Odd how there is always money and time for FCPD to paint their logos on all the odd vehicles they seize for kicks, but there's no time or money to get facility parking gates fixed.

Has anybody seen FFax Co PD's jet ski? You're not safe from our po-po ANYWHERE!

The funny thing is that except for Pohick Bay Fairfax County has no (tidal) water under it's jurisdiction! But does that stop them from going out on the Potomac River (Maryland water) and hassling boaters about open beers, etc?

NOOO!

Pohick Bay Fairfax County

I was there last spring and the FFX cops were hanging out there. I didn't see any boats in the water or any people around, I was the only car in the lot, but there were 2 cruisers and 3 cops hanging out. It seemed strange, but I didn't remember it until you mentioned the name.

So much for the high school kids who hang out on the pathways sneaking a toke. Maybe this will make the rapists and criminals think twice about hiding on pathways.

Pohick bay has the fire department boat, I saw it. I would asume there would be a police boat too but I didn't see it.

The Police Boat is parked right next to the Fire Boat.

It's for use on the trail system. Big deal. I don't see why this is a bad thing, especially in MS-13 plagued Reston. If it prevents some gang activity or any other crime on the trail system, I see no problem.

Do the latinos get a discount on Corona? It's not cheap, yet that and Tecate seem to be their beer of choice. I'll take my $4.99 12 of High Life bottles from Rite Aid. It's the champagne of beers.

Different budgets. Plus the buildings are not maintained by the police department. Another county agency does that. So they fix what they feel is important. Bet this thing came from some type of grant. The federal government will spend money on anything.

Besides Pohick Bay they have Dogue Creek (similar to Pohick Bay) Belmont Bay, Occoquian Bay, Occoquian River, Massey Creek, And several small sections of the Potomac.

Dogue Creek is a barely navigable mud hole.

I believe Occoquan River is Prince William and Occoquan Bay is Maryland.

But regardless, I have, on many occasions, seen the Fairfax Marine Patrol hassling boaters in Maryland waters. Look at a NOAA chart, it shows where the state lines are.

Isn't the Ft.Belvoir marina in Dogue creek? We used to rent jet skis from there in HS.

i bet they have this so that it's easier to ticket people that dont have up to date tags. you know, people that have expired tags on their plates are criminals too! just wait for one of the cops to put a bullet into someone's empty, parked car. "it tried to run me over!"
