I have been listening to O & A recently, and have noticed that Dukes owes Jim Norton
something. Chad, you have modeled your on-air personality on Norton that it is tantamount to ego-diffusion. Your delivery, self-deprecation, and lifted phrases are glaring. At points, you are not even bothering to repackage it. I am surprised that Norton's people have not sent you a C&D...
Chad, I think you can be genuinely funny. Be yourself. Leave 'Lil Jimmy to 'Lil Jimmy. If you read this Mr. Sisson, you know it is true.

Chad probably wouldn't be bad if he had a more interesting co-host. As it is now, Dukes has to carry the whole fucking show and Lavar really doesn't give him a whole lot to work with.

Chad is pretty good. Ditch Lavar...that guy has a hard time forming a correct sentence.

If you think Lavar has a hard time forming a sentence, you shoudl try listing to the competition on 980. Thompson and Walker need a translater most days just to decipher what they are saying - it's really bad.

I like Chad and Levar - I think they do a nice job.

Thompson shouldn't be anywhere near a microphone. Just because someone has a deep voice doesn't mean they can be on radio. He's pretty awful.

At the same time, though, Danny Boy didn't stick him on drive-time like WJFK did Chad and Lavar. Lavar is like listening to a fat, 13-year-old black kid tell you what he thinks of the world. It's not interesting.

Chad is just trying to make Lemonade out of a Lemon and earn a paycheck. He was much better when paired with Oscar. Neither are particularly flourishing in their current endeavors....

Its because they both lack the respect to be a worthwhile DJ. Anyone can get on the air and use someone elses brand of comedy, but they lacked originality. Ive never heard radio personalities degrade their listerners so often and to the degree they would take it. Chad Sisson needs to be careful about his choice of words. He is going to upset the wrong person one day, and being a "local" personality, which is all he will ever become, he is more susceptible to someone actually seeing him in person.

Back to the original poster's comments, Dukes does model a lot of his shtick off of Norton and O&A in general. What with calling people "zilch" and the quick quips of "stupid" to somebody when they make a comment he disagrees with. But at least he admits that he's an O&A fanboy and that Norton is his hero, so whattya gonna do, some of that stuff will bleed through when you have to talk for 5+ hours a day.

Wasnt diverting from the post. So its ok to use someone else's originality rather than come up with some on your own? Man, he's really heading places then.
