching. You know what? Their toughest competition in 5A

has always been the Northern Virginia champ. NOVA consistently defeats whomever

they are scheduled against in the finals, then plays tough but loses to a better

team. No one beats them anywhere of late, or haven't you seen their winning

streak?

And then the mopes that are also pushing Oscar Smith in 6A. Westfield always

takes them down.Every year you so-called experts call for them to lose.

I am not sure that they don't win it all last year if Kim doesn't have his

leg broken.

Woodgrove won 4A last year and there is a good chance that Broad Run or

Tuscarora win it this year. There are multiple teams in this area that send

5 or 6 kids off to play college football every year. Ashburn alone had three

kids drafted last year alone. STFU about the brand of football up here not

being any good. This area consistently rolls over teams from Maryland

DC, and West Virginia. Is it Florida or Texas ball? Of course not. Is it as

good or better than Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Ohio? Damn straight.

Can't refute any of this. That's the truth, Ruth.

Chantilly got embarrassed by Yorktown in a scrimmage. Scrimmages don’t usually mean shit, but getting outscored 21-3 by a candy ass Yorktown team when the varsity teams are on the field usually doesn’t mean good is to come. Westfield will trounce the Concorde and 6D again. They should start preparing for SOCO and Freedom PW now, not like any team between now and then is worth it.

Let's see Western area schools are better, Definitely. Westfield has beaten Smith 4-0, true. But Westcield hasn't played in more state title games than Smith. You know that every one of them were single score games. So, the margin is small despite the record.

Now Westfield is slipping. Their fans and you know it. Freedom is better than last year, Smith is better and they only lost to Highland Spring on a terrible TD kit of bounds call. Let's see if the Bulldogs can go through the season beating Average teams? SWJ is next. will it be another squeak through win or it be a Loss?

Not true for Westfield. I can count on one hand the number of FR who have been on the varsity and, if so, almost none of them have played except a down or two. Going way back, possibly Corum (LB), Royster (RB, played a lot as FR), M. Glennon, S. Glennon (but that was the school's opening year), Kim, maybe 1-2 more I cannot recall.

No donk, the only thing people remember is that Westfield owns OS and gave
you all the smack down 3X in a row. Pls stop your arguments hold no water. You’re an embarrassment to the 757. I know no one else down there thinks like you do cuz they have common sense and you are just a retard.

West Springfield 3-0!

The first indoor football game in VHSL history did not disappoint as the West Springfield Spartans and the T.C. Williams Titans combined for over 100 points, including 62 combined points in the third quarter alone, in front of a sell-out crowd.

West Springfield's senior QB (and Monmouth commit) Tony Muskett was unable to throw a touchdown pass for the first time this season. Instead, Muskett relied on his legs, carrying the ball 13 times for 200 yards (15.4 avg.) to score three on the ground. Senior RB Brooks Stephenson also had a field day against the Titans' defense, carrying the ball 19 times for 159 yards (8.4 avg.) for four touchdowns. On the defensive side, the Spartans continue to force turnovers to bring their total to eight thus far.

MaxPreps has SWJ @ #7 Ranking in Class 6. This is ahead of Centreville, Lake Braddock, Thomas Dale and Ocean Lakes! So, after the very close call vs LB, is Westfield about to be upset this Friday? Westfield is #2 on this list. So, is this the game of the week?

"Stonewall is actually #6, dumbass MaxPreps has Manchester is D6, they are D5 this year. They always give WF fits."

Wow I feel sorry for your friends, family & co-workers today. Get some coffee & then read this again. Completely incoherent. Your comment it written like a middle school kid flunking English!

There are no D6 & D5 designations for VHSL. There are Class 6 & Class 5 with Regions A-D. I think most reasonable people know that Manchester is incorrectly placed in the MaxPreps Ranking system. But unless a coach or administrator reaches out to them, nothing will be changed. So, it is what it is!

Maybe the below article will allow people some pretty interesting info about Friday Night's game?

INSIDENOVA.com

How far has Stonewall Jackson football come? Look for Friday's game at Westfield to provide some answers

In the aftermath of his team’s season-opening victory at Gar-Field on Sept. 6, Stonewall Jackson head football coach Carroll Walker implored his players to ignore the score. Pay no attention to the 41-7 final, he said. Mistakes were made, and it was way too early to draw any conclusions, even after a convincing win. The Raiders laid a similar whooping on Forest Park a week later, 48-7. And last week, they trounced Brooke Point, 42-7, a game in which the defense pitched a shutout.

It might be time to start paying attention to Stonewall Jackson. The Raiders are 3-0 for the first time since 2012 and, under Walker’s guidance, have slowly rebuilt a program that endured a winless season in 2015. This next step is a big one, though. If the Raiders want to get to 4-0, they’ll have to do so at the expense of Class 6 power Westfield, a program that hasn’t lost more than two games in a single season since 2010. The Raiders are at the Bulldogs Friday for a 7 p.m. showdown between two unbeaten teams. Westfield (3-0) has won the previous two matchups by a combined score of 52-13.

“We better not underestimate them,” Westfield head coach Kyle Simmons said earlier this week. “The first thing I said to the guys this week was that [the Raiders] scare me.”

Walker, a 1989 Stonewall Jackson graduate, had a plan when he accepted the head coaching job three years ago – a refreshingly realistic one. He was eager to erase the memories of that 0-10 embarrassment, to be sure, but he knew it wouldn’t happen overnight. Walker knew that if he moved too fast, if he pushed too hard, if he asked for things capricious teenagers couldn’t possibly deliver, he risked leaving his alma mater in a worse position than where he found it.

Step 1: win three games. The Raiders went 3-7 in 2017. Check
.
Step 2: achieve a .500 record. The Raiders went 5-5 last year, good enough to make the playoffs for the first time since 2014. Check.

“It’s going exactly the way I planned it,” Walker said. “We’re going step-by-step through my vision for this program. Now, let’s get deeper into the playoffs.” A win Friday at Westfield will go a long way in keeping the Raiders on their path to redemption. The Bulldogs won three-straight Class 6 state championships (2015-17) and have compiled an unfathomable 205-39 record in the program’s 20-year existence. Westfield is the standard by which the rest of Class 6 is measured.

“It’s a big opportunity for my football program,” Walker said. “It’s an opportunity to gauge ourselves and see where we are.”

Stonewall Jackson running back Xander Albea leads a fairly balanced offensive attack. The junior has rushed for 321 yards this season, averaging nearly 10 yards per carry with five touchdowns. It’s the young and explosive Stonewall defense that has jumped out to Simmons, though. Led by a pair of highly-recruited Division I prospects – sophomore linebacker Shawn Murphy and junior defensive tackle Tyleik Williams – the Raiders have allowed just 14 points all season. Brooke Point scored last week on a Stonewall Jackson turnover. Murphy is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 3 sophomore recruit in the country (and the top-ranked linebacker). Williams is a top 200 recruit nationally and the fourth-ranked junior in Virginia. Both will have the opportunity to attend the college of their choice, free of charge.

Simmons even compared Williams to former Stone Bridge standout Jonathan Allen, who played at Alabama and was drafted in the first round by the Washington Redskins. “He’s a man among boys,” he said. “I was watching special teams film today. He’s rushing on the punt. He runs over the first guy and throws the second guy out of the way. He’s 260 pounds and almost blocked the punt. They’ve got some guys like that.”

The Raiders’ defense will be tested Friday by a Westfield offense led by senior quarterback Noah Kim, a Virginia Tech commit. Kim, who suffered a broken leg during last year’s state semifinal loss to Freedom, is back to his old, productive self this year, completing 60 percent of his passes for 507 yards, seven touchdowns and zero interceptions. Kim’s weapons include two running backs – Isaiah Daniel and Mikal Legall – who have combined for nearly 400 yards, and a pair of receivers – Alex Richards and Avery Howard – who have scored on seven of their 20 receptions.

The Bulldogs can strike quickly and average 43 points per game. Beating Westfield is a big ask for any team, let alone one smack dab in the middle of a rebuild, but Walker said he can’t afford to alter his slow-and-steady approach for any single opponent.

“To come out with a win, it would achieve what we talked about in the offseason about how hard work pays off,” he said. “They have the ability to compete against a team like that, to beat a team like that. But they’re not overconfident. It’s one game at a time.”

Boy somebody appears close to a nervous breakdown! Must be a privileged, quick to offend Libersl. Maybe you should try reading the InsideNova.com article and see if you can develop a succinct rebutal. I understand that without the Washington Post or NYT telling you what to say, that all you can come up with is the typical, juvenile puke that you just spewed. But let's try anyway?!

So Stonewall has a nice team. No doubt - a very stout defense. But in this game overall they were not of Westfield's caliber. They ran out of running backs and offensive linemen by the end of the game so maybe they could do better in a rematch. Stonewall d shut down #17 but seemed not to know #15 is also a pretty good WR. Solid effort and a fun game to watch. And no, Kim did not get sacked once.

They weren’t ready to play. Very lackluster approach and effort. Hate to say it but out coached. OL sucks. OC terrible play calling. Qb throws to ball to one receiver 90% of the time. Very undisciplined with penalties after the plays were dead. TC deserved to win.

Another team. Another ill-informed opinion. I hate to break it to you but this Westfield team is better than last season. The play calling is improved under Lalli. Better job of keeping defenses guessing. Adapting to capabilities of the oline. More depth at RB. More speed at WR. And the defense is better. They have over 140 kids in the program. No one wants to go there? They have to beat transfers off with a stick. You are fake news.

I think this is easily the best SJ team I have seen in a while. The defense is very good and they have enough athletes on offense to do damage against most teams. I will bet they go 8-2, or maybe run the rest of the table and end up 9-1. The problem is their schedule-it is very weak and will not prepare them for the playoffs beyond maybe the 2nd round. Unless they tank, the only team with a real shot at them for the rest of the regular season is Patriot, maybe Champe.

Alright the Bruins show that last week was all about the refs giving the game to the Bulldogs (again?)

Doc and the boys are still headed for Canton and will be seeking an opponent for that 16th contest to show they are truly #1 not just in VA, but across the USA!

Go Bruins, this is our year!

The Bruins will not fail!

No. Bulldogs by +28.

And it is Woodson’s Homecoming game. They will be destroyed.

Everyone can clearly see now that the best 2 teams this year are LB and Westfield.
LB wins easily over a tough Marshall team 49-10 last night. As many people have posted on here Doc has the teamed prepared to play 15. He told everyone before the season started, so no excuses for not listening

This is one of the best LB teams ever, athletes and superstars all over the field.
Obviously, the best staff in the state, I just dont see anyone beating them.

Next week Oakton will smellllllll what the Doc is cooking and its not going to be a pretty sight.

I attended the Chantilly vs Edison game and Chantilly certainly deserved to win, bigger, stronger, faster. But they showed their real side with a classless sportsmanship like display. Clearly trying to run up the score their starters were still in the game leading 31-6 late in the 4th quarter and scored on a run with 49 seconds left rather than taking a knee deep in Edison territory. Hope in their upcoming games they get their butts handed to them.

It’s not our fault we are steamrolling our opponents. We are doing what good teams do, beat the lesser teams in convincing fashion. Oh don’t worry we will be ready for Concorde play. We won’t be giving into the “hype” around certain a player(s). My boys know him and will be ready for him. #purpleplatoon

Say what you want about Chantilly, but they are built to make a deep playoff run. They have the best o-line the Concorde has seen in a long time, great backs and the passing game is starting to come together. Their defense is very physical and forces turnovers. They are a hard-hitting fly over the field unit. When it comes down to it, the Concorde will be decoded week 10 when Chantilly goes to Westfield in what should be a great game.

Woodson guy, definitely go to the game. WF is a good team. Although they will lose, it’ll be fun to watch one of the best in the state.

What’s up with Centreville?

Chantilly is still bad. They should add Wakefield to that terrible schedule while they’re at it!

Those are the power points calculated using the VHSL rating scale. VHSL uses a rating scale to determine what teams make the playoffs and their seeding rather than simply going by wins and losses. VHSL will begin releasing official numbers starting next week. Someone is calculating the numbers themselves which is quite the complex chore.

The first number is the team's total power points, the second is their average score = Total/Games Played

The only reason Chantilly scored late was because our coach kept calling timeouts at the end. The game was over. Have to give it to Chantilly. We played them tough at first but the really were physical. They haven’t played anyone before us but it should be interesting to see them against hayfield and their district games.

Hayfield is hot garbage right now. Hendo has lost the team. Kids quit in the field as soon as some adversity comes up and Hendo starts yelling they tune him out.

No it’s not a coach thing it’s a culture thing. You have to many un-coachable kids along with parents who are a pain in the ass. You all think your little Johnny’s should be playing this position or that position and they need the ball. They talk a good game but comes down to it they are “me first” type kids. Once the seniors and juniors cycle through that aren't corrupted by the older kids. Most of the seniors and some jrs all want to be either drug dealers or rappers and cause trouble, like the fight at Glory Days couple of weeks ago. Shields has an uphill battle but he is the right man for the job. So all the parents that miss Haddock and his enabling ways should shut it. Especially some of the loud mouths in the stands that act like they know everything. Stop it, you’re a middle aged man, everyone thinks you’re a joke, your kid is not D1 caliber. There’s been a couple of loud mouth jerks who’s kids have quit already and good riddance. Wish the others would hurry and do the same. We are not Westfield we need to stop comparing ourselves to them until we hold ourselves Ns kids to a higher standard.

Yes there are some problem kids but come on, that was a horrible game plan set up by the coaching staff. They knew about the RB and the Qb. Couldn’t stop either one. And the OC bites!! Run up the middle on 3rd and 12 from the 20 just to set up a FG. Brilliant. How did that work out??? Then all you need to win is to kill the clock and you have your 5’5” 135 pound soaking wet RB in and not your bigger one in?? Not to mention a dumb ass lineman getting a pf on him after the play was over.

PF is not coach’s fault. He didn’t plan that. It’s the “me” first attitude he inherited and is working to coach out. If you look at SYA program you can see why these kids act the way they do. Undisciplined, rude, obnoxious parents and loud mouth coach’s who just yell all the time!

At this point, I’ve watched both Westfield and Freedoms WB play. I give a narrow edge to Freedom-WB. Their recruiting has paid off with bringing in men. They are huge and fast. Still act classless, but they are very good. Well coached fundamentally, but the kids still act classless at times.

I heard last night @ Battlefield the coach called TO around the minute mark, up 41-0. Had to get the right play call and personnel in to score a TD on the last play of the game to win 47-0. And wanted to kick the extra point. Officials said no, game over.

Sooner or later, these type of teams will have a hard time finding games. Nobody outside of their district will want to play these teams. Is this unsportsmanlike or the new philosophy of coaching?

Centreville is poorly coached. O line gets no movement. The QB is at best a future d3. NOT even close to Noah. The secondary sucks. They take poor angles in pursuit. That falls on the HC. The boosters chose the coach!same know it alls in the stands. A lot of staff cussing on the sideline.DSA ignores....must be planning next B and E.

Your honestly a dumbass. Yes Tilly May be undefeated, but they haven’t played anybody unlike all the other teams in the Concorde. Westfield has played SWJ and LB, Cville has played Stone Bridge, and Madison has played Soco and StoneBridge. When it comes down to district play and playoffs they are going to get there asses handed to them because they haven’t been playing against any talent. Tilly is gonna win against Oakton and go One and done in the playoffs. Enjoy being Undefeated for the next week because soon them Ls are gonna start pulling up

It's early but it seems to me that the only teams from the south/north brackets in Class 6 that have any chance of advancing to the state championship game would be:

SOUTH
1. Freedom WB (4-0)

Could be a coin flip between the top 2 in both the North & South. We won't know until late in the playoffs. Power points will likely favor Westfield & Freedom. Let's hope those games are played on Friday then Saturday, our staggered times on Saturday. Too bad there are zero suitable football stadiums to host those games! Could anyone in the area imagine these games played as a double header at 25,000 seat stadium!!!???

You aren’t wrong, you’re incomplete. Chantilly is in the mix. Here let me fix the list for you.

1. Chantilly. 4-0
2. Westfield. 4-0
3. South County 4-0
4. Lake Braddock 3-1

this must be a student messing around on the keyboard ignore what they say. We are all excited about what chantilly can and will do but we aren’t jumping to any conclusions until we win some big district games. Can’t wait to see what Chantilly does this season though these kids are very special.

LB has Doc now and he is preparing for 15 games, that means a state title this year. So understand that Mr. Purple & White

WOW GREAT JOB ON BEATING EDISON,LEE,LANGLEY,and OSBORN PARK!! Neither one of those schools has won more than one game! You are nothing special and have biggest cupcake schedule of all time.

I totally agree that all the Chantilly talk is way too soon. But they still have to play the teams that are scheduled. Chantilly was awful a few years ago and their current schedule reflects that. The same will happen for Oakton in the next cycle. District games are automatically scheduled, the the committee gives games based off of a ranking system (previous years power points)and then the school finds a few games. Most of the time the AD is the one who finds those games.
Purple platoon slow down and wait until Hayfield, Oakton, Madison, Centreville games before you start talking about anything. You’re just embarrassing yourself and don’t know what you’re talking about.
Also - the Doc talk is getting old. They suck. He is awful and so is the staff. Should be way better with the kid at QB. He is the real deal.

How is Doc and the staff awful? They inherited a mess of a program and have started to get things straightened out

They are doing a great job with what they have.
A lot of talent graduated last year, 10 players playing at the college level.
We have one of the toughest schedules in the state
Lots of distractions off the field.

So if you factors all that in, 3-1 right now, Doc and staff have done a wonderful job.

Not really impressed with what's going on in school football now but current standings of NFL are really interesting so now I am more into the serious football. Sad that lately I don't have enough spare time to watch games live, always have to record streams to watch games later. And still, sometimes I can't find time to even watch a recorded stream.

lbmom who sticks her nose in on everything because her son is a manger. The football program was not a mess. Coach P was doing fine. Doc leaves dumpster fires wherever he goes. Having kids play in college has nothing to do with coaches. Saying you have 10 college players as your argument as to why he is good shows in fact he isn’t because of how bad the team looked in the playoffs last season.

Play the champs and then come back and talk. At least the fools at LB have played the champs. Sure they lost. And they would have lost by more if not for the refs keeping the Bruins in the game, but they did hold their own and didn't get thoroughly trounced. We'll take your pink and purple chargers seriously if they can even hold their own against WF. Until then, eat a bag of dicks.
