Waze sucks balls, it is only good for people reporting Police. If too few people are running Waze, you get screwed.

Google Maps is using all the data from phones to get a much better idea as to traffic problem. You do not even need to be running Maps for the phones info to be captured.

Google owns Waze (since 2013), so I'd be surprised if there wasn't some cross-communication there. But who knows...

I have been watching and comparing Waze and Google Maps a lot lately and have found that Google Maps trumps Waze on everything other than Police Reports.

Pulled out of my development the other day, saw the State Route I live off of had small amount of Red traffic, turned out it was 5 cars wating to pull into the local church parking lot.

Was blowing down I95 in South Carolina and my buddy was running Waze. Dead stop both lanes just as we were approaching an Exit. I told my buddy to get the hell off of I95, he looks at me and says Waze does not show a back up. I ask him what is eyes saw. He exited.

Pulled out and launched Google Maps as just as he started to Exit. Goggle Maps showed the back up plain as day. Gave us a re-route and we had no issues.

A few weeks ago went to New Orleans and back. Ran Google Maps the entire time. Maps had us exit a few times, we thought is might be suspicious, decided to listen to Google Maps, we ended up running along a parallel road to the highway, we could see the entire backup, car was on its side. Totally avoided the complete back up and then a few others.

Waze sucks balls. I have proven it over and over.

VERY interesting. My problem with Waze has always been that if you're driving alone, entering anything anything (like "strafed a cop at mile marker 87") is dangerous as hell. But I haven't used it in a while--maybe that can be done using voice control or something now.

From what you're saying, it sounds like Google is trying to produce results through analytics, and Waze through crowdsourcing. Seems like a hybrid might be the real answer, eh?

Waze is GREAT for long road trips, in addition to a solid radar detector and a set of jammers I can cruise 95 at 95mph for the most part. But yes their map guidance sucks, Google maps is much better. When you report a cop with waze you don't have to do anything other than two quick taps, report as close to the trap as possible.

Exactly, the other problem with Waze while running Rt 29 in Southern VA at 10 PM on a Sunday night, not too many local boys in their pickup trucks running Waze and reporting the VA State Police or local Sheriff hiding in the median as you pop up over the hills.

Sure Google Maps does not provide this feature, but at least with Google Maps when the good old boy rolls his pickup and blocks the road at least Google Maps has a possibility of reporting and re-routing you.

Waze has missed the mark so many times, I do not even use it unless I am running 2 devices in the car and only reply on Waze for police reports. I can also get police reports via the CB radio and be entertained with the lower level elements on the road.

While Waze has potential, it does not do as good as a job as what most people need it for, avoiding traffic.

Run Google Maps even on your short around town trips and you will see how Google is collecting cell phone usage data and how much better it is reporting.

What's up, i was searching for Taxies to get me fast to an important bussiness meeting, it was far from the Airport and, i found this site taxidublinairport.ie. I gave it a try and I was not disappointed by doing that. When i ordered the Taxi from the Airport, i selected my location and they gave me the price for the trip, which is a very good note.
