“Carpetbagger” gets used unfairly in VA politics but in Stewart’s case it’s well-earned. People in Prince William’s know that, he was an old school republican who idolized guys like Romney. Then Trump got elected, and all of a sudden he’s out there pandering to the “Pepe” crowd, calling people “cucks” and “betas”, posting pro-confederate memes, and talking in that phony southern drawl. 1983-84. It is in the article you posted. By my calculations that would be a year or two before Stewart. Kaine went to Richmond. Stewart moved to NoVa.

It is humorous hearing about carpetbaggers. When was the last time we had a major party candidate for Senate who was a Virginian? Answer-Jim Gilmore who lost to Mark Warner in 2008. Aside from Gilmore every Virginia Democratic or Republican candidate for senator from this century was born elsewhere and came to Virginia either while in college or later. Even John Warner was from DC.

Corey wants to raise people's taxes just as much as Wexton. He's done it to Prince William County.

In the end, he's just preaching to the wrong crowd.
