No. The tallest\highest building in FFX county is the Reston Sheraton. The land is also the tallest point in FFX.

Lurker, Radiophile actually said tallest building in FFX City, not county.

And the highest elevation in FFX County is not in Reston, it's in Tysons Corner, near the intersection of of 123 and International Drive

http://cohp.org/va/Fairfax_1.html

But that brings up something I sorta always wondered about- what is the tallest building in FFX county? I always thought it was the Tycon Tower (aka Handbag Building) in Tysons, but I don't know fer sure. I drive by the Reston Sheraton quite a bit and it doesn't seem nearly a high as that Tycon building. The Sheraton in Tysons is also one of the taller buildings around.

I don't know where to look up this stuff, but it'd be interesting to see.

I don't know what the tallest building in Fairfax county IS....but it AIN'T the Tycon Tower....which is only 17 stories.

Heck, the aging Skyline Towers buildings at Bailey's Crossroads are 26 stories.

Skyline Towers

I looked at a place there back in 99, it was on the 23rd floor, and I thought that was the very top, but maybe not. It had an awesome view, you could see the capitol and monument from up there.

I have never been in Skyline Towers but they are big. Check www.skyscrapers.com - it is a way cool site that lets you look at all buildings in a city. What City is skyline actually in?

The Ritz Carlton in Tysons would certainly be in the running...

It's pretty impressive looking and I know you can see it from Columbia Pike near Lincolnia Rd

I have a friend who lives on the top floor of a high rise in downtown Silver Spring, and you can see that Skyline building in Bailey's from his apartment window, it's all lit up at night and does look pretty cool.

Gantt Hill is a 509 foot 'mountain'.

The Best Western was demolished in March 2017. It sat on the side of Gantt Hill. The Bank of America building at 8300 Greensboro Dr (across from Boro Whole Foods) sits atop Gantt Hill.

The tallest building will sit at Route 7 & Tyco Rd at the Spring Hll Metro. The Iconic Tower will is going to be 600 feet tall and will sit at the base of Gantt Hill.
