Blizzard of 2010 this weekend
Posted by: snow ()
Date: February 02, 2010 02:08PM

3-6" of snow tonight, but that's NOTHING compared to what is coming this weekend. Friday/Saturday's storm could be even BIGGER than the blizzard we had last month. Be prepared to measure the snow with a yard stick. 1-3 feet possible at this time.

Please plan ahead and start the following threads now:

1) Sarcastic invitation for people with SUVs to act like shitheads
2) Notice to public to stock up on milk, bread, and toilet paper
3) Angry rant about FCPS closing for too much or too little
4) Pictures of LOLcats in snow

I'm tired of careening into the same old ditches storm after storm. I'm digging new ditches as we speak so my car has new and exciting places to slide into!

Don't forget to get out early in the morning before all the good ditches are taken.

No. Wait until the snow starts falling and work lets out. You want to make sure there are near-panic conditions as you fight with a gaggle of angry soccer moms for the last loaf of Whitewheat Bread.

I figured it's best to just put my car in a ditch BEFORE the snow, this way, it saves me the trouble of having to go out tomorrow and I wont be getting in the way of all the drivers out with their 4WD either.

It's a WIN for all! I'm hoping this will catch on, come on people!

If you have a BMW you should probably claim the small incline on the Toll road right before Wolf Trap early... That area was very popular over the weekend.

From Arlington County;

Another severe winter storm, with near blizzard conditions, is forecast to hit Arlington Fri., Feb. 5 through Sat., Feb. 6. Be prepared to shelter in place for 3 to 5 days . Please stay off the roads. Snow crews will plow primary and secondary roads first for emergency vehicles. After severe storms (more than 10â€), it may take 36-48 hours after the snow stops before County plows can get to residential streets. Removal and treatment may take several days. For cancellations, more info, tips, visit the County Website (http://www.arlingtonva.us/portals/topics/TopicsWeatherWinter.aspx)
