Cory was a good guy but too conservative to win, You have to play the game like the Democrats with some PC BS now and then. Tim Kaine's win here means nothing

Yes taxpayers and more important voters are sick of the schools sucking so much money because of an elected school board of liberals who have to outdo all other liberal challengers in spending and squandering so much money on non necessities such as changing school names as scores go down, FCPS is a shadow of what it once was and people that know are in tune with that fact

Young people of Fairfax County's voters can not afford basic starter apartments today because illegals cram into the units and can pay any amount of inflated rent the landlords demand

People are tired of the illegals and the costs they bring even though they smile in your faces and say OH NO

People are tired of no one really being in charge of Fairfax Country

And everyone is tired of the potholes and crummy roads in Fairfax that are not fixed that can destroy your car like the car killer on Rt 1 north just inside the Fairfax line on the far right edge of the road, I missed it this weekend but I saw how the victims had hit it.

No Ones In Charge In Fairfax County !

Big changes?

Replacing old libtards with slightly younger libtards isn't exactly a change.

If they are truly "fed up" with traffic and overcrowded schools and all the other nuisance shit, you can count on them to solve all of it the same way the fossils in there now handled it - by raising taxes.

So I guess your pockets are simply not deep enough top absorb any more taxes? You live in a low-tas area, and still you are being crushed by taxes? What a useless piece of shit you must be!

Out with the old bat. Out with the twisted wig. Out with the sideburns. Out with the pasty chef, er, cook.

After reading through the article, with the references to Ben Tribbett, I'd be willing to bet he's Gerrymanderer2 here on our site. It seems very obvious to me.

The names will change over time. Control and direction will not. The Big Blue Wave will only push things in Fairfax further and further to the left. You reactionary assholes are losing all that's left of your one-time grip here. Your day is done, and thankfully so.

this can only mean Jeff Bezos and perhaps Bill Gates see's a maryland bitch controlling fairfax, dc implant niggs in the gov, and are like

"that could be us and our family, why are we letting them do it?"

and they're probably right unless virginians vote otherwise: but due to obama / bulova most virginians are DEAD (by suicide and robbery) or on welfare, n.i. gov workers who vote democrats

exactly obama's plan

After taking time to read the linked article I found it interesting that:

1. John Cook is not seeking reelection for his seat. It sounds like he was a "Never Trumper" and blamed Trump for the current climate of how people are behaving. What he doesn't realize is that this all started back in 2008 or even before. Barack Obama was creating divides and hate in people at a much greater rate than Trump is.

2. Pat Herrity has been seeking "common sense" reform for the Fairfax County employees pension plan. But the democrat candidate that will be running against him in his district criticized him for initiating what he did. The county taxpayers will not be able to sustain the current pension plan without having to expand the tax rates even more than they do each year.

Just common sense trying to get applied by Herrity - and people are criticizing it. Hold onto your wallets!

^^^Nonsense like this is why Republicans find it harder and harder to win in Fairfax. You can continue to exist in your Conservative fantasy world being reassured by Trumpian propaganda and complain about the leaders Fairfax County elects. Or you can try to reach out beyond your base and build bridges with those who don't buy into your philosophy, but who agree that the solutions currently being pushed by the Democratic orthodoxy are not the right ones. This is what Cook has done. This is why Cook has been able to win in a district which leans heavily Democratic. Cook is popular in his district because he isn't driven by philosophical concerns. He is driven by addressing the needs of his constituents.
