Hey - that's nice - there's always a handful of top end FBS recruits in Prince William.

But as you have no doubt noticed it's a team sport.

If he played in a real district, say the Patriot, he would be 2nd from the bottom, beating out whatever stiff FHS rolls out.

Again, LB has as much or more talent then anyone in the region.
If this staff cant make a run in the playoffs with this team, they should be fired! Its time for Doc to put up or shut up!!

Patriot div will by far be the toughest and most competitive in the North.
Almost every team started a Soph QB,(exception being WSHS who was a Jr but will still be a 3yr starter) expect them to make significant strides this year.

No recruiting at Tusky you bunch of dumbasses. SB is the only recruiter. Know this, NO ONE cares either. I personally know the Rock Ridge kids who left and went to SB. They were directed on what apartments to rent. All furnished and player bedroom decorated as a SB student. Rock Ridge filed tons of protests and complaints. Their ADs even went to kids real houses and took video to prove they still lived at their RR homes. So the SB AD and HC went to “verify” their new SB address. There is no real checking happening. It is a big joke. If you ha e the support from the Coach to be on his team to move no one will stop it.

My kid was “invited” to change to SB himself but I am not one who can afford my mortgage and rent on another apartment.

It’s a total BS sham!!

It’s high school football, idiot. Get over yourself. Lake Braddock has great coaches and great players. Win or lose, it’s a terrific team to belong to. They follow the rules and try their best to push school first with these athletes. No one can asks for more.

They honestly do not. I know many refer to a video from a coupe of years ago where a kid, who I personally know, thanked the coaches for the opportunity to play etc. he was not recruited he was thanking the coaches for the opportunity play as a transfer student. Him being given playing time meant someone who hadn’t transferred may not have the playing time they had expected.

I know coaches their. They do not actively recruit. Students may decide to transfer there but none of the coaches there currently recruit, I do not know about the first coach there.

The gay porn poster was harassing the OP of that thread. He had a beef with the guy creating multiple HS football threads to bury the original one, which he might have created. Once someone else created a new thread and it became the official one, he stopped. It was personal and not about 'grown ups posting about HS football is gay' stuff that pops up from time to time.

We’ee Definitely excited about the next couple of years. Voss Lee finally woke up and realized we need a more balanced attack. Having someone to help with the Qb an passing game overall will fix what’s been missing in years past. no longer 9-10 in the box, we’ll beat you with a deep ball over top. Shame it took so long for him to figure out, wasted a lot of good kids/teams talents in the past. We should’ve beat WF a few yrs ago on their field no less but 3 passes all game and missing on 2 wide open shots doesn’t help. I see us winning Patriot District this year.

Robinson will be the same run first Wing T team again this year.
Every year they say they will be different, but never are.
The offense isn't built for throwing the ball, so just having a new QB coach will not make a difference.

I see the Patriot district the same as last year, LB, SoCo and Woodson one of the three winning it.

LB has the better talent
SoCo has the better athletes
Woodson has the better coaching

No one cares about 5A football from Loudoun. Inferior product. It’s like buying knock off designer brand made in China.

Whomever posted this is a moron.

Ask Haddock about the inferior product that is Loudoun football. His career record against Loudoun is 2-4. That sucks. He never even played Stone Bridge.

Stone Bridge and Westfield are 3-3 in their history. Westfield had 1000 more kids enrolled every year.

Ask Aziz if Loudoun County sucks.

Champe never won shit in 5A in Loudoun. They will contend this year in Fairfax 6A. Count on it.

What kind of mental midget are you? Stone Bridge's pool of players is 20X the number of kids that go to Westfield. Their enrollment effectively includes every school in Loudoun County and probably NOVA. I mean they had kids from at least 8 different high schools playing for them last year. That sorta makes the number of kids at the school pretty irrelevant.

BTW, Simmons is 3-1 vs SB. Not bad all things considered.

Everyone in LOCO recruits. Riverside nabbed Qb who was at Dominion last year prior to that he was at Stone Bridge. 3yrs 3 different high schools. Don’t know what the kid is chasing but he should’ve stayed at SB.

That one is not being recruited. His parents keep moving. They are huge SB fans and supports. His 3 older sibling all graduated from SB. They sold their McMansion on the golf course and rent now there is only 3 in the fam.

He also wouldn’t have been given much playing time at SB last year...

Serious questions-
1. Does moving to a better team improve your recruiting g chances?

2. Or moving so you can be 2-3yr starter for bad to mediocre team help?

3. Or moving to chase championships matter, do colleges care about Hs state championships when recruiting?

1. Better teams might get more eyeballs from recruiters than bad/mediocre teams. But it's almost always the HS coaches who get the recruiters attention by writing letters, calling and sending tape.

2. Recruiters expect the better recruits to be 2-3 year starters, though being a starter on a good team is better than being a starter on a bad team.

3. Championships mean you'll get more eyeballs from recruiters. But being on a championship team doesn't carry much weight.

In the end, the recruiters are looking mostly at individual talent. If you've you got great skills, it doesn't really matter too much what the team was like. They also look for 'coachability', leadership, keeping your nose clean and, to some degree, academics.

And no one seems to remember that two of the three SB wins came when WF was at their lowest point in the school's history, going 6-4 in back to back years in 2009 (21-17 SB win) and 2010 (7-3 SB win). In 2009 WF could (and should) have won but they blew two TDs when WF's QB overthrew open receivers in the end zone twice on consecutive plays late in the game.

Colleges may not care about players winning HS state championships, but the better the school record is, the more college coaches will comes around.

Schools like Westfield SB, Freedom, LB Centreville probably have a ton of P5 coaches coming to visit in the spring. Dont get me wrong, they visit other schools too, but not as many. So kinda/sorta championships will help players get recruited or least will get colleges coaches in the building

Those Lake Braddock coaches likely moved on to the college ranks. I am pretty sure the colleges knew they were on the best staff in the state.

Most colleges are jumping on the Bruins train, they know its going to be rolling thru this year.

It isn't necessarily about the skill players or scheme...that makes a difference on individual plays...it is the 4 quarters of slogging in the trenches and who as the guts to dig down and still give 10/10th at the end of a game.

Robo 21 prospect, Big Polish kid named Toboggan. Going to be a Punter, in the mold of Janokowski, but we all know riding a Toboggan is better than Ski's!

The big kid from Robinson is Tristan Leigh. Big, big kid and very athletic for his size. Grew up playing basketball and moves very well. Really good kid.

Trouble in paradise...? Almost entire defensive staff jumped off that sinking ship. A couple went to WTW. Look for LB to finish 3rd maybe even 4th in their own district and there will be a new HC for 2020 season.

The defense should be much better this year, Docs guys were replaced with 2 of Poythress's old coaches. If Braddock doesn't make a run in the playoffs with this team, look for Doc to move on

Those at wtw and hayfield were not stepping down, all but 1 was fired and replaced with poythress former DC and DB coach. Als it’s insane that you think LB goes 3rd or 4th in conference. Likely conference champ will
Be LB, or soco, or a conference split like last season. Look for wtw to beat fairfax and that is it for conference play. They will not be good. Westfield wins their conference, LB wins theirs, stone bridge wins theirs, freedom wins theirs. Oscar smith wins theirs. WF beats LB for the state semi finals, Oscar smith bears freedom, Oscar smith beats WF in state

Sounds like Doc and his former Woodson coaches are worried that Woodson could win the district again this year. When he was at Woodson, the goal was to host a playoff game, unfortunately he could never achieve that because he just wasn't a good enough coach. He leaves and Woodson hosted 3 playoff games last year.

In 2 years at LB, Doc has 1 playoff win with 2 early exits. Prior to Doc, LB always hosted and made deep playoff runs. The past 2 years Doc has had as much talent or more then any of those LB teams and still couldn't win in the playoffs.

This year they will probably have at least 3-4 D-1 players on this team, he has a ton of talent to work with. A stud TE/DE, great QB, big/fast receivers.

If Doc cant make a playoff run with this team, he never will and should be replaced.

You are stupid if you think the high school coach will get fired from lake Braddock to the performance after all the shit they went through With the basketball team (girls). Also wtw had a 3 way tie for the conference with soco and LB. 2-3 at best for wtw. Screenshot it and don’t forget it

Smith has some real talent AGAIN & they will have a nasty Defense, a lot of skilled players but it's going to come down to how tough their O-Line can be AND who is going to step in at QB this year? No standout at this position yet. They better hope for a big transfer. If that happens, look out! Chris Scott will not make the mistakes in a championship game that were made the last go around vs Westfield!

-Exactly. The Skins win the off season and Doc wins on Fairfax Underground. Maybe the basketball BS saves his job. Talk about ruining a program.

_LB, Robo, and WTW are all f-ed because BRYC football is terrible. Three years ago at least 1/2 the starters came out of BRYC. Good luck with that today.

Surprisingly I agree with Westfield at 4. They dropped WCAC teams from their pre-season scrimmages. That tells you right there that expectations have been lowered.

Sorry bro but Chargers leap frogging Wildcats. Coach Curry has really developed some of the younger kids and next couple of year’s tide is turning the Chargers way. Also Wildcats will have their own growing pains under their new HC also losing their signal caller for past 2 seasons and starting unproven Qb.

Patriot district-
Robo- they are set up to have really strong seasons next 2yrs, wouldn’t go so far as to say state semi’s but definitely 2 playoff games.

SoCo- they always have so much talent on both sides of the ball. They will continue to have success against LB.

LB- No Stone Bridge this year, should help with the rough starts they’ve had past 2 years. But still slipped over all. No longer dominant team in their district. Losing so many coach’s on defense doesn’t help especially when one of them is new DC at one of their rival school

WTW- Slipping, last year was their chance, doubt they will effectively replace their seniors.

WSHS- Always start fast by beating up on the weaker teams on their schedule then fizzle out, this year will be no different.

FHs- Coach Taylor probably regrets leaving SL, I’d not this season will definitely make him regret it. Be lucky to win 1-2 games. They are just bad all around and no indications that things will get better any time soon

WF- until someone from Concord takes it from them

MHS- they seem to inch closer every time to knocking Bulldogs off to claim the top spot, this season should be no different

CHS- they seem to save their best games for WF but this year they will play everyone tough in the district. Really like the Qb, he is a load to bring down, if he can complete some downfield throws and keep defenses guessing they can knock anyone off.

CVHS- how fast can they learn new coach’s system? They have a plethora of rb’s but new system uses a primary back.

OHS- still bad and still far from winning a game. Last HC ruined football and will take a lot of effort and several years to make them respectable again.

Sorry dude, I dont see Robinson beating SoCo, LB or Woodson

LB has the most talent of any team in the region, but, coaching could hurt them
SoCo plays everyone tough, this could be their year, Pannoni finishes strong
Woodson very good QB and more talent coming back then given credit for
Robinson same Robinson year after year, until they show they can be balanced 1 and done is what they will be
WS good QB not much more
FFX losing players fast

There’s def a re-newest focus for Rams not to be so 1 dimensional this season. We have solid line and a kid who can sing it (with accuracy!) and a real qb coach to mentor him and from what I’ve heard he’s helped numerous kids go to D1 level so I think that alone will be a huge difference. We’ve had just as many athletes as any one in Patriot district just not the right scheme to take advantage of it. In the past we’ve been 1 holding call away from killing drives. It’ll be different this year. If we can complete anywhere near 60% of our passes we will be dangerous. I don’t see why won’t knock off Bruins or Stallions and win Patriot this year.

The ram fans seem very confident but the truth is there aren't a lot of athletes in that building. In the three main sports Robinson is Slightly above average in football, slightly below average in basketball, and average in baseball. They are more like Woodson in West Springfield talent wise then they are like Braddock and South County. The Rams excel in the country club sports and wrestling. They Haven’t been able to win big in football basketball or baseball for over a decade. That tells me their issues are deeper than scheme, coaches, or bad luck.

Keep drinking the Kool-Aid on the new QB coach! The QB is an average high school QB, nothing more. I dont see him making a difference. That's always been the issue with Robinson parents, they think their kids have all this talent and when they dont do well, its the coaching. Robinson hasn't had anywhere near the talent level LB and SoCo for a few years

Patriot district will be a 3 team race again this year, LB, SoCo and Woodson.

How were Woodson’s lower levels? I know they graduated quite a bit of talent and lost some coaches.
From my understanding Robinson and SoCo had the best lower level talent. Woodson got crushed by Robinson at the lower levels, but I believe Robinson crushed a lot of teams down there.

Just a reminder the rising senior class beat Westfield their freshman season. Add into the mix of the talent from the rising junior class we will surprise a lot of folks. Also our lacrosse and wrestling teams are quite strong so don’t say we don’t have the talent other schools in Patriot have. We’ll see you in Sept.

Oh they beat Westfield in freshmen football 3 years, let crown them state champs right now! Get real, outside of Robinson and maybe SOCO, the lower levels have never meant a lot to most of the patriot district teams.

No one in the district or region goes 4 wide or trips or even throws the ball, how will anyone cover the Robinson receivers? Is this some kind of new offense the new Robinson coach made up? Boy, I dont think anyone wants to play Robinson after hearing that!

WTW, LB, RHS, and SC are really on the way down. Their youth feeders programs are sooooooo down. BRYC is 1/4 of what it was a decade ago. Their leadership got rid of the good coaches. SCYC was always small but id way small now. SYC has sucked for years.

I’m not sure if youth football organizations are going to a good predictor of future football success anymore. A lot of families are holding their kids out of football until 9th grade.

More realistic for Robinson 5-5 at best they steal a win an 6-4

> Week 1 TC Williams loss, TCW has athletes Robinson will not be able to deal with, go ahead try your new offense on them
> Week 2 Bye
> Week 3 Hayfield win, but a close game. Hayfield beat them last year
> Week 4 Madison loss, Madison is a better team
> Week 5 @ Langley win, who cares
> Week 6 Lake Braddock loss, LB is a better team
> Week 7 @ Fairfax win
> Week 8 @ South County loss, SC is a better team
> Week 9 Woodson loss Woodson is a better team
> Week 10 @ West Springfield win

LB is the team to beat in the Patriot district, region and state!

This may be the most talented team at LB they have ever had.
The QB is one of the best in the whole state and being recruited by a bunch of major D1 schools. The TE/DE has a number of offers from major D1 schools. There are 2 receivers James and Fanfan are fast and big and both are getting D1 looks from all the major schools. So LB has at least 5 D1 college ready players this year.

Doc has added a few new coaches to the already best in the state coaching staff. I think you can see where I am going with this now. I dont see anyone stopping them from rolling thru the region and the state championship!

Jump on the Bruin train as it will roll over you if you dont!

All of the clubs in the Fairfax County Youth Football League are way down in terms of participation in the last 6 years. The two largest clubs in the FCYFL are not in Fairfax, American Pride and Gainesville both from PWC.

Yorktown QB is by far the best QB in northern VA, hands down. I think they might have won the spring league at St James in Alexandria, even though that doesn't mean a damn thing about being successful when the pads come on.

Robinson could be better this year but only if they open it up some on offense. One big kid on the OLine does not mean much, he is big but I dont think he even made all conference and ROBO was 5-6 last season. Their F and JV were successful the last two years so the God's have aligned for the coach. Can they capitalize on the opportunity? Time will tell.

SOCO, LB and WTW will be pushing for the ever weak Occuquan Region title. Hayfield is way down, they keep losing all of their coaches to other schools. Their ace in the hole is hoping that a few "transfers" come in like last year.

Cant wait til August.

dont = LB coaching staff that sends D1 kids off but loses every year. It's Don't!

Staff = Cock in Doc's mouth

Robo was 6-5 last year. Lost to Hayfield by a last second TD, blown out by Braddock, lost by a field goal to SoCo, and Woodson twice by a couple scores both times. They were an above average football team that could have easily been 7-3. If they are more talented the next few years like some are suggesting they should be pretty good.

Noah Kim from Westfield rising Senior all everything before he got injured

Billy Edwards from LB rising Junior one of the top underclassmen in the area

Joe Pasansky from Woodson rising Junior, doesn't have the weapons the others have, but is a big strong armed kid who makes the others around him better

Tony Muskett from West Springfield rising Senior is the reason they win any games at all

This has to be Yorktown coach or Qb’s family member posting this garbage. Quite laughable. He’s not even the best Qb in his own district. lol Not even going to get into the full depths of this ludicrous statement. I suggest go make Grant some chicken nuggets for dinner and stay off the FU. “These jokes” Lol

1)Madison, 9-1 (4-0) loses early to stone bridge but gets big wins @ Robo, SoCo, Cville, And Westfield- Returning QB and Strong returning Linebackers
2) Centerville, 7-3 (3-1) loses to stone bridge, south lakes, and Madison. Will beat TC, Tilly, MV, and Westfield.
3)chantilly, 7-3 (2-2) Start the year undefeated with a weak out of conference schedule but loses 3 of 4 with loses to Hayfield, Madison and centreville. But beats Westfield
4)Westfield, 6-4 (1-3) Couldn’t find their schedule but just a guess, loses 3 conference games to chantilly, Madison and Westfield
5)Oakton 0-10 (0-4) worst fucking team in Virginia, would lose to 130 centreville team.

Westfield only loses one of the three games to Madison, Centreville or Chantilly...most likely is Madison...but Simmons is a smart coach vs. whether Counts can learn from past mistakes against the Bulldogs.

Bullish on the Warhawks, but until they can show they can actually beat Westfield...they haven't beaten Westfield...

Stop it, Chantilly is not beating Westfield. Also, the reason for DeMatha not scrimmaging Westfield anymore is because DeMatha has a new HC who will probably schedule his team’s scrimmages against other powerhouses. I bet Westfield reached out.

No, no coach or parent of a player here, just stating my observations.

Those four kids mentioned are all good QB's. IMO, the York QB presents more of a threat to opposing teams and has the prototype QB size. If my memory is right, Wilson was 1st team all district and and offensive player of the year in the district, just sayin.....

Can't wait til August.

You should take off the rose colored glasses. He plays in one of the weakest districts ever (can’t even beat SL). He would be at best 4th in Patriot district or Concorde. He has size but is a turnover machine and not very accurate. Until proven otherwise WF Qb who is 2x All district & OPY, 2x All region and 2x All-State & 2X All-Met & 2x State champ is the best Qb in VA. You shouldn't write such dribble, shows your ignorance.
